wow! cabinet dudes are hard core critics. i have airbrushed and custom painted cars worth more than alot of homes and the attitudes are way different.
@palomino13 I've noticed..lol.. I painted them for my sisters kitchen and she absolutely loves them, they look much nicer and more modern and cost a fraction of replacing them. ah well.
I wish to duplicate your tint mixing formula by either weight or volume for the cabinet painting project, can you please help. The ratio of 4:1:1:1, by itself is insufficient.
I wish I could be more help, from what I recall I pretty well overreduced RM Diamont BC250 which is a black. It was reduced to be transparent and still uses the original color underneigth, its almost impossible to duplicate the color without using the same colored cabinets.
i hate when people ruin oak with such dark stains, and painting maple white is just stupid. If you are going with white do it to mdf.
i just sprayed a bamboo kitchen a really dark cherry and it completely ruined the grain definition. anyone else worked with bamboo? this was the first time for me and it was pretty different.
im doing the same doors the same color, but im wiping and it blows, i gotta do 2 coats to get it close to a clean color and then gonna spray the clear
I'm thinking about spray painting my maplewood cabinets white. however i was told not to do it because the paint may chip off, etc. have you had any of that problem with your cabinets yet?
More of an experiment job, they looked pretty good installed at the house. There is a pic on the website. Urethane is easier to come by free for me, sisters cabinets.
Did you have to sand before you painted them?

Why do you sputter the gun on the edges? That makes no sense. Do you sputter car door jams like this? Stick to painting cars.

All of that spraying and the cabinet doors still look uneven and bad at the end. Why not use lacquer toners? Also this job must have taken forever.
