January 25, 2012 - Jewel the Black Bear - Highlights

I feel so lucky to observe Jewel and her cubs. Who would have thought having bear cubs is so similar to having a human new born. It brings back many memories of when I was a first time mother. Thank you to all those who make this experience possible.

One of the babies always seems to be fussing! Sweet Jewel is such a tender Mama. And tired!

Jewel looks tired, but what a good mother. They are so tiny, love watching these clips of them. I wood have the biggest bags under my eyes. It is so wonderfull to have this at the tip of our finger tips to watch. Thanks to all of you hard workers to make this all possible for everyone.

Jewel does an awesome 'downward facing bear'. The cubs are so tiny. I love the duet nursing chittering at the end.
