  • how did you customize your combinator?

  • THanks very much! Really nice of you to teach us.

  • who else doesn't understand what the hell pwiszigo10 is talking about

  • Awsomeness, thanks!

  • 3:00 sounds like mr oizo flat beat

  • Where do you get your drum kicks and claps? Ive been working on electro and dubstep, and its really hard to get a good hard hitting track without a solid drumline. Thanks man and keep up the great work, ur tutorials are very helpful

  • Some of the key elements to creating a hard hitting drum sound that sits well in the mix (especially with bass heavy electronica) are things like EQ and compression. Even some of the sounds on the reason soundbank can sound good with the right use of EQ and compression. With the kicks, remember to EQ the sub frequencies out and most of the time you wont need any of the high end. With sampled sounds there is always some residual unwanted frequencies, try cutting them with an EQ and compress them.

  • AHHHH FUCKING SHIT FUCKING HELL why do I fail at almost every tutorial!? D: When he showed how it would sound like at 3:08, I just got a fucking "bom! vuvuvuvuvu" AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!

  • @DjFooli

    Did you initialize the patch?

  • @audioengulf thank you :$

  • wow wow wow wow wowowowowowow sooper

  • Can we download your refills anywhere?

  • how do i change the speed of the wobble

i juts got reason, i usually use logic studio and there was a slider changng the speed

  • @happymarik

if you right click on the LFO rate, right click and click on edit automation and move the dots about to change the speed, youtube it

  • im never leaving reason u actly can do anyfucking ting onit! woopwoop reason 5 is great haha

  • I feel like afrojack is talking to me in everyone if his tutorials XD except with better English

  • you sound so much like chris griffin

  • @neeharavi like a more grown up version of chris, but unlike chris Luckydate knows what he is doing

  • You sound like Chris from Family Guy.

  • @butters369 Not really..

  • thanks alot man.. i had never used reason in my life. and made a track using 2 of your instructional vids.. its on my page and is called Monk Rythym lol tell me if u like it

  • Yeah dood you're a boy genius. Just got reason and you're sounds Effin ill.

  • is this just like fl studio where your press the keyboard and does it play the sound?

  • @theforrus

    yes

  • great tutorial! but i have a question...

is there a way, to assign the "wobble" ratio to specific notes? first note at 3/16, second note at 1/8 etc.

  • @BuddyHotshot83 yes draw in the automation for the lfo rate . soooo just automate it.

  • Ok i got the sound, perfect. How do you slow the rate & stuff down in the automation, like in the little example you made. Iv tried all the automation but cant find it.

  • @juicebrad its the "rate" knob in MOD A of the lower synth

  • @juicebrad right click on rate....and click edit automation then draw it in on the new automation lane

  • Great

  • Awesome video,

never felt like making dubstep till I made this sound :D

  • Is your refill available yet?

  • annoying as fuck voice.

  • @billyrohnsen hahahahaah wow buddy! i almsot shit my self...

  • how can I bind the rate to a knob on my midi controller ?

  • @TheXlr8ion right click on rate click edit remote override mapping, the make sure the box is checked " learn fro control...." then turn the knob on your controller. done

  • mate is what up with your combinator, you're gonna lose customers because it looks like a clowns radio and no-one can see what you're doing apart from that very well done!

  • hey dude. ive got the wobble synth down. buuuut. how do i get my drum kit to not have wobble? like lay the wobble over the beat.

  • @vlcmstn815 just dont put in the master chain, loo at how your routing is being done, your drum kit should NOT be wobbling if its not being inserted somewhere in the master chain, make sure its either seperate or atleast side chained or gated to be seperate from the wobble effect that you have going for your drones or bassline synths

  • @vlcmstn815

put the drum kit in a separate combinator, and hook everythi ng up in separate combinators with individual mixers.

  • torrent.. demonoid

  • are those download sites?

  • just google 'torrent' and read up on what it is then you might understand. its confusing

  • oh alright for sure then thanks!!

    aprreciate it

  • actually the wobble originated in dubstep and D&B NOT fidget house or electro.

  • @klone138 Well, in that case it most definently originated in Dnb about 15 years before Dubstep.

  • and yet...fidget house does it so much better.

  • The rate he is using is a tempo sync rate of 1/16 beat you can also change up the speed of the wobble by changing the rate to 1/8, 1/8t, 1/8d etc. . .

  • Yes hello. How did you make the faceplate?

  • just right click the combinator -> click "select backdrop" and select a jpeg file witch you want to have as backdrop

  • Thanks and I will save this in my favorites. I'm into hip hop I like that gritty sounds.

  • when i try to change the rate in mod A it wont let me go below zero, my options are 0-127???

  • click the "sync" button

  • All MIDI controls rely on parameters between 0 and 127. If any parameter in Reason allows you to go below 0, it's not actually modifying MIDI parameters, it's just using a proprietary scale to modulate an internal setting.... So in the case of Mod a's rate, since it's a MIDI-assignable parameter, it goes 0-127 where 0 is as slow as the mod wave can be played and 127 is as fast as it can play.

  • people! If you dont get it. It's not for you... ;-)

  • no way man, this stuff isn't easy but everyone knows it just takes time... lots and lots of fucking time ;)

  • ure so pathetic intertubers -.- he tries to help ppl who want to learn it and i faggot think u have to leave a ghey comment like this - this is so ridiculous

  • @pwiszigo10 and *i* faggot *think u have* to leave a *ghey* comment like this? GRAMMAR FAILS EVERYWHERE!

  • @ThePencil901

    notthefuckingpoint

  • @ThePencil901 grammer cops and ruixish missed the point

  • @pwiszigo10 So.... Your saying your a faggot?

  • Wow you're arrogant. WOW. *WOOOOOOW.*

  • wow i can sound like mr oizo now hahahaha

  • how did you get your wobble to double speed at the end of each section you played while on the fly?

  • you need to use the combinator, and map the OCILATOR RATE to one of the combinator knobs, which will allow you to use one of the knobs on your USB midi controller (assuming you have a midi keyboard with knobs)

  • how do you save your bass ?

  • My god ! I've been stuck in Reason and you make it look so easy ! First thing tomorrow when I get back tomorrow from a long day I'm going to buy your refill !

  • really nice tutorials!

how do you get the ideas for your songs?

  • haha i dunno they just come out!

  • @luckydatevideos i am looking for a sound that would match the splat sound from Split the Atom Bar 9 Remix. Think you can pull that off?

  • @sbdjsystem Drugs lol

  • this has helped me so much mate!

  • i had install the reason today and it isntworking properlly....no sound comes out...anyone can help me?TY

  • hi!

you have to set up in : edit......preferences......audio.

then you choose your audio card.

  • Wicked tutorials mate, pleaseeeeeeee keep them coming

  • this is way off topic, but do you think you can recreate that main synth lil jon uses?? i try to recreate it but i just cant do it, a good example in a song is( Katt Williams - Sweat ya perm out ) please tell me if you can do make that, its killin me!! lol

  • this is just a simple lead synthe. (dance synthe is the best to do it ;)

then play on the attack, reverb, delay, eq... watever you want then you'll find your prefered sound!

  • lol

  • nevermind i figured it out thanks : )

i just created a track for the second malstrom and then i could edit it

  • awesome video! thanks alot.

one question, im kinda a noob.

i can't seem to record the rate change on the malstrom under the wahwah combinator.

when i try to record it and change the rate knob nothing happens... am i supposed to route the wahwah malstrom into something else?

    thanks

  • or send me the combinator u have at the bottom??

please it would be a lot easier

  • i followed everything on the first vid

and im certain i followed it in the first vid but its not working when i click on combinator, no sound is coming and ive tried clicking on the malstrom and it isnt making anynoise.

    help pleasssssse?

  • Is the combinator connected to a mixer?

  • yep!!

  • Nice man, thanks for posting this... much more clear and thorough than the other tutorials on this subject

  • Thanks for re doing this, sounds much better now hearing the synth in action.
