  • If you look closely at 0:56, LeBron traveled....

  • @Johnman0615 I see it

  • @Johnman0615 Congratulations on being 2 years late to the "LeBron traveled" comment train.

  • 0:14 "WHAT- THATS ASSFUCK"

  • guys did you see that 0:20 florida st is upsetting BYU. Very impressve

  • That would piss me the f*** off!!

  • girls asking questions .. never ends.

  • "we never took a knee" actually you took a arrow to the knee

  • @TheXLGamer youre an idiot

  • @lebronwho92190 He was an idiot...until he took an arrow to the knee

  • I can't believe those ref's fucked that up!

  • Can't beleive those refs

  • "what were you upset about on that last play?" I wouldve flown off the handle. What the fuck do you think?

  • LOL faked out the ref!!

  • @DivShadow: Faked YOU out. NCAA Rule 4-1-3(o) says faking a kneel ends the play.

  • @DavidForthoffer Does it really? I didn't know that. This is the first time I've seen something like this.

  • @DivShadow: The reason you rarely see a fake kneel is because it has the same effect as a real kneel, so the quarterback normally just kneels. You only saw it here because the coach didn't know the rules.

  • @DavidForthoffer I see

  • #18 didnt fall for it.

  • I can't tell who knows less about football, the coach, or the people here in the comments who think the refs botched this play.

  • @PieBloc they did. Ask anyone, not the piece of crap rulebook that gives bad call after bad call, ask a person. I don't watch football but when i do I see 3-4 bad calls a game

  • @TheMontageMasters: I take it you think football should by played by YOUR rules, and not by NCAA or NFL rules.

Do you really think that the ball carrier touching his knee to the ground should end the play, while the ball carrier ALMOST touching his knee to the ground should let the play continue? How do you think arguments about which happened should be resolved? With the NCAA and NFL rules, it is not even an issue.

The case of (fake) spiking is different; we can see where the ball went.

  • @DavidForthoffer Well the professional and high level sports seem incapable of having good rules. Did you see the calvin johnson play 2 years ago? Or how about recently in college when a player got a touchdown taken away for putting the ball in the air? Or what about celebration rules, terrible penalties that shouldn't exist? The rulebooks are alright but need a ton of improvement

  • that fake was so good the refs fell for it xD

  • you know what i think is funny is how the reporter walks up and says what happend on the last play is she retarded or what

  • Haha what did you expect? You're playing at D.K.R.

  • The score at 0:49 is just tragic -____-

  • i love football but i dont know what happened, can someone tell me

  • @650hpreventon Usually towards the end of a game, the quarterback will kneel down to end the play but keep the clock moving. In this video he faked the kneel, but the stupid ass refs weren't paying close enough attention.

  • @BoggleDongMongerFlog Actually the "stupid ass" coach doesn't know the rules. You just have to declare yourself down and make no attempt at forward progress or a pass attempt in order for the play to be blown dead. Nowhere in the rules does it say anything about taking a knee.

  • @FeebleNosemanny: NCAA Rule 4-1-3(o) says that simulating kneeling converts a live ball to a dead ball.

  • @FeebleNosemanny Dude its like one of the first 3 rules in the handbook, He isn't down if his knee never touched the ground, this was a legitimate play that the refs botched up.

  • @BoggleDongMongerFlog: Since faking a kneel is a legal play that instantly ends the play, I'd apply "stupid ass" to someone other than the refs.

Note that refs do not have to blow a whistle for a play to end. They can just declare it.

  • even i know the rule is you cant fake a knee. i could probably coach at texas tech!

  • we never toke a knee we never toke a knee

  • the fake knee should be a real play just like the fake field goal, punt etc.

  • @sockomatic222 why, its kinda pointless, youre not really fooling anyone. people will still come and tackle you unless they blow the whistle

  • This is a chickenshit move by the players/coaches...

  • Texas getting the benefits of the refs? Wow. Shocking.

  • i love the end the reporter chick comes up " so what made you mad in the last play" coach is like "no shit what do you think" well its not like texas tech could beat the longhorns anyway

  • @steelers88765 This is why women should not be reporting football games. Dumbest question ever, duh, what made ya mad coach, duh huh, you - asking me what made me mad, where were you 45 secs. ago, putting on your lipstick?

  • just another example of the bias college football refs have in favor of top 10 football teams

  • still was gonna get sacked by texas' number 2 and 18 either way, pointless argument

  • @glinesbe12 he was gonna get sacked cause his offensive linemen stopped blocking cause the whistle rang.

  • Refs are so stupid sometimes this proves they don't even watch what is going on

  • What were you upset about mike?........well he didn't come to my christmas party last year. What a moronic question

  • 0:18 M C A!!!!

  • I couldnt see the video, Mike locked me in the equipment closet

  • its elligal in NFL but not in college

  • @cordizzle84jenkins learn how to spell thanks.

  • @SuperVikingsbeast: Learn how to use punctuation. Thanks!

  • @DavidForthoffer Lmfao you're a nosey one aren't cha. ;D

  • Funny looking kitchen.

  • @jmdproducing That doesn't work here , dumb ass

  • you can't fake a knee..

  • @true2853634 u use to be able to but not anymore

  • @true2853634

    fake kneeing is illegal right?

  • @MegaGaming4you: Faking a knee IS legal. It is just that faking a knee ends the play, just like actually taking a knee ends the play. See NCAA Rule 4-1-3(o). NFL has a similar rule, though it only applies behind the line of scrimmage.

  • @true2853634 in college you can.

  • fooled no one except the refs

  • @23NaLi: Why do you think the refs were fooled? NCAA rules do not require them to WHISTLE the play immediately dead. They can just declare it dead. Maybe they were a little slow doing that because they figured the players knew the rules.

  • Their is a rule in the NFL and in College football, you are not allowed to do a fake kneel, and doing so ends the play. I don't know the official rule, but that's basically what it says.

  • @MrLaedis: To clarify: In both the NFL and College football, you ARE allowed to fake a kneel. It's just that faking a kneel ends the play, as does actually taking a kneel. NCAA Rule 4-1-3(o).

  • Its bullshit plays like this that make things difficult. Quit dicking around and play the game.

  • Go Cougs!

  • There is a rule in the NCAA, as well as the NFL, that states that if a player kneels, or imitates kneeling, the play is dead.

  • C'mon Man

  • scratch that 0:48

  • look at the score on the crawler at 0:42

  • shut up tech fans. make it more obvious then

  • Ref fucked them... point blank period

  • @148949740 Without that whistle, Sergio Kindle may have killed him. They weren't fucked, the play was going nowhere kindle had him wrapped up

  • @148949740: Since NCAA Rule 4-1-3(o) says that simulating a kneel ends the play, the COACH and announcers screwed up.

NFL has pretty much the same rule.

  • @148949740 all the refs did was screw up the play and let them avoid a sack. The refs fucked them out of a 3 yard loss

  • Refs r stupid

  • i ment didint texas tech win that game?

  • didnt texas win that game or was that a pasted season?

  • i dont understand what happens there... who did a foul?!

  • @gildo1080 He faked a kneel to make texas stop and head off so they could get a td. But they fooled texas and the refs :L

  • @potatoman9000: No. They fooled themselves, because the NCAA rules say that faking a kneel ends the play.

  • @gildo1080 ARE YOU SERIOUS?

  • he was avoiding taking a arrow to the knee

  • @TheXLGamer hey. i wanted to bring that joke ;-P

  • @TheXLGamer ... Well played, sir.

  • @sonicismybrawler thank you :)

  • LISA WHERE THE FUCK DID U GO...

  • The funniest part of the video is the coaches record

  • @GCMbros mike leach is a great coach he was trying to overcome an established program

  • 0:52 Hell yeah! My EWU Eagles beating N Colorado 16-0 (:

  • sub to me and i will sub to you

  • didnt matter, number 2 on texas was about to destroy the QB anyway

  • pretty stupid rule...i mean how do you define "simulating a knee"? if he went down a few inches less would that be ok?

  • @rjdrays288: A LOT of football rules involve judgement calls. It's no different with "simulating a knee". Some movements are clearly simulating a knee. Some movements are clearly NOT simulating a knee. Somewhere in between it gets to be a judgement call, just like numerous other calls in football.

  • Bulls**t

  • the officials just saved that QB's life

  • so, you can fake spike the ball. But you can't fake kneel. these rules make sense.

  • @bloodonmykill: You CAN both fake spike the ball and fake kneel.

If you fake spike, the defense can SEE what happened to the ball, and will know it was a fake.

If you fake kneel, the defense CANNOT see whether you completed the kneel. So the rule is that a fake kneel is the same as a real kneel—both end the play.

  • @DavidForthoffer Are you serious right now? That's one of the dumbest things i've ever heard. It's called Fake for a reason, to simulate the real thing, therefore confusing the defense. There's nothing illegal about confusion. Sadly, there's also nothing that says that referees can't be idiots...

  • @Akazy76: NCAA Rule 4-1-3(o) says that a live ball becomes a dead ball when the ball carrier simulates kneeling.

Sadly, there's also nothing that requires coaches to understand the rules.

The NFL has a similar rule, though they restrict it to behind the line of scrimmage.

  • @Akazy76 What about fake fair catches? Should we allow those too? Not all "confusion" is legal. The idea of a fake kneel is pretty stupid anyway since it would only happen during the last play before halftime when the clock is stopped and the team is out of field goal range. What would you really hope to do with the fake kneel?

  • @ikilledsanta123 Idk why don't you go ask Dan Marino, seemed to work rather well for him.

  • @Akazy76 Marino faked a spike. He didn't fake taking a knee. Big difference.

  • @Howiedoin77: Right. The defense can tell whether a quarterback actually spikes the ball by looking at where the ball goes. But the defense cannot tell whether the quarterback actually kneels. So it is good that the rules state that for a fake knee the play ends.

  • 1:11 His coaching record in Austin is 0-4

  • since the officials got fooled also, you know the fake was damn effective. but maybe just a little too effective...

  • @WickedMediaz: The only thing the officials did wrong was to blow the play dead a little late. They should have blown the play dead as soon as he faked the kneel.

  • why do these media people ask the dumbest questions

  • I would have laid out the quarter back so hard

  • misses by 12 inches??? try 4

  • @CyclonexxxIce Well his knee is above his right heel so depending on his shoe size it's probably a good 12 inches. Back up your claim with some support little guy.

  • so what was the final scoer to this game? who won?

  • ..... even if the refs saw that his knee didnt touch the ground...he would of got layed out... did any of you not see how many niggaz was on tha QB... wtf..and then the QB actin all pissed cuz they blew the whistle.... lol i think they saved him from an injury in my opinion.

  • @naptowntillz no it was a 3 man rush the only reason why they even got past the o line was because of the whistle they gave up on the play

  • fucking refs are useless. might as well have god damn robot refs

  • they still won!

  • and not a single arrow to the knee joke is found

i am proud of you guys

  • @1234airows: We couldn't find any fake arrows...

  • @DavidForthoffer I think I stated my point quite clearly, big 12 refs are always paid off by UT. I didn't mention anything about this play, just spreading the word about the big 12 refs

  • Comment removed

  • Big 12 refs are ALWAYS paid off by Texas

  • @JackieFan123: Since the only thing the refs did wrong here was to wait too long to blow the whistle, what is your point?

  • @DavidForthoffer ok, it would have been really cool in the NFL. I'm pretty sure its legal in the pros.

  • @isaiahawsum: It is legal in both the NCAA and NFL, and in both the play ends.

    NCAA Rule 4-1-3(o) says that.

NFL Rule 7-2-1(c) "An official shall declare the ball dead and the down ended: ... (c) when a quarterback immediately drops to his knee (or simulates dropping to his knee) behind the line of scrimmage;"

  • he was about to get his ass sacked anywyz

  • @Wollakazoo False.

  • refs made the right call, just not fast enough....stop complaining

  • Refs suck

  • That would have been awesome if he hadn't just stood there and let the defense nearly sack him before the refs blew the whistle

  • @isaiahawsum: Since the ball was dead the instant he faked a kneel, why would that have been awesome?

  • @DavidForthoffer well it would get him a penalty which would result in a freezing of the game and free yards, I think.

  • @lysol2: No, a fake kneel is completely legal, despite what whodat1994 says. A fake kneel, just like a real kneel, simply converts the live ball to a dead ball. The only thing the refs did wrong was to not immediately whistle the play over. See NCAA Rule 4-1-3(o).

  • @DavidForthoffer well I know that but he was sayin like what if the D-End or who ever hit him the QB any way. And I'm sayin well that might give them a late hit or roughin the passer thus prolonging the half, perhaps, not sure.

  • Why are they going to complain? The quarterback was gonna get raped if they let the play continue.

  • A fake knee isn't legal first off and the commentators are idiots, the Dan Marino play was a fake spike.

  • GO TEXAS TECH! FUCK THE REFS!

  • Proves the refs are to fuckin lazy

  • i know in the nfl you can;t fake a knee. Idk about ncaa tho

  • the rule is if you make any motion towards kneeing the ball it counts as a knee.

  • @emendoza88 in the nfl

  • if one of the DL - men wouldve come off the line and knock the shit outta that QB and the refs didnt blow teh wistle texas tech wouldve been pissed too...so quit bitchin

  • @Fabes902111 I completely agree with your incoherent, convoluted statement.

  • @Fabes902111 thats true, but there a slim chance of that happening considering the tech lineman were goin 100 percent and the ut tackles couldnt get shit. im far from texas and dont like either team. im just letting u know that was a dumb comment from someone who knows his team got lucky

  • We come from an age with so much technology. This could be corrected if sports intervened with computer technology more than just for replays. It's either: (a) we want games to be regulated by human error and let this happen or (b) 99.9% perfection through computer technology.

  • @bmadden85 i always wanted that i hate that a simple human mistake can change the out come of sports what about if a bunch of greedy owners and mob bosses were to orchestrate the computer technology and let us think it's a done by computer but it would really be them behind the scenes haha oh wait we do have that computer technology it's called "referee's"

  • @bmadden85: Considering that the referees were correct and the coach was wrong, I don't see your point.

  • "hehe, sorry I'm a fat fuck"

  • referees always messing a game up. they should be fined!

  • @weezyomac82: Since NCAA Rule 4-1-3(o) says that a live ball becomes a dead ball when the ball carrier simulates kneeling, why do you think the referees here messed up the game?

I think the coach and announcers made themselves look like fools for not understanding the rules.

  • @DavidForthoffer Thats actually not true!

  • @7sadbeeyotsh7: Rule 4, Section 1, Article 3 says, "A live ball becomes dead and an official shall sound his whistle or declare it dead: ... o. When a ball carrier simulates placing his knee on the ground." Page FR-56

  • @DavidForthoffer Well rules change! I guess youre right!

  • @DavidForthoffer I blame the coach. As a football player, I always notify the referee of the plays we run. For example, my team runs a fake field goal like LSU used against Florida. I tell the referee, they say something like "Make sure the holder's knee is off the ground", and they're on the watch for that play and the holder's knee for the rest of the game. The coach should've told the officials about the fake kneel, and the refs would've been watching to see if the knee ever touched. Easy.

  • @UmbrellaAssassin01: I like your technique of warning the referee of unusual plays you might be running. That would have been good here.

The difference here, though, is that it does not matter whether his knee actually touched the ground—the ball becomes dead at that moment anyway. But if the referees had been warned, they may have whistled the play dead right then, rather than waiting and possibly risking injury to the quarterback.

  • @DavidForthoffer They almost certainly would've notified the coaches that the play would be whistled dead immediately, and the coaches would've known this and not called the play in this situation.

  • @DavidForthoffer Refs blow whistle = Play is dead.

  • @Qub37: Although a ref blowing their whistle means the play is dead, they do not HAVE to blow their whistle for the play to end. They can just declare it dead.

NCAA Rule 4-1-3 says, "A live ball becomes dead and an official shall sound his whistle

OR declare it dead..." (emphasis added).

  • lol the reporter comes and asks: "What are you upset about"? as if we didn't know why

  • @hazemalsaadi I'll give Mike Leach credit for not giving a cynical answer.

  • @hazemalsaadi lol the coach was even puzzled like i know you just seen that shit. Took every inch not to slap her dumb ass lol

  • @MainStOrchestra: Since the coach was ignorant about the rules, why do you conclude the reporter was dumb?

  • @hazemalsaadi she said were dumbass

  • If you watch closely Lebron traveled

  • so that was possibly the dumbest question ever. we all know why hes upset
