  • petrucci rocks,he is different

  • Thanks so much for uploading this video! They didn't release a DVD so this is great!

  • Go Bruce Bouillet !!!!!

  • but eats paul gilbert? will be 1.90 per 60 kg

  • This song was composed by the great DON NIX (Sweet Surrender; Black Cat Moan, Amos Burke, etc.) ..Freddie did a great version but also did Jeff Beck.

    Regards

  • if satriani has hair, his guitar disappear? sucks

  • This is pretty lame. These guys are just playing a bunch bullshit. This sounds like if a 14 year could shred really fast. The technique is there but the ideas are very boring things that have been done a lot.

  • @fruitydickhole There's only so much you can do when you're soloing strictly in the blues scale, bitch.

  • @TehUberCyberBeast They aren't just playing blues scales. There was some dorian and mixo stuff in there too. It's still pretty tasteless soloing. These guys are good and I like some music that each of them has made but I just think this is not that good. What are you calling me bitch about, man? Because I didn't like a guitar solo? That seems pretty silly.

  • @fruitydickhole Well, maybe they stray out of the blues scale here and there, but you get my point. And you've got to remember that they're on stage having fun with improvisation; they're not sitting in their home studios writing the next best guitar solos.

Sorry, about calling you a bitch. I just felt like calling someone that yesterday for no reason. Lol. ;)

  • @TehUberCyberBeast Yeah. I see your point. I guess my point is kind of the same in that I don't think they are great improvisers. They are good at composing cool music but this improv isn't great. I mean, if they are having fun and are really behind what they are playing that's great but I don't like how it sounds. I'm really have more of a jazz background so I tend to hear a lot of really great improvisers. I guess that may cause me to judge this more harshly.

  • whos that guy with the les paul?

  • that lazy bastard haha yea definently hes juss chillin sayin to himself god when is this over

  • 2:02 i juss shit my pants, and now i smell my shit

  • paul gilbert:)

  • bob marley hat? im likin the new look mr satriani. hahaha

  • Dang Paul Gilbert is tall. Either that of Satch and Petrucci are small...

  • much prefer stevie ray's and jeff becks version

  • three highly talented guys. these may be 3 of the best ten guitarists on earth. but nothing about this would make me want to pick up a guitar. it's not very inspired at all. talent without soul is pretty much musical masturbation.

  • Beautiful. Overall I prefer the 96 G3 version with Vai and Johnson, but this is still great. Satch *wins* this one for me: 3.08 is just gorgeous!

  • there is way to much awesome on that stage

  • I love how Satch is normally body build, Paul is tall and lean, and John is shorter and muscular. Looks strange to me lol. Love them all, anyway.

  • @Tuzioya Satch is actually very very small. Like 5' 4 or 5' 5. I've met him. Took pics with him. Surprisingly very small.

  • @elixergtarist no way is he 5'5 i met him in october and hes easily 5'7- to 5'8 he was same size as me dude still a short arse though ha ha

  • Hahahah Satch is awesome!!

  • 2:03 is amazing! ahahaa

  • Father Joeseph holding high mass with his holy disciples!

Can it get any better than this!!

  • LMFAO SATCH with a damn rasta hat

  • 2:03 hahahahahahahaha

  • Man what's with all thumbs downed comments?

  • the song is called Goin' down :P (Joke)

  • surprised these guys decided to cover this, to be honest it doesnt work for me

  • Dont even close to Stevie Ray Vaughan and Jeff Beck.

  • Love the fatty at 2:03!

  • yeah im a huge dt fan as well, but in most vids i think satch stands out more, this one he dominates

  • Killzone mode to the power of 3! :O

  • this song isnt from jeff beck, it's from freddie king

  • I was hoping someone pointed that out.

  • More exactly was COVERED by Freddie...original written & performed by Don Nix.

  • If Steve Vai was there, and Gilbert would put more Presence in his tone (this way we wouldnt hear that nasally noise in his tone), We would have G4, and it would be perfect. The guitarists would never need to change.

  • wtf??? the SS logo on SATRIANI shirt??????whyy????

  • 4:48 satriani with hair!!!!! :D

  • Omg, Petrucci's second solo starting at 3:16 was godly. I think Paul's tone didn't really fit. Satriani was solid as always. My favorite player on this song was by far Petrucci though.

  • I much prefer the solos in this version to the Vai/ Satriani/ Johnson (although EJ's solo still kicked ass) verson. More feel, less tapping.

  • 4.33? who?

  • BRUCE BOUILLET

  • satriani sang with crowded house!

  • 2:05 Wtf ??? jajaja

  • hhahahahahahhahah fat angry accountant says : this aint the pussycatdolls!!! why am i here?!!! curse u ticketmaster!

  • Paul is very talented, but I cannot stand his tone. It's very...how shall I say, nasally?

  • haha Paul is so Tall good thig he is the best there!

  • lol, Paul is like twice as tall as joe and john xD

  • Listen to our CO2 version, with a more uptempo modern rock sound.

  • I do need to mention I did love this rendition.

  • is it me or is this the first time i have eva seen satriani sing?

  • You can see Satriani singing in the G3 DVDs or in Big Bad Moon, for example.

  • I did not know Paul was 9 feet tall wow.

  • That looks like a lot of fun:D

  • TAKE IT AWAY MARCO!

  • right am i wierd in sayin that satch shud defo tryt and get buckethead on one of his G3 tours, maybe satch buckethead and gilbert or vai, thated be fucking immense the jams that they had

  • the awsome combination would be vai satch and gilbert

  • I love Joe's wig. lol :)

  • Comment removed

  • 5:14 L0o0ol satch UNdeegr0o0o0o0o0ouuuund.

  • when did satriani become such a "geek". he looked normal in the 80's. he played better too.

  • OMG sounded so much like bucketheads guitar sound at 4:18

  • les paulish

  • its just les paul pretty much mixed with wah and sounds like a phaser

  • That's Bruce Bouillette, Paul's guitar partner in Racer X.

  • ok I know it wasnt buckethead :P i just ment that the sound from the guitar sounds really much like bucketheads guitar sound.

  • 2:06 zoom in on the old guy lol

  • That fourth guy is one lucky bastard:P

  • He was cool, he came down after the show was over and said he maybe could get Paul to come down. About 10 min later he did and Satch after him. My JP guitars got em all on it. Signed.

  • Wow! That's so totally awesome O_O

  • absolutely awesome dude. I wish I could have been there myself.

  • That fourth guy was in Racer X with Paul and deserves to be there

  • big bruce ftw

  • joe satriani is the best guitar

  • lol 2:08

    the lazy bastard

  • :))))

  • @scorp8503 John Goodman ?=)

  • @eaxconsole i don't know man... hahaha....

  • The G3 of my dreams...all my heroes togethaaa......

  • Alex Lifeson is the best guitarist. Satriani is the best bald guitarist ever.

  • was NOT expecting bruce bouillet at the end! killer video; good quality too!

  • lol, Satch doesn't know what to do at the end of a song without a guitar, but he still is awesome!

  • What a killer video!!! Thanks for posting it. I had seen the original G3 version but this is even better.

I was thinking before Joe's 1st solo...how would you be following Petrucci & then "Speedy Gonzales" Gilbert? And Joe is his usual cool self & delivers a wicked solo , with a tone most guitarists would kill to produce.

  • JOE THE RASTA

  • NOTHING BETTER THAN THIS!!

    Madison Square Garden MAGIC!

Don Nix wrote it...BUT Satriani & Co OWN IT!!

THANK-U spropaganda for this quality masterpiece!!

  • that guy of the security service looks like JOHN GOODMAN!!!!

    HAHAHAHHAHAHA

  • I love how they always stick the ridiculously tall guy in the middle.

  • i never noticed how tall paul actually was until this vid...unless joe and john are really short. haha

  • Ya, Paul is like 6'3, Vai is around that as well, I've met Petrucci and he's like 5'8 or so.

  • Whos the guy at 4:13?

    He Reminds me of Zakk

  • Do you mean bruce bouillet? Don't really know how to spell his last name but you get the point. He is most notably famous for being with Paul in the racer x days in the eighties. He was a former student of his at GIT.

  • Yes I mean the guy with Les Paul.

    He's really good.

  • Yep thats him. Bruce Bouillet.

Look up other videos of him, there are few up on youtube but they are worth it.
