I saw John live in concert at a fest last summer in Illinois. He was great! I have loved his music since I was 8 years old. He is one of the best! I love when the performers of the 80's tour again!

John needs the money. I'm not sure why, but he does. But Border's doesn't pay artists to perform there. Artists do it to sell CDs. It's sad that someone who had such a long career did not save for the "rainy day," when people stopped buying his music.

Lots of artists will go to Borders to promote their latest work. Instead of doing a book signing they just give a little concert and sometimes a meet and greet session following. It's not unusual, and the artists usually have a lot of fun with it and it gives them a more intimate experience with their fans.
