@carnagecat8 This is an old trailer, released before they got to the final Portal 1 look. You may call this some sort of beta, if you want, as they were still experimenting with how the game would look and play like. Actually, you may even call the whole Portal 1 a beta experiment, as that's how they used it before deciding to make Portal 2, being this why Portal 2 look so different too.

@lucaria44 Sometime later in the game,you are given a cube with hearts on it called the companion cube.You basically have to take it through the testing chamber,as it is nessicary for completion,but at the end,(This may be considered spoiler in some way...)you have to throw it in an incinerator to move on.

@CTAT98 The other problem is that there is no such thing as "degrees kelvin". The unit of measure is "Kelvins", so you just say 4000 Kelvins. ;) But the cube indeed lives on. I can't wait for Portal 2!

If u r using firefox there is a pluggin that allows to download youtube video's - u can then use windows movie maker or mediacoder to sever the video from the audio and create an mp3 file - the fire fox app is called 'unplug'! hope this helps

Nothing hard, just open a portal above the turret, on the ceiling, and the other under the cube. It will fall directly into the turret.

Great, another idiot. I know, the other video was posted before, but it's only the original trailer with the song and some other parts, edits. I never downloaded it, if you hadn't showed me I wouldn't ever know. And I did this video all myself, with the sucking WMM, and a lame computer. No, I think it's from the original Portal trailer, while the game was stil in development. That's why the portals look different.

it is as fun on the xbox as on the computer. the only diference is that you cant noclip and spawn stuff. also you dont have a map editor. but the xbox has no lag. my computer couldn't take the demo of portal. it was like 5 fps when the portal opened. even when all the settings were turned down.
