  • love this vid and how it's not biased to either brand. Thank you! :)

  • I want to win Makeup Forever

  • where did you get that big mufe tin

  • thanks you so much for the review! this is just what i wanted to know about the 2 brands. keep on doing these kind of reviews and vids.

  • I find that no matter what shadow base I use, the MUFE eyeshadows don't stay as bright as when they first go on, they sort of dull out after a few hours. The longevity and color payoff on MAC shadows is definitely much better. I've experienced the same issue with Wet n' Wild shadows that everyone on YouTube loves, the 188 and Coastal Scents palettes.

  • Are your MUFE shadows the Matte ones??? I like the strong bright colors... Do those are long lasting and high pigmented???

  • where's the link for the tins....?

  • Great video! Very helpful!! :D

  • this is really helpful !! I just thinking whether give a try to buy MUFE eyeshadow

  • woooooooooow your paletts is very beautiful

  • are very easy to bellend--err--to blend XD

  • 48 shadows

    x0x0

  • Very well explained! Thank you.

  • has anyone tried the MUFE diamond eyeshadows? i feel like some of them have a lot of fall out, beautiful colour but they do not go on as pigmented... just wondering, maybe im applying it wrong

  • hehe he winked!

  • Hi Wayne - Not sure how old your MUFE eyeshadows are, but the new ones are 1.78 gr. They've significantly lowered the amount of product but used the same tin (sort of shady).

  • A friend went to make up store and bought eyeshadows there. The eyeshadows are 3.5g and kost the same price as MAC. Are the eyeshadows from make up store a good deal to get? are they great?

  • Thanks for the review! Could you please compare this eyeshadows together with the Inglots ones...now that you had Inglot for a while, are you still happy with them?

  • have use a product called inglot

  • great video, i really liked it...!! i only have no. 92 from mufe and it kind of fades after a few hours and goes darker... i haven't had that problem with any mac eyeshadows, so i don't know... would you recommend mac orange or a mufe one as i'm looking for a matte orange eyeshadow?

  • Here in New York, you Make up forever Professional products including the brushes at Sephora west broadway location. I have the big fan brush & I love it.

  • Great info thanks for sharing!!

  • Can people in the US shop from MakeupProvisons?

  • Nice video thanks..just curious..how much is a pound in amer dollars?..Just trying to understand how much you spend vs us

  • @labretbear 1.00 GBP = 1.58629 USD

  • Great video!! Nice comparison. You've got me wanting to try MUFE matte shadows now.

  • Well, going to start to buy shimmer colors from MAC! =) But, like you, I love MUFE! =) Thanks for this review!

    xxx =)

  • Wayne, thank you so much for doing this video!

  • Great comparison! Thanks Wayne! Hugs, Summer :)

  • WHO'S not gonna put green blush on their face?! bah! i would! ;) xo

  • Good, fair review.

  • great review, Wayne! I do agree with you, that MUFE matte e/s are better than the MAC matte ones, in general... But I love both brands..I find it so strange that MUFE is so hard to buy in the UK, from what I hear from you and other people here on YT... Currently I live in India, and there is at least one big MUFE shop that I always go to, that carries brushes and all their products.. And I've lived in Vietnam, Syria, Egypt, Dubai... In all these countries, there was always a MUFE store.Weird! xx

  • Great video:)))) What can you say about pigments(Mac or MUFE)?

  • Thanks for mentioning that mufe eyeshadows pigmentation is better than Inglot's...i just came across Inglot and was debating about getting some of their palettes.

Keep up the great work! :)

  • can you do your fav. drugstore products? i'd love to know what kind of cheaper makeup you would recommend. although i use high-end, sometimes it's nice to spend a little bit less :(

  • Which is better, MUFE's matte black or MACs??

  • I always love your videos. I feel like I can actually believe what you say and I don't feel like you are just trying to sell us stuff.

  • subscribe to meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

  • I <3 Mac, that is my make up for ever!

  • VERY USEFUL, THANK YOU !!!

  • Both shadows are wonderful. Mufe rules when it comes to pigmentation of matte shades. Mac is wonderful in the array of finishes and the non-matte shades. I suggest people play with both brands. You can't lose.

  • Its insane! In Dublin there is an actual Make up forever shop & they have a counter in a department store but its basically impossible to get in the UK unless you live in London!

  • Your videos are great! Because of you I've been trying more MUFE products

  • Hi

What do you think of ELF makeup? I have bought a few of their products and it's very cheap.

  • MUFE e/s stain my eyelids .. im not a fan

  • @salembambi00 Do you use a base ?

  • So annoying that people give Wayne a hard time about his choice of makeup brand! So, he prefers MUFE to most brands.......so what! It's a good brand and he does great videos.

  • @lamiche19 I agree with you, its his choice. I feel he does like mac a lot but you probably get "more product" for your money.

  • ;)

  • Cheaper than MUFE is Sugar Pill which has vibrant colours (Plus a black and a white) in a matte finish. Love-makeup has Sugar Pill on sale right now. £7.99 a shadow. And no i don't work for either Sugar Pill or Love-Makeup ok?! I just bought some from them today that's all.

  • I think MUFE matte eyeshadows are the bomb. They're as easy to blend and as pigmented as MAC Matte2 eyeshadows.

  • I Just Love that Wink :) :L x

  • Thanks for the great info! I love how honest you are and your videos are awesome!

  • I think the makeup-provisions URL is misspelt. ;)

  • I totally aggree I love both brands, in your last video you were spot on about the Naked palette.

What you thought about the comparison with Urban Decay, Mac, MUFE?

  • I would LOVE a brush comparison between MAC, MUFE and INGLOT. That would be amazing. You could even throw in some Napoleon Perdis.

  • Your accent is unusual :P Its a mix between Cornish, Australian and a normal English accent. :)

  • Which eyeshadow brand do you find yourself reaching for more?

  • Very good Video! <3

  • Can you recommend a great cream blush please :)

  • Great review as always Wayne!

  • I've been dying for a room/home tour!

  • Thank You Wayne! It looks like I will be assembling a MUF eye palette. I am a Nars girl, but the shadows are so high and then I have all of these little compacts floating around. I do have some MAC Brushes and had just bought one depoted MAC blush in red (love the twenties look!) and a fluidline to give them a try. It looks like MUF shadows are the size of a MAC blush? The highest pigment wins with me every time and prefer more matte anyway. Lorac has good pigment, but they are small too. ty

  • CAN U COMPARE THEIR BRUSHES???????? :)

  • Mr. Wayne, I was wondering if you would be so kind and do a Valentines Day look. Pretty please <3

  • Awesome review!

  • Awesome review Hun!!! Where can I get a template like the one you have for the MUFE shadows names/number. Thx Hun!

  • could you compare inglot to make up for ever or/and mac please?

  • i love u <3

  • I actually heard Sugarpill Cosmetics make even more vibrant shadows than MUFE. Maybe you should check it out!

  • I thought MUFE #135, a light white pink, was very pigmented. Ihope you have that one! :]

And Wayne, I'm working on depotting and organizing various sizes of eyeshadows, and your tins that you showed looks perfect. I need a freeform palette. So those are MUFE tins correct? Seemed a little murky in the video. Thanks!

  • Amazing as usual! Did u get married? I see a wedding band. Congrats!

  • @missgirls83 he's not married, its just his lucky ring c:

  • You are so informative! Very helpful!

  • very helpful!

  • Where do you get a tin like that from?

  • really helpful thank you

  • Thanks for the video it really helped a lot, I'm starting to builed my own makeup collection and I wasn't really sure of what brand of eyeshadows to buy..

  • Agreed on all fronts! I find MAC's shimmer's to be pretty great and they really need to work on their matte colors...not just selection but I find I really have to work very hard and long to get the color pay off I want.....MUFE on the other hand has pretty amazing mattes but I agree they need a larger color selection on the lighter colors.

I recently have been looking at Nars and they have some pretty amazing colors with a huge amount of color payoff especially the shimmers!

  • I really love MUFE.... and I really love your mirror! =) where do you buy it?

  • Thanks for the review! Longer videos on the reviews are cool, you have so much info to give and we want to hear it all!

  • very informative, thnx!

  • i like my mac eyeshadows yes make up forever eyeshadows are bigger. but they are so hard to apply to the lid. and even with primer so hard to blend and if you wanna put another color on the side or what ever it falls of so easy and u have to keep applyin more. so i stay w my M.A.C. EYESHADOWS :)

  • I'm so over MAC. Don't get me wrong, I love some of their products but it is waaaay overrated. Makeup Forever is definitely better

  • mac is just cooler

  • How did you make that template in the MUFE tin with the circles, so you can type the names in?

  • i love both brands, but in terms of pigmentation and price, i would definitely recommend INGLOT. i've recently discovered their shadows, & each one is more beautiful than the next- they are incredibly pigmented & very reasonably priced.

  • i knew what your answer would be by the title but i still watched cause i LOVE YOUU :D

  • Thanks for being the YT Make Up Professor!

  • Thanx :)

  • im in love with you!!!!!

  • i could seriously watch you all day, you have taught me so much!

  • love the day time lighting.

  • FANTASTIC breakdown!

  • mac vs inglot?

  • Great Video ! ; )

  • MAC TESTS ON ANIMALS, I am almost 100% sure, and I am pretty sure Make up forever does it too. Dont let their statements blind you, most of the time they leave some "space" for testing. They are not on the leaping bunny site, and, I believe, not even on the peta site, so yes they do test. go to leaping bunny website its the most trustable in my opinion

  • Very sexy wink at the end of the video

  • I prefer the makeup forever ones, but here in Portugal they are really expensive!

  • I love MUFE shadows so much! But I've never owned even one MAC shadow. Every time I walk to a MAC counter with high hope and play with all the colors and oddly they just never speak to me...

  • I have looked on MUFE at their foundations what would you recommend as am pale with deep blue eyes. I know it a daft question but I cannot actually see the colours of the foundations. Is it a case of trial and error?

  • ur beautiful ^_^

  • I haven't been able to find MUFE pan shadows.

  • @txteacher27 I'm pretty sure the ones in the black compacts are the pans--you just remove them from the compact and put them in a palette. I could be wrong, though.

  • Where could we buy that wonderful empty palette here in the US? or a different website?

  • Do you like the MUFE brushes better? I'm tired of my Mac's shedding. Sorry if you answered this before.

  • I tend to like lighter shimmery eyeshadows, which is why I lean towards MAC. If i want a super pigmented shadows , I go for my MUFE

  • That was excellent information to build up my kit! Thank yew!!!

  • Thank you for a balanced review of MAC and MUFE eye shadows. It is so nice to see someone give an unbiased opinion. :)

  • What about in comparison to the Englot eyeshadow?

  • Do you use Nars shadows? I'd love to know your opinion on them :)

  • Hey everyone! I saw that big empty palette for sale at the gurumakeupemporium site that Wayne gave in the video notes, its £11.50 there. :)

I saw lots of people asking in the comments so I thought I'd mention this. xo Michele

  • Thanks for the review! It was very helpful

  • you look much less like a tomato today :S

  • @peppermintcat i answered this question before. i contacted MUFE and they stated they did not test on animals.

  • @gossmakeupartist i also contacted them but they never got back to me thanks for the info!! :)

  • @gossmakeupartist Yeah, companies always say that. You can contact a slaughterhouse and they'll all tell you they slaughter completely humane. But it's BS.

  • @jaud555 True. ANY company can say they don't test on animals. Who are going to walk through their labs and prove they don't?

  • @gossmakeupartist ACTUALLY, both brands have 3rd parties that test their ingredients on animals. They themselves do not test, but the companies that own them pay for testing. Such a bummer too, I love these brands. :(

  • @gossmakeupartist

thats good to know.... now I don't have to feel bad using MUFE.

  • @peppermintcat so? theres a lot of companies that test on animals. just because the test on animals doesn't mean people won't buy from them

  • @peppermintcat companies that don't test on animals include individual ingredients that have otherwise been individually tested in animals, just not by them... so there's nothing that hasn't been!

  • @peppermintcat

I keep reading they test on animals so I finally checked their website andit turns out they don't. For anyone who doesn't believe me:

"Following the example of Parfums Christian Dior, which announced

its decision publicly in 1989, LVMH does not conduct any animal testing on the products marketed by the different brands of the Perfumes and Cosmetics business group." lvmh.com/groupe/Donnee_env_2004_gbr. pdf page 5

  • @peppermintcat WRONG! Where on earth do people get their information from? Spreading this kind of stuff keeps people from making informed decisions and promoting cruelty free companies.

  • @peppermintcat They both do not directly test, but they buy their ingredients from companies that do..Either way you go your funding animal testing...

  • @misscanadianmakeup EXACTLY!! Thank you! it's so misleading.

  • @peppermintcat sorry darling, MAC does.

  • @peppermintcat And do some more research. Mac DOES test on animals.

  • You need to explore Urban Decay. Especially their matte shadows. The Naked palette is a good representation of the quality and pigmentation.

  • @Sheenablackcat He just did a review on it. :)

  • I don't like overly pigmented eyeshadows or blushes because I find them hard to work with. I prefer building up to the amount I like. I have never tried MUFE but I am addicted to Mac shadows.

  • I love the way he winks :)

  • like like like!!!

  • Thanks for your honest opinions!

  • MAC matte2 eyeshadows are nice to blend but the matte....BLAH ..hard to blend!

MAC is not investing in quality.. :0(

  • Thanks for sharing! Love you videos! ~Theresa ;)

  • youre so handsome!

  • I've only 3 MAC eyeshadows and I wanted to try them but I never use them because they are not pigmented enough (frost finishes)... Never tried MUFE (it isn't available in germany) but I love UD because they are so smooth and easy to blend.

  • @MissMerediana it is, on kultkosmetik

  • Hi wayneeeeee!!

  • I noticed how you have your eyeshadows directly next to each other in the palette. Do you have a problem with shadows spilling over into each other when you use them directly from the palette? Or any tips on how to avoid this. Thank you.

  • @luvmakeup123 To pick up the product, brush your brush in short strokes from the edge of the eyeshadow into the centre and be gentle. That way you're not like flicking it out into others. Try to pick up whatever excess lifts up by patting it, too, and use it.

  • Great video!

  • Thank you :)

  • Great!

  • Very helpful, I def know what to buy and where. Thank you very much!

  • brill review wayne! thanks xx

  • Where to buy the large empty palettes???

  • @sanfrancisco48 info box =)

  • Great review!!! Very helpful!!:)

  • thanks for the review

  • I never got any makeup forever anythin’, but I guess I’ll check their matt ones, I am looking to expand my collection, thank you for your lovely videos :)

  • Weird in Portugal we only have two MAC stores and Sephora stores with Make-up Forever everywhere .

  • I love Mac Dsquared matte but the regular matte is a pain in the neck mufe is great but stains like hell Thanks

  • where did u find the tin that holds the mac shadows?

  • another awesome product review. I always look forward to your videos!

  • I LOVE you wayne your amazing ! x

  • Brilliant thank u . :)

  • marvellous

  • Comment removed

  • Thank you!

  • OMG i feel like a total idiot now. I never got that MUFE stands for Make-Up For Ever .. haha :D always thought that was a brand on it's own :D and it always felt weird to me that I never heard of them D:D:

  • could you do some reviews on illamasqua products please?? :) x

  • Awesome.

  • Well...I have both of them as well,MAC and MUFE and i think that MAC is better... From what i've seen here in Israel(well we don't really have MUFE anymore but we used to!) MAC have a lot larger variety of eyeshadows...in both texture and shades. MAC have about what? 5 different textures and MUFE have 2?3?

And really, even as make up artist you don't need that huge amount of product... How often you get to the bottom of an eyeshadow? Not that often and mostly it's the popular "normal" colors.

  • thanks for the review! I'm totally gonna check out mufe's eyeshadows!

only have mac e/s and I gotta admit... some of them lack pigmentation! like carbon, for example. cant understand why people love it so much! I like urban decay e/s a lot better! anyhow, love the idea of the mufe palettes for mac e/s... please dont forget to put the link for us! :D

  • Great review!!! What do you think about NARS foundation and their colors? Never heard you are talking about this brand.

  • @leesaelee I agree. What do you think about NARS products? Even if you kinda obsessed with MUFE....:)
