Middle eastern slavery was far different than American slavery. It was more of an indentured servitude. You were a person with rights. You just had no money. Not even close to Americas version of slavery.
And when Africans sold slaves to America, they had that same understanding of slavery, as indentured servitude. Eventually, the slave ships began forcefully taking both slaves and freed Africans against their will. Kings and queens in Africa were taken as slaves.
If we are all connected through God if Christian then Why are there Churches with mostly if not all White people Black Churches with mostly Black People and why are there Chinese Churches where the minister and choir and most of if not all the congregation Chinese people.

Whoever was playing the synth choir part obviously wasn't listening during his "pentatonic" scale speech, and instead reverted to Lydian. Gotta love that raised fourth, but I doubt music modes were taught on slave ships. The pentatonic is ingrained in all of us, black, white, whatever color/culture, likely because of the overtone series. Somebody else must be responsible for my well-being, and somebody else must be to blame if I am hurt. Is it a similar infantilism that really lies behind the 'need' for a God?

@jerak984 the reason why every human being needs God is because God created him and only God can keep that human working properly and repairing him when he breaks himself. It's as simple as that and there is nothing infantile about it. The more the human denies this truth the more broken and erroneous he gets.

@jerak984 I just said it's all about Jesus, not religion. Jesus is not religion. He said "I am the way, the truth and the life. No man comes to the father, but by me".(John 14:6) He didn't say that religion is the way, the truth and the life no man comes to the father but by religion. This is what Christianity is about is Jesus, not religion.

@musical83 That's your opinion that a god created humans...it's cetainly not based on fact...unless you want to believe in a book with talking snakes, supporting of slavery and other nonsense is actually believable. Infact, there is more evidence (fossil records, DNA..etc) to suggest that humans (like every other animal) evolved over time. That makes logical sense and more importantly, there's factual evidence to back it up. If you claim a god create us you need to answer who created the god.

How about you try to disprove the Bible then. I'd rather put my faith in what you call "nonsense" then to believe that something came from nothing. That sounds alot more ridiculous to me. No one can "create" God. God is not bound by time, which is a human concept. God is not within the fabric of time, which is why he is Omnipresent. He exists at all times. Fossil Records are proven to be non-factual because the Carbon dating system is flawed. Research man, research...

Do you have any evidence suggesting that your god (or any of the 3,000 + gods) known to mankind are omnipresent and do not require a creator or are just s'posed to take your word for it cuz you're willing to put your "faith" on it?

That's what "Faith" is. The same way you believe in nothing and trust that a phenomenon of chaotic unobservable mutations brought forth order and humanity. You are taking something figurative as fact, though i do enjoy the taste of blood (my own at least). And slavery got shit done, so yes i do support a book that supports slavery.

@D1vid3By0 What about the talking snakes or mistreatment of women and killing/maming of innocent children in the bible. If you can justify all the B.S in that book then more power to you.
As far what I believe in, there plenty..I believe in myself, life, liberty, hard work, taking care of family, equal pay for a equal day's work, justice, equality....the list goes on and on.
So your "belief in nothing" argument holds no water. I simply choose not to accept illogical stories as evidence.
