Sorry to disappoint everyone but Adele was seen smoking at a party after last week's Grammy's, and while she was in Florida last month, and in London she was seen puffing away in the back of a car, not sure exactly when. Maybe she cut back but she still smokes, at least occasionally.

I have sang for 14 years, and for the first ten, was a heavy smoker. Since the smoking ban in UK, I noticed that giving up cigarettes plus the clubs being smoke free, changed my voice. Although slightly different in tone, my lung capacity exceeded anything I had been used to in the past. I could fit an extra half dozen words into a line in the song before having to use my breath again. It changed my style slightly too as the order of breaks changed with slightly different timing. @TheCowgirlVanessa No. she quit smoking a while back now, after she got laryngitis at the start of the year or something. She has recently had surgery though, but that was because she had bleeding on her vocal chords or something, nothing to do with smoking, more to do with talking ;)
