Awesome job! I have learned 4 letters and five sounds and two vowels in the first night. Less then one hour of instruction and I can read and write a few of the letters I thought I would never understand. YHWH bless you teacher. Amen.
Love your work! Lessons are informative and take the right pace for any person starting to learn Hebrew. Your Hebrew might be a bit "American", just like most of Hebrew in Israel is a bit "Russian", "Hungarian", "Germanic"... Some people swallow : (/e/), some pronounce it... No one should be discouraged because of it, just the opposite! Approach taken here is better than anything I have seen or heard up till now. Bravo and toda raba! :)
OMG its veru very easy for me, d'you know why, coz I know Arabic reading,, though I'm not arab but a Muslim,, Masha Allah i'm gonna learn it..thanks my frined you explained very easly, you gonna be my teacher from now on.. insha allah,,
The pronunciation of the uploader is very misleading. The letter בּ is not pronounced as "bait", but rather as the "bet" part of "alphabet". There are also other pronunciation errors. Perhaps native Hebrew uploaders' videos should be consulted as well or instead.
My suggestion is to watch all the videos detailing every letter and basic vowel rules of the Hebrew language by a native Israeli on the YouTube channel titled BKHebrew.
@TheStalkerVan It is beyt. ב is always written like this. The dot appears only if the text shows its vowels. You just have to get use to the word to know exactly how to say it. same thing with כ.
@Lishkafe ; my case I learned only Ancient Hebrew, i was raised frum , annd I was tought Bet and Veit. .... until now I am looking into modern hebrew.
@shaharmos Dear I guess u got it worng, I mean that I understand why will Hebrew seem dificult to someone, and Torah is far from "more literary" Torah has 4 or more depths of understandings Pardes, sod, etc. Toda!
I think hebrew and arabic (since they're kinda similar) should just merge into one beastly joint language. Communication in israel/palestine would be so much easier and who knows...maybe it would bring peace?
as a hebrew speaker I have no idea where you brought it from.
there is a different pronunciation of the letter Bet - with the dot (sound like B) and withought the dot (sound like V). but you in no such way can claim there is a letter Veit - thats absurd and misleading.
I can see your point. It's not two letters. There are some sources that use the two names to give the sound of the letter, like the alphabet song you are probably familiar with.
In the video I say "The Beyt is one of the letters that has two forms" and then go on to explain the two sounds. Perhaps you didn't get to this part about 2 minute in.
@bnaiorpueblo I am new to your lessons but did hear you state that the Beyt is one letter with two forms....and have it is my notes....Your lessons are such a blessings to us that desire to learn Hebrew I pray you will continue sharing so we can continue to learn.

@shkupipunk Also, your comment is funny considering the fact that you've surely never met anybody outside your own country or ethnicity to pass that sort of judgment. Sad, sad, sad.
@shkupipunk Phoenician and Hebrew are the most ancient of all written languages, aside from Sumerian cuneiform. Which is possibly older. The Hebrews were writing books when your people were still cave men. Not much has changed considering how ignorant and closed minded your comment was. Try going to college and taking an anthropology or history course before spouting forth such ignorance.
Always been interested how come that when I have learned Hebrew we learned alef, bet, vet rather than aleph, beyt, veyt can anyone tell me why? Or is it just an American thing? Very interesting. Thanks
i m a bangladeshi citizen and holding a bangladeshi passport which dont allow me to travel israel but i m a incredible fan of israel and big supporter of everything israel stand for.i would love to see this country but i dont how it would be possible.but currently i m in poland and i have been living here since 5 years.i m here looking forward for any advice from any immigration expert that how can i as a bangladeshi citizen visit israel ?
If you live in Poland for 5 or more years you can try to get Polish citizenship (if you have Polish husband/wife it's possible to get after 3yrs)
So you live here long enough to get it, but I'm not sure what's going to happen with your bangladeshi citizenship- I mean if it's possible to keep it in that situation. If you'd have to choose just one citzenship, i'n not sure if it's good solution but you can look for more info on our MSZ site- msz.gov.pl and here: polish-citizenship.eu/

@killerpopmachine the actual prob with bangladeshi passport is it dont allow the person to travel isreal. the truth of the matter is inside of this book there is clearly mention that every country except israel. and evenif u travel isreal with this passport and if bangladeshi authority find it out than u may can be bar from entering Bangladesh and ur entire family living in bangladesh would be in danger. i dont think so its really somehow possible for a Bangladeshi citizen to traveling isreal

yoo this is exactly wat i needed! at tha beginnin i was like waaaaaaaaaaaaaT? say wat? lol but now i understand much better nd dont even have tu watch tha vid twice =D thnx a lot!
wow, this video is the BEST i've seen so far to start learning hebrew! I already know 4 languages, but thanks to people like bnaiorpueblo, i'm closer to my 5th language :)
hahaha I was taught Hebrew as a kid and I can read it a little, but I never realized that I never actually learned then names of the vowel symbols, I just call them "the t thing", "the two dots", "the three dots" etc.
Someone explain how to use these ones? ס(samech) or ש(shin, sin) א (alpeh) or ע (ajin) Why does one word uses -א- (ADAM for exmple) and another uses -ע - (for exmaple AWODA). The same with S.
I dont get the difference, the sound is the same. PLEASE SOMEONE HELP!
@MrPopular22 Hi the Letter א in today talking is realy sound like ע
but in the ancient talking it was sound diffrent like the ع in arabic
so the letter is still exist but now it's harder to no spelling mistakes
about the ש there is 2 kinds - 1 with a point in the right up corner and 1 in the left 1 , the 1 with point in left side is sound like ס , and the ש with the point in the right corner sound like the "sch" in german or " ش" in arabic

hahaha I was taught Hebrew as a kid and I can read it a little, but I never realized that I never actually learned then names of the vowel symbols, I just call them "the t thing", "the two dots", "the three dots" etc.

MrPopular22 2 years ago
@MrPopular22...well, there's no logic in it,you simply have to learn and memorize the vocabulary..

Perhaps gender?
BlueMoonz55 2 years ago
@MrPopular22 There are no rules about it.
You just need to remember when to use each letter.
It's like F and PH in English, there are no rules.

Enjoy!

@SecretKingdomCompany to see how it's ع sound - just google it .... try wikipedia
