I'm just gonna say this...Maria and Rosa have their bad sides (Rosa: is abusive, hurts Maria...a lot; Maria is disturbing, tortured a dream version of mother nearly 1000 time knowingly/willingly), but they have their good sides as well. And they DO love each other--that true, no denying.
@Naruluver101 the shion + saako hug? might be that while shion treats satako hard in the beginning (like how she blames her for satoshi leaving) she begins to like her so much as protect her. so it could be a parallel. then again it could always just be that the guy who makes both has no shame for reusing themes :P
@Naruluver101 lol the guy actually has lots of higurashi moments. i just found out recently that the shcool ange goes 2 was the one shion was sent to and escaped from. also that the guy ange talks to okonogi, is the same okonogi who ran the yamainu w/ takano.who knew eh? :P
@digitalpiggy193 Well it's not that Shion starts liking Satoko that much out of nowhere. She just remembered that Satoshi asked her to look after Satoko, and thus she does.
Looking after satoko made Shion like a sister to her(satoko) and that's why satoko calls her nee-nee
@Horde1Blades actually its hitned rosa may not be as bad as she seems. like that some things are in maria's PoV.. which may be exaggerated. im still anti-rosa... but its bene hitned that rosa's childhood was like maria's except she never got presents, never cried (for fear of a worse punishment) and was teased constantly by siblings.
not that that justifies it, but yeah apparently rosa may be nicer than we thought :P. and in some select scenes rosa acknowledges her mistakes.

I'm sorry if this offends you, but if you recall, the first time they showed in the anime that Rosa slapped her daughter, she first politely ASKED Maria to stop makking the "uuu, uuuu" sound. Maria did not do as her mother told her. Therefore she was punished. In other scenes Maria knows that her mother will become "The bad witch" (AKA when Rosa is angry) so why did she continue aggrevating Rosa when she knew what would happen? SO therfore I assume that YOU are the stupid one.
Do you have proof she did? Or are you just an immature child that shouldn't be even watching Umineko that responded in such a way because you were proven wrong?
