  • I was only 12 when she died.

But she´s still my housegodess. R.I.P. Janis

  • The pain doesn't go away, it becomes a tool for the art.

  • i had gone to a concert, 1968, stoned and ecstatic. janis was my hero. so at the end of the show,to my dismay my fringe swede jacket was missing. i searched every row of seats with the help of my newest girlfriend Janis Joplin. really, she walked over to me and offered to help find the jacket. unfortunately to no avail. even in the days of "hippies" there were dirtbags. i'll never forget that night

  • @sunshinenblues Wow.. In reading just about everything about Janis, what really stands out was so humble she was and how much she wanted to be liked by people. Not surprising she helped you out.. Cool that you got to meet her..

  • ONE OF A KIND ,BEAUTIFUL SOUL" WHO GAVE TOO THE WORLD! AND WILL ALWAYS! LIVE WITH HER MUSIC!! GONE NOT FORGOTTEN! R.I.P.JANIS FLY WITH THE ANGELS ...

  • I met and talked with Janis for a few minutes in June 1969 at a convenience store near Big Sur in June of 1969. She was such a sweet and nice person. I was surprised at how small she was. She had run her Porche off the road. She left with some older hippie that she apparently new in his pickup. As the drove off she rolled down her window and said "Keep on truckin' boys". I will never forget those few minutes.

  • @stumblebiscuit99 Thats a great fucking story. To meet such a legend!

  • Thanks man; I remember those days so well and loved her with Big Brother. I was in Frisco in '69 when I discovered her music on record. I had no idea at the time that she may have been hangin around the corner somewhere. bbbbbbbbboB

  • @bobhedstrom That must have been an amazing place and time.. My generation never really had an equivalent. Thanks for listening in here.. It is appreciated..

  • People do not realize that Janis was actually an angel sent down here and when she was finished testifying she went back home.

  • She was not ugly at all, people are so cruel.

  • cool lady from my hometown.

  • Janis reminds me of Aaliyah with her girl/boyish swagger and I think that's cool and unique.

  • R.I P....Janis..

  • To me she was cute, especially before she started doing drugs.

  • Janis was great fun and showed her pain to all of her listeners and lots of us understood.RIP Janis
