The war in Iraq has been won. Saddam was removed and the current Iraq government has officially taken over operations. That is a victory! Regaurds to Afghanistan we know what has to be done but the soldiers hands are tied by the polotics are nations leaders enforce. We lost initiative in Afghanistan back in 2003 when we invaded Iraq. When we lost the initiative Osama was able to escape. It was about bringing the one man to justice. We know where he is but we cant get him.

Obama will listen to his military advisors. However, the military will always recommend war or escalation of a war, that's all they know. It's like asking a barber if you need a haircut. Also, there were no terrorists in Iraq until Bush invaded that country. The terrorists were camped in Iran, Afghanistan & Pakistan.

Obama campaigned on the promise that he would reduce the number of troops in Iraq (he did), and redeploy those troops to Afghanistan (he did). Bush didn't have a goal, war strategy, or exit plan when he made his "quick decision" to start these wars. As a result, we are involved in 2 civil wars, but have no objectives that will determine when they will be over. Unless we nuke everyone in Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan & Pakistan, Al Qaeda will always exist. I don't think nuking is a good idea, do you?
