Dangerous chow chow attacks and kills family members ... WITH CUTENESS.
Attempts by authorities to ascertain the exact number of casualties has just resulted in more deaths. Police are currently planning on how to keep the rogue chow chow from going postal in town without endangering themselves. More to follow.
I have a chow chow. She is all black and looks like a little black bear. They are great dogs but you need to socialize and train them. You also have to pick up the hair as a full time job :) But that comes with LOVE
My question is: What if a chow chow were to bite someone? The chow probably felt like her territory was being threaten. I have more information just message me if someone understands the concept.
If you dont treat chow chows well nor give them attention, or beat him, or if you leave them chained outside all the time they may become dangerous as any other dog may. But Chow Chows are strong, persistent and very territorial, thats why they may be dangerous.
They are dangerous though. My friend gave a lot of afffection to her chow chow and pratically raised her as a member of the family than a pet. Her dog is very loving to her owner but whenever I visit or any other friends/strangers, her dog literally goes on a raging-barking rampage! Chow chow females tend to be more over-protective and aggressive. Oh and the dog is also mixed with german sheperd!!!
They don't only have to be raised as a family member, they must know they're not the "King in the house", they must know that they are not a person. If this is thought since they're babies and if they are accustomed to interact with strange people and animals, there is no danger whatsoever. However, they are always a bit unreceptive to strangers in they're house. In addition, you should always train your pet with no violence, but with positive reinforcement.
It was an accident. The dog didnt mean to bite this person. Well, I quite honestly do not know if she ment to bite that person or not. The thing is, that person sneeked up behind the dog and startled her. Maybe it was an act of self-defense. Im sure the owner is now taking full-precaution nowadays.
I love chows, they are funny and so loving to their family and very protective. You and your chow are both blessed with each other. Congratulations for having such a beautiful baby.
I was raised with Chow Chows so I always thought of myself as a "dog lover" Turns out I really don't care for dogs. Chow Chows are a completely different breed of animal. I love my Chow Chow!!
I had two chow chows. First was Sadie Ebony Joyce, a black female. A year later came Rusty Bear, a red male. They were never aggressive to the point of attacking a person for no reason, but they'd let you know if someone was coming. In 2001, Sadie had 5 beautiful puppies. We kept the cream puppy, Maggie. We took Maggie to meet a bunch of strangers and someone told some kids, "Don't touch that dog! That's a chow chow, it'll bite you!" At 3 months old, she's not going to rip off an arm.
@shihchincheng if you want to get your chow a sister check out Central New York Chow Rescue they have vids on here and have all ages (even puppies) of purebreds that need loving homes.
@redwine12roses because you do not mess with one of those! this is serious dog, especially female ones - so be careful do not approach one of this dogs, they are not intend for play. BTW - do not approach ANY dog you are not familiar to. Chow is loyal to it's owner ONLY, but even it's owner can not beat them - they are fearless and will bite anyone, who is aggressive towards them.
@varnahelloyall that's a bunch of bullshit. chows chows are the sweetest dogs ever! our chow chow is the nicest and just like any other dog, it will be cautious to strangers approaching the house and family. our chow chow loves our newborn son and is never aggresive and never bit anyone or shown signs of it. those who diss chow chows know nothing about them at all
LOL! Me and my cousin played with a chow chow at my sisters puppy work place... It started to bite us! ;D Ughh, And it happend 2 days ago, i wasnt wearing pants that day! D: So I have bite marks and i bleed but it stopped (: If you think I'm hating on chow chows, your the asshole :P
Chows are magic, we wouldn't have any other breed. Brilliant with children, loyal, clean and very loving. We have had six up to now, latest one is a cream dog, Chopan Cream Fudge, aka "Simon". I've put some vids of him on Youtube, do a search for Chopan Cream Fudge if you'd like to see them.
@icefaxi This is also because some assholes train them to be violent to guard and even for dog fights. So they have gotten a bad rep. If you properly socialize a chow chow they are the best friends you can have.
I had a Chow as a kid, and two more as an adult. My first one was as sweet as can be. The second one was a "rat faced fink" (aggressive) but the third was, again, as sweet as can be. As a "three-timer", I LOVE the breed but they are by nature an aggressive breed. Most, not all, can be trained and socialized to be friendly. The ones who don't "respond" to training can be very nasty. They also have one of the strongest bites (pounds per square inch) in the dog world. Just trying to be honest.
@acsteitz your second puppy could have been harmed in some way as a puppy they are very smart and unlike other breeds don't seem to forget a bad deed. My girl and boy are as wonderful as they come with no effort on my part the only thing I have done is not mess with success and treat them as I would want to be treated.
@blueguy81 they are very very aggressive dogs and are very protective, but they are also very smart and great dogs and i love them myself, my freind has one and everytime someone throws a punch at him his chow will go nuts on them haha there amazing dogs but are by far the most aggressive dog out there and they have no fear
@hihosilver666 thanks! i wanna keep this comment here to show what i am talking about when I say 'because everyone else are assholes'. If anyone ever calls a chow chow aggressive, they are stupid and probably watch FOX News
chows are more aggresive by nature than a lot of other dogs, they can be raised to be good but their aggressive behavior can easily come alive under certain circumstances. I have seen it, thank you
@hihosilver666 His comment may be exaggerated, but I wouldn't describe it as untrue. I've grown up around dogs, and have had chows for nearly 18 of those years. Whilst they're very loving and trusting to their carers, they are certainly more territorial than many dogs. The Chinese used them as guard dogs since time immemorial. If they are trained right then you should never have any problems; however, even the best training can't change their nature - responsible vigilance is the way forward.
@jamesrobtonyadams ok, I concede the point that they may be more territorial. I have 2 chows now, and my partner has had them in her family since she was 8, only once was aggression a problem and that was down to bad breeding and that particular dog had to be put down. But as for the "underlying aggresive behaviour" I don't se it.
@LPitzAw3som3 haha i know they are sweet, i love my chow chow. its just before we were getting one we did a lot of research and heard nothing about them being so aggresive, violent, and horrible with kids. so this video is trying to change that perspective people have about these beautiful animals. ;) no one googles "adorable chow chows", its SEO strategy man ;)
@icefaxi I do I do adorable chow chows I love them!!!! I wanted one ever sense my brother bought a toy chow chow for me and told me there was dogs that looked just like my toy! I finally got myself a gorgeous black chow girl and added a wonderful cream chow boy to keep her company and they had five cute as all can be puppies and all I can say it was one of the best things I have ever done for myself is bringing them into my life.

you should change the title on your video, cuz chow chow is actually a very very sweet dog. They will not attack people if you train them very well.
Unless you are just one of those people who is trying to get attention by giving false information to the public.
