I've been thinking about atomizers for smoke and blood spray effects. Are you familiar? Mouth atomizers are old school spray paint. You use a tube with flowing air to blow across the top of a vertical tube filled with liquid. The blowing air carries liquid out of the tube, and it sprays in a fine mist. It may also be possible to take the misting heads off of spray bottles and force liquid through tubes at pressure to create a high velocity bullet-type spray.
