For anyone who is looking to better understand the gospel and salvation, the website listed on my channel (the scribd page) has a couple of very informative, short reads that make it clear as day. Have a blessed day. =)
This song is simply beautiful. There is no need to argue about anything, this song, it doesn't really matter if you're a Christian or not to see that this band has an incredible talent and are wonderful writers. So stop arguing, because this is so good.
does it really matter what each of thinks of the other? what matters most is what Jesus thinks of whats in your heart? We are His, lets act like it! You can call yourself anything you want but if yo dont have a personal relationship with God, NOTHING ELSE MATTERS!
@typoe99. not to be rude, but I don't know a catholic who is a christian. Im sure there may be some but not any who still hold to the regular catholic faith. And it was not the first actual branch of christianity. ya see the catholic church was mostly comprised of a group of people who abided more along the lines of tradition. Christianity is not about tradition, its about a relationship with Jesus christ ( not religon).
@13pianogirl . you are mistaken the Christian faith is split into 3 branches Catholic, Orthodox, and Protestant. What you are thinking of is the Protestant branch of Christianity which from what you I can gather you are part of and I am as well. The mistake that a lot of Protestants make is that only they are Christians and Catholics are not nor are Orthodox but this is not true this is a tree of Christianity. Go onto google and search Christianity Tree. it will show you how the faith spreads
@typoe99 I think what @13pianogirl is trying to say is that biblicaly speaking Catholics are not Christians. Different salvation doctrine then the bible, unbiblical traditions etc.
just recently have been deeply influenced by this song...you make everything glorious and i am yours, what does that make me? wow...leaves me nearly speechless every time.
Jesus Christ is THE antidote to low self-esteem! The price He paid for us surpasses all things! He has made those who were unworthy lovely and acceptable in His sight. Praise and glory be to God!
hey thanks for praying...i'm doing a lot better now...long fight but it is well worth it...many of my friends are getting past their challenges as well
He sure does make everything glorious....but sometimes it feels like we are getting nowhere....would someone mind praying for me...the pain of this world and schoolwork are bogging me down and challenging my faith...
hold on to God's Glory in these tough times ahead..the form of God as Jesus Christ our loving redeemer. love and truth is revealed daily to us and we still only begin to scratch the surface..to know the height, depth and width of Him
put it this way....GOD is GLORIOUS....the Bible says that God said "before you were born I knew you"...in other words he has your life planned all out,he made you special, and he loved you even before you were born...WoW...now thats awesome....thats why there is so much sadness to day cuz ppl arent where God intended them to be but where they chose to be and its unfulfilling...Give your heart to the Lord, repent of what things u use to do,and live for Him...and you will know that He is glorious
"But the Christian thinks any good he does comes from the Christ-life inside him. He does not think God will love us because we are good, but that God will make us good because He loves us; just as the roof of a greenhouse does not attract the sun because it is bright, but becomes bright because the sun shines on it."
C.S. Lewis *a great thought on good works and God.
Let's find common grond. We are all stranded on this 'rock' and there is no way off. Only through Him can we be saved. Kinda like the Chevy vs Ford argument. One thing they will both get you there if they are runnin right?
Thank you so much for posting this video. I've had this version of the song on CD for awhile but have never been able to find if there was even a live video recording of it. God bless you!!!
Woah! I wasn't expecting to start a whole big discussion, but damn! I just wanted to thank you all for your kind words. I don't think I'll be converting back any time soon (at least not in the next few years), there's just too much I disagree with that they teach right now. But we won't get into that. Thanks again for the kindness.
invadercheeze, I agree with the comments. I was raised catholic, forced to go to church, but nothing touched me. I pushed it all away for many years...It wasn't until I was drowning in such darkness that I asked a friend to tell me about God one night. I had no idea Who He was. That night I turned to Him... I now go to Christ Fellowship-non denominational. I belong to the Lord and have a close, loving relationship with my Heavenly Father, my Abba (Daddy). Keep seeking Him- He loves you so much!
That is awesome. my story is like ur's. i was raised in a Christian school all my life and i didn't see God that much cause it was forced on us, but when i came to college at NSU me and my bros and girl bros (lol) started a Bible study and I am active in the BCM and I have never been closer to God even when I was in a Christian school where it was burried in me and i got to say that even though they are great that Christian schools shouldn't burry the Bible in their students. thats my story.
Hey, Darras24, I can relate. I didn't go to a catholic school. For that I'm SO grateful-heard too many horror stories about them. I'm thankful that I turned to the Lord when I did and that He was there. Even though I found Him being already grown, and at times feel like there were so many years wasted, the Lord put the right person in my life to tell me about Himself and that He wanted a personal relationship with me. I'm so blessed to have my Heavenly Father. I wouldn't be here without Him. : )
It wasn't a Catholic school it was a Baptist school. but besides that. i know what you're talking bout. PRAISE BE TO HIM. and plus i don't think that all Christian schools are all bad it's just the bad one's that everyone heares bout.
Darras24, you ain't kidding, lol! All I ever heard were the horror stories about those catholic schools. I don't think I ever recall a positive one-that's sad, but it does say a lot about how things need to change in people's approach to teaching about the Lord in those schools-not all, just so I'm not generalizing, but I'm sure in many of them. Yes indeed, PRAISES BE to our Mighty Heavenly Father Who saved us and will take us up to glory with Him one day soon. God bless you! : )
I'm an athiest, but I'll admit: this song is great! It's different than all of the other catholic music I've heard (and I've heard a lot; i went to a catholic high school).
invadercheeze, Christian contemporary music is very different from hymns...it's for the newer generation. I have friends who grew up in traditional Catholic churches and are now atheists/agnostics. Nothing against Catholicism, but you should consider attending another church...it may change your perspective. God is real and I'd suggest looking for a place which you feel Him most. Disregard any skepticism or "logical thinking" you may have, He is real and He loves you.
Invadercheeze, don't know if you'll check back on this, but that's cool that you like this. One other band you might like with similar music is the Robbie Seay Band.
I went to Catholic schools too -- i totally understand how you feel.. I used to not want to be Catholic and used to doubt everything -- but around junior/senior yr i realized it was the Catholic Church that was my home. Some people forget that Catholics are Christian too -- haha -- we are! If you or anyone has questions or doubts about the Catholic Church -- dont be afraid to ask and research. You might be surprised at what you find!
Actually...the Roman Cath. Church preaches a different Gospel than the one found in the NT. This does not mean you are not a Christian, because perhaps you have trusted in Christ alone for your salvation, but the C.C. teaches that justification is a process which involves works, or what a person does. We are justified by the blood of Christ. Saved not by works. The C.C. teaches a false Gospel, and according to Galatians 1:6-9, that is not a good thing.
that is wrong, get your facts straight before you bash catholics. we believe that the blood of christ washes away our sins and that is what sets us free and allows us to enter into the kingdom of heaven, however we also aknowledge that your works are important, which is in the gospels, especially matthew. i do not want to be rude, i am just fed up with other christians attacking catholics i went to a christians music festival recently and we are treated like lepers especially by pentecostals
Well, not to be rude, Christians are also "bashed" by Catholics. I'm not saying either side is right or wrong, but I have seen individuals on either side who have done wrong things in the name of Christ. The point I am trying to get across is it doesn't matter who is right or wrong, because we all were, and still are imperfect in the eyes of are Lord, but we were washed clean by his blood, and shouldn't be arguing over petty differences with those who are our brothers
I totally agree, I have nothing against other Christians, you are absolutely correct, its just like I said I went to a Christian music festival recently and we were persecuted and a pentecostal christian told us we are going to hell, even tho we believe in Jesus. Its just that the ignorance of some has gotten me frustrated recently because they are telling christians to reach out to the muslim world as brothers and sisters, and at the same time they attack their brothers in Christ. I apologizw
@Bunker191990 It has little, if anything to do with the song. Most comments, especially on Christian songs, seem to turn into a battleground for opinions, and you put out a very good point. Songs should not become catalysts for angry discussion, but something to give us hapiness. Music is an expression of emotion. Those who play instruments like me should know what I'm talking about. =)
@JohnHaloWarrior95 Um... I don't know what Bible you are reading, but we are fearfully and wonderfully made, and we are all perfect in the eyes of the one who made us. He made us in His own beautiful and perfect image. Yes, we were washed clean by His, but that's because we are perfect and worthy to be saved in His eyes.
@akross0890 I know, I worded my response wrong(oops) , but that's what happens when you try to respond to youtube comments at ten o' clock at night when your literally "falling" asleep! =) What I meant was that we aren't actually perfect, but we are in His eyes, and that we shouldn't be going around bashing and persecuting other people, but spreading His perfect love to the unloved!
@akross0890 We are perfect and worthy to be saved? What Bible are you reading? We are so filthy, dirty, and unworthy of salvation but because of God's deep love for mankind He sent his Son to die for our sins. The cross shows how unworthy human beings are that somebody had to die to take away our sins because we are so sinful. If we were prefect and worthy, then we wouldn't need a savior.
@buckeyepride21 We who believe in Jesus Christ and his redemption shouldn't really argue with each other. The technicalities and minor details don't truly matter except to those who always want to be right, which I admit I used to be, but I am no longer. Everyone will try to bring other beliefs under fire, and that is just plain wrong.
@JohnHaloWarrior95 I'm not trying to argue with people but somebody who says "that we are perfect and worthy to be saved" is truly concerning to me. If you say that, then you don't understand the cross and if you don't understand the cross, then you're not a Christian. If we are perfect, then no need for Christ. So, while I'm not here to argue with people, I am concerned about those who, by their words, appear to be lost.
@buckeyepride21 I didn't say that we are perfect. I said that since he has washed us ckean with his blood he says in his Word that we are as pure white as snow in HIS EYES. Although we still are imperfect, he accepts us as long as we strive to do the best we can because HE paid the price in the cross. As I mentioned earlier, I do not want to get into a technicality argument on the comments page of a wonderful song meant to praise the King of Kings, the Almighty.
@JohnHaloWarrior95 I said, "in His eyes." He wouldn't have sent His son if he didn't love us and think of us as perfect and worthy to be saved. IN HIS EYES.
Not to point out too much, but one technicality is that Catholics are, themselves, Christians.
I've got a bit of an issue saying it "doesn't matter" who's right or wrong, but I can agree with the rest and the overall message of what you're saying.
@KWolfe318 In a sense, your right, but what I mean is that not everyone in the Catholic faith believes in Jesus as our savior. But this is no place to have a religion/spirituality discussion. What I mean is that we have no real way of discarding personal bias to root through every specific dusty tradition and rule to compare who is truly right, and as long as we believe in God, and in Jesus, we know that we, ourselves are saved. Arguing over who's veiwpoint is right is stupid.
inadercheeze i totally understand what you mean grew up a catholic bro used to fall asleep in church. Denounced religion til i was about 22. Starting listening to a band called Thousand Foot Krutch without knowing that they were a Christian band check them out. I know how you feel though bro glad to hear that you like this though means that God is working at your heart i do agree that you try a christian church or a nondenominational church. Email through this is you have questions though.
I went to a Catholic school for 9 years and a lot of my friends became atheists and agnostics when they had the chance to make that choice. I'll admit I was in the same boat as them for a while. Somehow God found a way to reach me though--partly through music. I'd love talk about with you if you care to listen.

Hey, I also wanted to say that I will be praying for you bro. I'm glad that you are interested in Christian music, because when i was straying away from God with the music that i listened to i wasn't myself and with the help of bands like DCB, and the love of my friends i am closer to God and i am estatic that even though you are an athiest you are interested in an awesome song like this I'll be praying that you see God, bro. Peace. :)

Fighting over religion is silly.
God made us all different; For those of us who choose to believe, we will lead great lives and we will be in His kingdom someday!
For those who don't wish to believe, that is their choice and religion should not be shoved down anyone's throat.
Patience is rewarding.

@JohnHaloWarrior95

Peace. :)
