All right check this. I was playing agianst the lakers (I was Celtics) And it was tie 89-89. 11 seconds left ,Kobe hits a 3 (ass). Then I inbound the ball and shoot a quick shot for three and make it with Pierce. 5 seconds bynum inbounds it, but i got the full court press on, davis deflects it so it bounces of Davis's hand hits bynum in the head(before he leaves the out of bounds area )and it goes out of bounds, so out of bounds on lakers, celtics ball.

Thats just stupid. If you only have 5 seconds left and the opponent is up by two, and you are using a great shooter like Allen, then you should wait until the last second to take the shot, because you don't always get the offensive rebound. And if you don't then you are screwed and you lose the game.

Usually, the team on offense don't get much OFF Rebs. You obviously don't watch the basketball if you're saying you should shoot and try to get the rebound. With only 5s left to play, teams usually wait until the last moment, so that they can find a better shot or make sure the other team doesn't have a chance. And what if the ball goes in early, and the opponent calls time and they shoot a buzzer?
