AZEL: PANZER DRAGOON RPG - Ending and Results

What I don't get about this ending and I haven't played this game either is what happened at the end of this game is what I don't get? Because I've played Panzer Dragoon Orta and tried seeing this but coudln't get an answer or understanding to what happened at all :P

@Sharidaken don't play orta at all. it ha snothing to do with original intended story. the story ends at saga. play zwei and panzer dragoon 1 on saturn to really understand this story as it's incredibly deep and complex but also the best story I've ever seen anywhere. also check panzerdragoon do t net for many theories about the story and ending

to me games like Final Fantasy and Panzer Dragoon are just master pieces that needs to be respected and not milked for all it's worth (sadly Final Fantasy became the cash cow for SE)

@iGaita that's not a fault. it shouldn't be hard as it detracts from the purpose of the game. playing through a long movie or visual interactive novel with the old shooter elements. if you kept on dieing it wouldn't turned people of or detracted from following the story

I want to play this so bad sense ive played both panzer dragoon 1,2, and Orta but i somehow missed this as a kid and now it costs 300 bucks to play. The game just seems haunting it must be the aged graphics or something.

I remember completing this after playing for a long time, and I managed to get 100% of the field map and ALMOST 100% of the game's enemies found. It took quite a while.

A brilliant game. Still my favourite, even after all these years - luckilly I had the presence of mind to keep it, and my Saturn. I regret not getting the Saturn 'switched' so it could play with better quality graphics and at 60Hz. Hopefully this game will be rehashed for future generations.

60Hz didn't improve the quality of the graphics, it just upped the frame rate, although 50Hz optimized games runs too fast with this. SAGA was one of the games that wasn't optimized though :)

SEGA lost the game's assets so if it ever does see the light of day again, it will probably be emulated or totally remade from scratch (but never a port of the original game data).

I remember playing this game 12 years ago, fortunately I know a bit Japanese so I could enjoy the story.

It got brilliant combat system, wonderful music, excellent story, and most important of all, a classic view of world and advanture that definitely beat comtemporary works on sega saturn(even PS).

It was more than a game to me.

I'm pretty impressed that the voice actors in this game did so well with the pronunciation in the scenes where the fictional language is used. I would have thought that being accustomed to pronouncing Japanese words only would make it difficult to pronounce words in this one since the words are formed so drastically differently. You'd think the accent would come through rather noticeably. But no; it sounds quite natural.

First time igot 2 the ending... as u can see...azel goes after Edge... i was then when i tough... OMG they must do Panzer Dragoon Saga 2... but no luck... Team Andromenda Split up... at least they could 2 a PDSaga for PS2 or PS3

Err... No it doesn't. Overheating problems are in the past. Drag yourself into this year. And the PS3 is only slightly better graphically than the 360. And if you want to split hairs, Bioshock and Gears of War look better than anything the PS3 has.

Well, I was hoping for the English version but I guess this will have to do... I was playing this in an emulator, and I just now beat the final boss and watched the FMVs... and right after the one with Gash the window changed size and went black. I'm so pissed right now... it's like I played the game for nothing. ;_; Thanks for posting

I've played this game many time ago in Sega Saturn, and it's one of the best videogames ever. Alas it came out when Sega Saturn was almost dead and it's very difficult to find. About the language: They speak a language invented for the game and so the amazing ending song is sung in this same language. By the way I got a 100% of the game including the dragon's ultimate form. :P

The Seeker soldier tells Gash they have to go soon or they will be in danger, and Gash yells at him saying that Edge will come. But he then realises he isn't going to return he says thank you and goodbye to Edge. After the credits the guy is telling Azel the area is dangerous and trying to stop her going. He then says if she insists she should wait for the storm to pass but she goes anyway. I played this game last about 10 years ago so I might be a tad off but thats the general jist.

Also worth noting that Azel seems to think it would be easier to not reveal her and Edge's identities. She's told An'jou that the two of them were just survivors from Zoah. Allows her to still inquire about her lost love, but repel any prying questions from people who might know about either of them. Guess she'd rather not be held back from getting on with her search as much as she can.

I wonder why Zastava's voice actor didn't get billed as high in the credits as the other main characters' voices? Arwen is up in the top bracket, though. Zastava was just as important a character and had plenty more dialogue...

True. That's one of the issues of the game.. Shield and Vengeance Orbs are a bit overpowered (though I use them all the time) since zero damage from whatever makes you invulnerable.. And the only monster in the game capable of bypassing those skills with it's Cancel power is Sestren (final boss).. Thumbs up for your video collection. :)

I like your way of fighting.. turns the game less "boring" (for those who love it, it's never boring) and repetitive.

Yup, I tried but it runs too slow. It becomes boring after a while. How did I put the emu running? Well the thing is that even I can't recall it very well. I did it once years ago and since then I have the folder in a CD so I won't lose the configs because I might not get it working again!
