This movie was really good and I loved it but the only thing is this movie takes abit to get going and you need to stick with it to really understand this movie.
True stories can be made...meanwhile this particular movie is a film adaption of a classic book. It has it's own importance in the representation of Black literature and as an epic statement to the base of the human experience...and how we are all connected in the scheme of life...
Finally a good war movie! I have been pheming since We Were Soldiers and Black Hawk down. Hopefully this will do the Black WWII vets proud. The greatest generation.
You saw it? I have not had a chance yet, I was hoping for something along the lines of "Thin Red Line", "Longest Day" or "Saving Private Ryan." There is a lot of heroism and hard fighting that went on in black units during WWII, I was hoping Spike Lee would use that.
