I had this problem with a hoarder neighbor once, the outcome was a horror show, the owner died in a mysterious fire and his dogs were slaughtered at the hands of animal welfare agents, just terrible.

Yes, the SPCA with no help from the local animal control company fought in court to get all the dogs and most of them got good homes and are doing well now. Thank you for your concern.

i took in a golden Labrador around 4-5 months ago that was emaciated and he's really fat now. i dont know how anyone can let a dog get that bad.

Thank God they are ok. How can anyone do that? That's how my dog looked when we first got her, it's heartbreaking. How can anyone do that? At 5:45 it was so sad. this is really sad, Sometimes the best of ppl have the best of intentions, not that long ago there was a woman around this area that was taking in strays, trying to help them, but things got out of control she had so many she couldn't afford to feed them and have proper vet treatment, and i am really tired of ppl dumping their animals on us country folks, i lost track how many times i seen ppl drive by stop and throw out there dogs or cats so they can fend for themselves that makes me sick

It is very upsetting to see any chained dog, but a starving mother with babies! The heavy chains can kill the pups. How can the mother dog even feed their pups if they get no food. Thanks for posting the video.

I found an old female rottweiler wandering the streets in this same shape,it was obvious she had just had puppys and no one was feeding her.she was so weak she collapsed by the side of the road.

Oh, Linda, seeing how skeletal she was is just breaking my heart. So glad you all got them out of there! This non-enforcement of laws is a nationwide problem that we as animal advocates MUST put a stop to. Right now they are getting away with it, and we have to stop letting them do it. The good news is that all the dogs that were seized, two which had heartworm the rest almost dead have all been altered and have new homes. it is a miracle.

Unfortunately, I work in a no kill shelter in PA, and we see this way too often, emaciated mothers, nearly dying just to feed their pups.
