  • nice job jake, my question is... so you drink out of the negative size? and how come the water doesn't have a pH of 7, both waters jugs are connected to eachother and the water passes through both, they should mix and have a balanced pH

  • do you put equal amounts of water in both tanks .

do you put equal amounts of water in each tank and is salt put into plus tank thanks .

  • So you’re Interested in purchasing a water ionizer? Well before you make the plunge... visit my channel for a comparison of the best water ionizers in 2011/12

  • Couple of questions for you. What is the final result in PH for the negatively charged water and what is the difference between the saltwater PH not charged verses saltwater charged?

  • One question though. Nice stuff but how long does it take to lower the ORP level and what pH do you get and in what time?

  • What are you using as the sealant ? Is it rubber you are cutting out in the shape of a hole ?

  • hi))LOOK AT THIS ..ALKALINE WTER FROM AIR wwwpointsensyquelle.hu

  • does it remove poison rat killer fouride?.

  • can I make diarrhea in to drinking water with this?

  • note, you don't need to add salt all you have to do is to amplify the voltage DC

  • Two notes of caution:

According to a study in Japan, considerable damage to cardiac tissues (heart muscle) is most probable- if you are not acidic, avoid drinking Electrolyzed Water with a pH over 8. This is not a concern with naturally alkaline waters, (those that are alkaline due to mineral content.) Do not mix medications with artificially alkaline water. It disrupts their time-release mechanism and can result in death. It could rip a +1 medication apart...

  • still researching...if throwing a calcium and magnesium in the mix could work, I dont have any answers yet..I just got far enough...but the heart muscle business had me way concerned...a heart cell can beat on its own..the access charged water that is in a body that is no longer acidic concerns me....Ive never posted before either...almost ready to build...but...more mineral tweeking is required.....

  • @ericarose1979 Hey, do you have more information about it?

  • @ericarose1979 Hey, do you have more information about it? porras.leda@yahoo.com

  • @ericarose1979 medication is useless just get the right nutrition & you'll be fine... disease can't live in an alkaline environment!

  • I have read that regular metals will leach impurities into the water through the electrolysis.Stainless is better, but it has been found to leach Nickel. Not good. The best material to use is titanium. Does not release any byproduct.

  • Nice vid... The commercial units I know of use platinum coated titanium. I'm wondering if the titanium by itself holds impurities that could get into the water with the electrical reaction as someone mentioned could be the case with steel washers. I also wonder if the water is safe once electricity has come in contact with the plastic and sponge material. Any thoughts on these?

  • Does the alkaline water taste salty? Can you add other additives beside salt?

  • @HUNTCHBACK888 Depends on how much salt you put and no not that i know of

  • Hi, thank you for the sharing the video. Can you please tell me how many amps is your 12V adapter?

  • @HUNTCHBACK888 1.5 amps :)

  • I am having the hardest time finding the PVC fittings. Can you give me a suggestion as where to go to get them?

  • @shrmtnk Try Home Depot or Fleet Farm

  • @shrmtnk I've tried Home Depot, Lowes, Ace hardware, pool supply stores... there is no place around here. If I had a part name or number, even a picture I could bring to the store so they can order it for me, it would be a great help.... or I could try to find it online. Help, Please!!!

  • @shrmtnk i checked the website for Lowes and they are called Charlotte Pipe 1-1/2" PVC Female Adapter and Charlotte Pipe 1-1/2" PVC Male Adapter. i hope that helps

  • @jak3ps2 Got it running... made a tank full of PH water and I am very happy! Thank you!!!

  • jak what up g, new to the alkaline trio water thingy, i had a ?, which container do i drink out + or -, and what do i do with the other. and one last one, how long does the h20 stay alkalined once unplugged, thanx

  • awsome vid jack, simple and to the point.

are you working on a fluoride remover with radioshack parts by any chance ;)

  • sorry for posting the same thing twice..pls delete one..thanks

  • hi how r u..i have a few questions.

    1. how long can the water stay b4 it looses its alkalinity.

    2. is it true that the water has to be placed in a dark container so as to prevent it from loosing it's alkalinity

3.if my container is like a 3.5 gal, how long do u think it will take for it to get to a 9ph, and what amount of salt do u recommend that i use in it.

    4. how free should the sponge be in the hole, cause i am wondering if mine is too firm (even though water can flow thru)

  • @sexiepet

    1) It starts "decharging" instantly through the foam filter and over a day to lose it all. This depends mainly on the size of the filter. The smaller the better.

    2) That's what I read. Personally, I can't see why. Baking soda is another preserver.

    3) Within 12 hours at 12V 1Amp. DC! NOT AC!

    4) The dual purpose for the filter is to allow electricity to conduct through the water in the containers ionizing the water yet keeping the two different charged bodies of water from mixing.

  • is this the only video on HOW TO BUILD one yourself on youtube???

pffffff looking around for for days now,.....

  • Great knowledge being spread here! What could I use as containers instead of plastic? Glass is too hard to cut without breaking, and I am afraid of using stainless steel containers due to electrocution. Also, is 5 hours the minimum you must wait for this to be effective? How long is too long, or too short? I would be nervous to leave this on when I leave the house, is there any secure way to be sure it won't cause electrical damage or fire? Thanks a lot.

  • I'm diggin that background music bro. Nice add!

  • OKay, Finally got all the materals... I should have a worikng model before the end of the strong (week). I will try to post some vid so you can see how it went. Will keep you posted...

  • Hi jak3ps....gr8 vid....can you tell mehow long do you have to keep the electricity going...to get the ph test...

  • @theindivish I keep the electricity going for about 4 hours

  • Give thanks for your Quick reply Dude. But I was talking about the black wire splitter thing you pluged the adapter into and screwed the alligator clamps to?(RT Hand of the person in the vid. assuming it was you) Also, I noticed you used washers would it matter if I used Titanium bolts?

  • @LionHawkRastaBrave I'm not sure what its called I just picked up a splitter radio shack and titanium bolts should work just fine.

  • why does the water in the two different jugs have to be connected why can't you make the alkaline and acid water in two different jugs without them being connected.

  • @ColdCiti

Anions are "attracted" to an anode, a positive pole and cations are "attracted" to cathode, a negative pole.

The jugs have to be connected to allow that travel of the particles. The sponge prevents the accumulated minerals from mixing back together.

  • Great vid Dude, But what is the thing in your RT hand @ 2:24 called? and where can I get it?

  • @LionHawkRastaBrave Its a 12 volt AC power adapter and you can get it at radioshack

  • @jak3ps2 Give thanks for your Quick reply Dude. But I was talking about the black wire splitter thing you pluged the adapter into (RT Hand of the person in the vid. assuming it was you) Also, I noticed you used washers would it matter if I used Titanium bolts?

  • you do know that the metal anode and cathode you are using will leak out impurities in the metal and contaminate your water. Better to use metal like titanium or nickel.

Never use stainless steel or you will have Hexavalent Chromium in the water.

Very cool of you to show people how this is done, Thank you very much for doing the video.

  • @simnimbus your comment was right on time. I was about to build an ionizer based on @jak3ps2 when I encountered your wise comment. The unit I am about to build has special meaning for me, since the wather is for my very sick aunt and the least I wanted to do is worsening her precarious condition. Can I use two gold medals as anode and cathode instead? Titanium is hard, and quite expensive, to find. Thanks in advance for your prompt and useful reply.

  • what grade of titanium you used, and what is the diference of aerospace titanium grade 1 and medical titanium grade 1

  • What is the name/model # for the "Alligator Clips Jack" that connects to the end of the AC Adapter?

    Thanks

  • What is the output of that transformer?

  • @helicrashpro 12 volts/1.5 amps i think

  • Does the diameter of the washers matter? The ones on ebay that I see are only 0.3 to 0.6 inches. Yours seem larger.

  • @szmuga I think that the bigger the washers the better.. but im not sure.

  • How does your Alkaline water taste after putting the salt in?

  • @LoTeK382 it depends on how much salt you use. You might not even taste any salt

  • More questions...

Does it have to be 10 amp or could it work with less, like 5 or 6 amp?

Maybe a good link to a place where to get the converter would be handy ;-)

    Thanks!

  • Hi again.

As you can see I happend to dubble post on my previous post, so you can just delete one of them if you will.

I found out that 9v convertor I was using was only 450mA, could that be the problem for getting no reaction? Second, I have a car battery re-charger at home that is 12V and 5 amp, would that be ok to use or should it be a regular one (plug in the wall converter, not a re-charger)?

And, as someone else asked, will the plastic leach and get into the drinking water or...?

    Thanks

  • Hi.

Well done and thanks for the inspiration and sharing!

I could not find a dc 12v so I'm using a 9 v konvertor instead. I'm trying with stainless steel for the same reason and himalya mountain salt (could not find sea salt without a lot of additives), but, after 24 h ther is no change in the ph level at all (stays at 6.5 in both containers) and in the one container the water turns brow/red. What I'm a doing wrong??? Please help, I'd love to get this to work!!!

    Thanks.

  • How many minutes do you usually let it stand to make or have the right PH level? They say let it too long is not good for the body either.

  • @Downer01 i usually leave it going for around 4 hours.

  • I have been wanting to ask, what kind of salt are you using?

  • @5306donkey I just used sea salt

  • Thanks for sharing.

  • One more thing where did you get your test strips I got some from Walgreen's and it's only showing a trace and I am thinking that it is much higher because when I put water in a cut and put a couple of drops of olive oil in it. it dissolves the oil like no ones business

  • @5306donkey I bought my test strips at a health food store similar to a Whole Foods. But you can easily find them online.

  • @jak3ps2 I went to the Pool store and they had a pack of fifty strips for eight dollars but it test everything the acid/alkaline/ph and I Believe that I am getting accurate result now but when I used the ones for walgreens it was saying a trace of alkaline and now the ones from the Pool store are saying eighty to one hundred and twenty range

  • I have tried the drying cloth for cars that I have heard a lot of people saying they used and WELL it made the water smell so bad it smells like fishy water OMG so nasty wow I think the best bet is to use the sponge like you are using also the ten amp twelve volt charger is no good I went to radio shack and got a ac/dc charger like the one you are using and I am seeing a lot of bubbles and with the ten amp charger I saw nothing a bubble here and there

  • @5306donkey I tried the drying cloth before the spounge and it did the same thing.

  • @jak3ps2 yea but the cloth gave the water a nasty smell and I was not going to drink that water smelling like that

  • Very clever! I have seen a few other home made devises which were nice and that I could build; but they were a bit more expensive and more labor intensive. I like one in particular; but for the sake of experimentation, and my cheapness, your method and materials appeal to me the most so far. I'm doubting that you will be out done with these particulars in mind. Thanks a bunch.

  • did you have any problems with a little leaking or dripping because I have done the same thing with the two deerpark jugs and I keep playing with it and can't get it to stop dripping it's driving me crazy because it's so simple yet it's kicking my AZZ

  • @5306donkey I did have that problem so i put some rubber rings on (0:35) and made sure it was a tight seal.

  • Love the ingenuity but it's not recommended to drink alkaline water done in a plastic container, the electrolysis does pull apart material and plastic is now known to be hurtful. I recommend using stainless steel or glass like a fish tank.

  • Hi, thanks for showing us how to make the water ionizer. I have 2 questions:

    1) Can I use stainless steel or copper washer instead?

    2) What is the size of the PVC pipe?

  • @HUNTCHBACK888 Stainless steel would work but copper would fall apart. The PVC pipe i used was 2 1/2 inch.

  • Thanks for this great video :-) I will definitely try to make my own now. :-) I may be back later with some questions.

  • Also I went out today and I got a big bottle of 100% lemon juice, and put it all in both sides of it and filled the rest of it with water. I don't know how it's going to turn out because the preservatives in the bottle of lemon. HOW will this affect the water?????

  • @5306donkey IT DID NOT WORK DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS IT JUST MADE THE WATER SMELL NASTY I WONT PUT THAT STUFF IN MY MOUTH LOL

  • OK I just tried it today and it seems to work, takes time but it works it brakes down oil and if you put oil in reg water it sets on top

  • can I use a ten amp charger?

  • @5306donkey that's ten amp twelve volts

  • @5306donkey I havent tried that but you could give it a try

  • would the reactions help the plastic chemicals leach?

  • drink the negative, folks... Seems counter-intuitive but drink the negative!! Positive will turn nasty, is acidic, helps disease thrive, not good for the body! Do not let the water get lower than the point of connection or the positive (bad) water will seep into the negative (good) water. But fill it again and the bad water will go back to the positive side, no worries.

  • Interesting

  • wow very cool... sure beats 2 large for fancy pants machine!

  • excuse me so brown water alkaline or acidic???

  • @vitalikxxxxx123 Brown water is acidic.

  • Thanks for this great video. I made my own water ionizer based on what is show on this video but I seem to fail. For almost a week now, I can't seem to make the waters from both containers vary in pH ( both got 7-7.5 pH after being left for 12hours ). I already tried salt, baking soda, or lemon juice as an additional conductor additive, but all seemed to fail. I tested both positive and negative terminals for power and both are ok. Can you please help me where I have gone wrong?

  • @geniephupinson what are you using for a filter.

  • Comment removed

  • @jak3ps2 I used exactly the same kind of foam you used that I bought from home depo .... A good news dear friend, I finally was able to make a successful ionized water .. one container( positive terminal) now has a pH of 5.5-6.0 and another container( negative terminal) has 9.5-10 after 12hrs. Thanks thanks a lot for your great video. My mother and I now drink the alkaline water I produced wiht my homemade alkaline water.

  • @geniephupinson Thats great!! Enjoy!

  • Is that magnet?

  • @jewpk11 If you are talking about the O shaped things then no, they are titanium washers. Thanks for the question!

  • @jak3ps2 Please can you tell me where you purchased the titanium washers, would like to make a water ioizer also.

  • @dmartin1955 I bought the washers on ebay.

  • @r2ocky1 are they any washers, seen ones on ebay which were for radio controller car for 99p, not sure if these will be any good, thanks awesome vid by the way

  • @r2ocky1 Any good sized titanium washers should work.

  • Comment removed

  • @dmartin1955 McMaster has titanium washers for about 3.33 each I don't know what grade the ones are on ebay but the McMaster is grade 2 this is good and pure

  • Do u can test with orp meter ? I want know it .Thank you.

  • Good video dude.!..got a question ?.....would this work on seawater? and one more question ....have you used this water to growing anything.

    good going bro

  • @nebulasxtv I don't know if this would work with seawater and i havent used it on any plants.

  • why is he moving so fast i think he had to much caffeine

  • @prototype9000 NO that's this water they sat it gives you energy

  • Nice vid and tutorial on how to make an inexpensive one...this is truly helpul. Btw, how long have you charged the water to be fully alkalized?

  • @ferdzen I left it ionizing for about 5 hours

  • can i use more than 12 volt

  • @jupiterlight I dont see why you couldnt, just make sure you have a circuit breaker and you keep an eye on it.

  • Adapter converts the house 120vac to 12vdc . Do not buy an adapter with 12vac output. You want DC = direct current for electrolysis. AC = alternating current means the poles reverse constantly so the + and - would keep trading places, not good for this application

  • awsome demostration!

  • @durbina09 Thank you!

  • is it safe to drink?

  • @KAMPOKULAPO The alkaline side is safe to drink from.

  • you need to explain what and where the white pieces are called and where can you get them. AND what the heck is the red stuff you are cutting.. Please explain.

  • @blewvelvet The white pieces are PVC pipes and the red stuff I'm cutting is a sheet of rubber to prevent leaks and both of these things you can find at almost every hardware store. Also the washers im using are titanium. Thanks for the question!

  • Another question: The negative tank (-) is the desionized water? What tank contain acid water? All the salt may run to acid water tank? Thanks a lot from Chile, Southamerica, for your answers and experience about and the beautifull spirit to difuse your knowledge.

  • Thanks Jak3ps2 you are a nice guy. I have an answer. The ionized water maked as you show, how many time keep the ionization?

  • @Lorenxz100 Do you mean how long? If the water is placed in a dark colored bottle (out of light) it can remain ionized for up to 24 hours. You can test this with your test strips.

  • hi, great video. could you describe de adapter, the voltage output, if DC or AC. thanks

  • @brodher101 The adapter is AC and 12 volts of power. I purchased this adapter at Radio Shack.

  • great video. ive also been looking at alkaline ionized water treatment that uses baking soda and not salt. would that work with your technique? Also, is that an AC to DC power converter?

  • @oneoldboy1 Baking soda is alkalizing within the digestive system. I have not used it in the alkalizer, maybe I can try. Salt acts as a conductor, it allows the electricity to travel through the water faster. Give it a try, wouldn't hurt.

  • @jak3ps2 Baking soda taste nasty I can only wonder what the taste that the water may have

  • if i build one, will i be able to drink the water and from which side , + or - is the drinkable water. thanks.

  • -(negative) side is the drinkable side but you should test the the water with pH test strips to make sure.

  • Really appreciate you putting that out. Todays project for me.

  • great vid ,What voltage did you use? thanks for being a liberator of vital information, could you also tell me what the sponge is for & why is there not a short circut accross the electrodes in the water?

  • @canyoncreekster The power adapter is 12 volt AC. The sponge is used to filter and to separate the water from positive to negative. The AC adapter is reducing the voltage to 12 volts. Also, the washers remain seperated at all times and never touch. We put a slit in the plastic so the wires remain intact and spaced 6 inches apart.

  • This is an Awesome vid, a few questions though on the adapter how do you know pos and neg,? what was that you used for the gasket? on the pvc and what type of washers were those? Thanks

  • The positive wire has a line going down the side of it, the gasket is made out of a sheet of rubber found in the plumbing dept. at Home Depot, the washers are Titanium. Any more questions please ask!

  • @jak3ps2 so are the washers fully submersed in water during ionization?? or half way?? couldn't tell in the video, which, by the way is soooooo helpful. i'm grateful you put this up.

  • @Dzidzia7 You put the washers in as far as you can without having the wires touch the water. Thanks for your comment!

  • Awesome Jacob! thats too cool!
