@ClassicalKaren haha I was just having a race with Rene Fleming! I admire her so much for he accuracy and speed in this piece and was just trying to see if I had it in me too, the older version I have up here is slower
God, I remember having to sing this song for All-State choir tryouts one year. I like that you sang it at this tempo, that's how I had to sing it. This is actually the only video I can find of this song where they haven't slowed it down.
you have a wonderful tone, very direct. Breathing technique seems secure. Watch that arm though! If you can't control it, then incorporate it into your performance - gestures etc. Animate your face more. As with all singers (myself included), consonants could be harder. A very convincing performance, well done!
When singing "la..." etc. at the end of the song; it usually means something dirty is going on in the background that they really shouldn't sing about. This song is about a gossip mongerer at a party. She's telling all the dirt on everyone. You should to portray that in your eyes and gestures. Another thing is that (you were probably nervous) your head and body kept moving. should be corrected. I'm not trying to offend you, but give youconstructive criticism. Keep practicing and good luck!
not gonna lie, it's a lot more fun to sing it faster... but I have to agree it sounds rushed. I think it could be performed that fast though and still be ok, it would just take a little more than what I gave it, dynamic and support wise
This was the fastest French song I ever learned, but the best. It's an all state piece, and I agree., I love that song!
And your French vowels are very good. Mine isn't that well, mostly cuz I only had 10 days to learn it.
Congrats! :)

This was awesome but I think you could've dragged the Laa at 1:00 in the low note for longer which is beautiful when done so :)
