@VulcanHeStan actually scar;s personality is that of a classic control freak even if he headed said council he would still lust for the crown of Mufassa. He believes in his own mind that he deserves the power more "I'M TEN TIMES THE KING MUFASSA WAS" he believes he can do it better and thus it would be better for the pridelands if he were king. Scar's personality type is such that he will never be satisfied with anything less than ABSOLUTE control :)

If you wanna seek truly evil person, judging it by just persons acts or thoughts alone, that kind of people who do evil things or mistakes can just be misguided or misunderstood (or just assholes), they might have some kind of sane reason for their acts, but truly evil persons can appear as pretty normal persons, charming or flashy. They lure others to do wrong and they don't even need any reason to it, they just do it because they enjoy it.

No.... Hades in Greek mythology was NOTHING like the devil we know today. Hades wasn't even evil. He simply ruled the underworld. To be honest, in several ways Zues and Poseidon were worse than Hades.
