@briannotseth Yeh they also called Zoro from One Piece Zolo as well. Funimation is a joke within a joke. They only have money to buy the rights. Yet 9x out of 10 they distroy the anime they Dub over.

@darion65 Actually I just learned this from a friend of mine who is learning Japanese that the R and L are usually interchangeable in names, so whether it is Holo or Horo, or Zoro or Zolo, it is correct. we just have trouble seeing it that way because of how we hear it in english, and i have seen all of the current episodes of One Piece so i know what you are talking about... and i wouldnt say that Funimation is a joke because they have produced alot popular animes out there...

I understand what your saying. However it is true that their choice for voice actors in english dub is very badly done. One piece is one of those badly dubed animes I can only watch subbed.

@darion65 yea i would have to agree with that!! idk if you've watched it or not but Samurai Champloo actually has some really good dub... in fact the voice for Mugen in it is done by the same guy who did the voice of Spike in Cowboy Bebop... idk if you've ever watched it or not though, but it too has some good dub... but yea i hate most dubs like the dub for Bleach is worse than crap in my opinion

@darion65 Dude, 4Kids dubbed some of One Piece, if I remember right. THEY destroy shows. They change names, change origins, take away every Japanese remnant of the show...they're terrible. Much worse than Funimation.

I will not let you speak badly of Funimation. They are probably one of the ONLY good dubbing companies in America that actually can dub anime and keep it intact. I applaud the original JP dub and prefer it to the english dubs. However, Funimation's dub of the first season of Spice and Wolf was absolutely beautiful and I give this company a lot of credit for what they do.

@DarkRaven008912 I wasn't! I was saying that Funimation is WAY better than 4Kids. I loved Funimation's first season dub of Spice and Wolf too! I was going to watch it originally, but I ended up watching the Japanese. Either way though, Funimation is awesome and certainly my pick for a dubbing company. :D

for instance, One Piece, Samurai Champloo, Ergo Proxy, Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z (I dont think GT and Kai are that great but it depends on who you are), Claymore, Burst Angel, Tower of Druaga, Afro Samurai (and Resurrection), Love Hina, and the list goes on... just saying Funimation isn't some cheap Disney knockoff, they are run in Japan so they know what they are doing when they sub, i will agree that they destroy most of the animes that they dub though,

@Littleredridingwho yeah they do but im made the didnt come out with season 3 that pissed all their fans off they it was beacuse something the people working together didnt get along so that posed problems for the anime or something im still pissed thats why i only watched that anime once but i have read some of the manga it got really boring so i kust forgot about vampire knight but the anime was awesome worth watching
