I think I know why his movies aren't very good. I have only seen one, but I still think I'm right. There isn't any struggle. He wins too easily. There is no conflict or crisis, because it is very apparent from the beginning that he is going to win and all of the bad guys are just waiting around until Seagal comes to kill them. So it becomes a snuff film where you're just watching him beat up and kill people.

@qwiklerner, watch Machete and you get damn near the opposite of that. But for the most part your right about the formula, I actually think they are quite enjoyable for that very reason. I never have once watched a Steven Seagal flick other than for the fact that it's fun to watch a man as big as he is kick ass so proficiently. Believe it or not, in spite of the fat jokes, he is actually very very good at aikido. And on occasion he is quite watchable.
