  • From what i was told the D150 is 2wd & the w150 is 4wd i didnt know till i was shoping for a lift for mine. its a 1980 w150 club cab with a 318 with 360 heads & 360 intake. did not build it my self. I like your truck i also got mine for $800.

  • @kickmeintheballs1234 good to know. i just got the class 5 hitch and brake controll and wiring kit so i can pull a car trailer i will do a video of me wiring it soon

  • what rust??? its a dodge, there the least rusting trucks

  • Nice truck there Fang.

  • Comment removed

  • How did you find that for $800?

  • @394Husqvarna criagslist he wanted 1200 but i talked him down to 800

  • Probably a 727 trans. You have Prince Albert in a can? Well you better let him out...

  • I can here your u joints. Might want to change them.

  • @TheScooterdude80 ball joints?

  • nice, it brings back memories riding with my dad in his 79 power wagon.

  • dudes c'mon get real im a dodge fan just the same but also a a ford fan an im pushing an auto choke 1406 edelbrock on my 300 I6 ive pulled 390 v8'sbackward with it

  • you might want to sell that carb, 600 is too big for a stock 318, a 500 would go a lot better on it, it's like exhaust it needs to be sized correctly, too large does more harm than good, i had a 600CFM 1406 Eddy on my 86 Silverado with a 350 with 76cc heads, Voodoo cam, LT's and 2.5" duals and the 500 made it feel more responsive, didn't bog down anymore

  • @snakesonaplane2 i just put a 1405 on it i believe its 600 cfm it was just so cheap!... i would love to get a older 2 barrel but for some reason at summit racing 2 barrels cost a arm and a leg

  • @DannysCam Edelbrock makes a 500CFM 4bbl just like the 1405, it's the 1404 carb it costs $280 from Summit so it's about the same as the 1405, and if you can sell your carb i think you'd find it does a lot better with that smaller carb

  • @snakesonaplane2 do you know any one who makes a good cheap 400 cfm?

  • @DannysCam not sure, i know Holley makes a 390CM 4150 style carb, but i think 500 is about right for a stock 318's output

  • @snakesonaplane2

see thats the thing im not sure if mine is stock the guy talked about rebuilding it but he never said if he added any thing else.. he did say he added the mopor valvue covers and it looks like it has a adelbrock air intake

  • @DannysCam could just be dress up items, i had Edelbrock valve covers on my old Silverado and a Holley Street Dominator intake but it's not a whole lot better than stock, i think a 500 would be a good bet, no way to really know until you try though, but 600 is the size used for a mild engine making near 300hp

  • hi i have a 72 power wagon w200 318 2 barrel and i was wondering with that edlebrock does it have alot of power? the 2 barrel on mine feels like there is no power.

  • @nathan666545 it feels like it gas good power but keep in mind some trucks are geared low mine is so it still does not have alot of pickup but it can pull good. the car i got for it was a 1405 and with tax its like $280 and its 600 cfm

  • @DannysCam ya my truck was a snowplow truck its whole life and is geared super low

  • @nathan666545 if your not using it to pull a 35 foot trailer it might be a good idea to just get it gear high for speed not for pulling but you can still pull a car trailer atleast

  • Are you stil pretty happy with the truck?

I have an old guy I work with wanting to sell me his dodge 84' 150 inline six truck

for 1200. It is in great shape with out 4x4 but thats cool i just need something

good to haul wood and chickens around the farm...What do you think? Thanks man!

  • @london1817 it did great in the snow and ice is it a long bed if its a long bed i would say get it inline six moters have alot of torqu i hear

  • @DannysCam Yep its a long bed just what I need... biggest bed you ever seen! LOL Yours is the short bed and its 8' right? then the long bed must be 10' ?

  • nice power wagon the 750 is a pig i would use a 650 on the street or a 500 cfm \m/ summit racing is a cool website been there myself later dan

  • @erectionaffection yeah i went to summit and got a edlbrock 1405 600 CFM looks the same as the old one but i got it for the manual chock makes it easy to start and the price was right at 270

  • what did you do with the datsun or going to do

  • @samla101 my moms van broke shes driving it...

  • cool truck

  • Nice ole Dodge Danny you will stop liking it before long and start loving it trust me.Them ole dodges grow on you.I have had a 73 and 74 dodge truck still got my 67 dodge.I bet it will really be a hoss in 4x4 action.Back in the 1970s dodge trucks were the thing as 4x4s really powerfull.Even my 2x4 will tread some deep mudd not that i ever do that but years ago you bet i did.I have rebuilt those motors and transmissions if you treat that truck even fair it will last so long you get sick of it lol

  • @arkansastrash320 i love your old dodge its a one of a kind truck. i bought it for how it drove and the price i will keep it for its towing power it has a rearmain leak but i can fix that i believe with some at 205 heheheh

  • @DannysCam Its a cool truck I like it.About that rear main leak you siad its not to bad right now.Well i had a bad experience with a chrysler 5th avenue both my parents with me 50 miles out of town and the rear main just busted lose and oil was pouring out faster than i could put it back in.I was lucky i made it to a small town where i was stranded and called my brother.I just got done replacing rear main in my 67 DT it was easy to fix.Danny if it gets worse fit cause a long trip spell diaster.

  • @arkansastrash320 What i mean is if your on the highway and it starts pouring oil you won't know till it starts knocking unless your lucky enough for it to get on the exhaust pipe and smoke and alerts you like mine did.I know one thing trucks are sure easier to take the oil pan down on than cars for sure!!!

  • @arkansastrash320 now thats bad lol running out of oil is all ways bad... it drips a little i need to check the oil befor i get 2 far tomorrow lol.. the seal it self i have seen videos on how to replace but if its the rear main i would have to pull the engine thats the hard part... or time consuming one lol

  • @DannysCam Its not hard Danny rear main seal you have to take off the oil pump 2bolts don't unscrew the oil sump just leave it you can clean it like it is if U want to.Then 2 big 3/4 bolts take them out and then remove the main cap the seal is inside there maybe an old rope seal mine was they usually last 20t 25 years.Anyway the new seal will be a 2 piece seal very easy to install the old one you will have to pull out U mite have to turn a screw in it and use pliers to pull it out then it easy

  • @arkansastrash320 If you need any help later if you decide to repair that seal feel free to ask me i will gladly help you its not very hard .But attention to detail is critical about the new seals the way they face when installing them and you must oil or grease the new seal good before closing it back up the main bearing too.I love working on trucks not really but being poor i have no choice so why hate it LOL

  • @arkansastrash320 i think im thinking of the rear shaft seal. or are you talking of the same? im thinking of the back of the engine the one you have to remove the tranny to get to lol

  • @DannysCam Hey Danny no the rear main seal of the crankshaft. No removal of the motor is needed at all just the oil pan!!Then the oil sump that picks the oil up and into the oil pump then after that remove 2 bolts holding the rear main cap on and the seal is inside. When you buy the new seal it should come with instructions as to what direction the lip of the seal should be installed. You will need silicone mine came with some.Any help U need just holler.Love your truck its cool danny

  • Wow that looks like fankers old truck.

  • Nice but if I got a dodge it would have to be a diesel other wise I'll only drive a ford gas and diesel lol

  • The only thing you can't do with that is pass a gas station lol . Nice truck for 800 bucks

  • @ShawnCFarm true that lol

  • thier goes a quarter tank of gas lol hell just the carb is woth the 800 bucks you spent on the truck sounds good. is that skeeky noise the odameter cable. good deal man

  • @ranchero302me yeah he said i needed to oil the speed cable... i never done that befor is that hard lol

  • u gotta make a mudd n vid man with the 4wd

  • @ACDCEvan i need to find a good open place to try it.. i have not even had a chance

  • nice my next car might be a truck!

  • @nx2overide good idea

  • Hell yeah! Thats an awesome truck man! Its a damn tank. I jus ttraded off my 79 d150 sportsman. Those 318's are bulletproof...just watch out for those 727's, not the best trans in the world.

  • @utoobube i have heard alot of good things about the trans from comments but from people i have worked with tell me dodge never made a good tranny only good engines lol

  • @DannysCam well, the later torqueflite trans are the death of the jeeps (like you were saying) Yes, thats whats in jeeps. but Ive only had one 727 trans and it did ok by me. However, I have seen lots of people I know have problems with them. I think when it boils down to it, its like everything else, theres some good ones and some bad ones....Id rather have a 727 than a 700r4 or a 4l60 trans, and Im a chevy guy, lol!

  • @utoobube lol on my ford i had a c6 it was ok but even after a rebuild its not as smoove as this one

  • @DannysCam Hell yeah! Thats just it too, as long as your satisfied with it, thats all that matters!

  • seriously you need to put the skirts back on the fenders..when you hit mud holes you are going to drown the engine

  • @centervilletn ,,,,

  • @DannysCam heck im driving a 80 chevy luv truck...so i guess i dont have much room to talk..lol

  • @centervilletn you know i fucking luv the chevy luv.. i would love to git the rare diesel one they made its just as rare as the ranger they made with the perkins 4 cyl diesel

  • @DannysCam mine is gas..it gets 50 mpgs...my neighbor has a diesel ...i gave 400 dollars for it 10 years ago......ive had a few of the old ford couriers..they really werent very good trucks...

  • @centervilletn now thats a good deal

  • its got all that aftermarket stuff because none of the original equipment has worked since 1/1/1980

  • @centervilletn my ford was the same way... its a 31 year old truck give it a break

  • @DannysCam LOL...ok ..im must not a dodge guy...My favorite is a 79 f150, short box....

  • sell that damn thing and get another FORD....you said it man ...creapy!

  • @centervilletn im board with ford..

  • Glad you finally have a Dodge (real truck lol), is that the military version?,Other than the Auto Zone (junk) alternator You have quite a ride there

3:51 I don't think it's so much a Neutral Safety Switch but rather a wire on the indicator (atleast on the '92's it be that) You should be able to haul 8K & 145k not even broken in try 300k before you'll need some work, Put 15-50 Mobil one in her, 1.5qt Heavy Duty Engine Stabilizer (& go over by 3 qt) That should help the seal, worth 2k, Mine 9mpg

  • Nice truck with the one payment plan. Gotta love it.

  • @fixinggrace heheheh true that brother

  • my neighbor has a red one but his runs on piston all the time piece of shit barely moves.

  • do you have prince albert in a bag? then you better let him out.

    also, where's the suicide knob?

  • @maskedmillionaire LOL!! its been a long time since I've heard that joke!!

  • Nice truck man! First vehicle I ever owned was a 78' D250 4x4.

  • @wiseguylt4 sounds like a good truck

  • cool

  • @JDMowerGuy1998 thanks

  • its kinda like my gmc truck its a hunk of $h!t but its your s and alot of people cant say that

  • @turneynicholas hehehehe

  • You could go with a smaller carb with a 650 cfm carb your burning extra gas for nothing...ran a 318 with a 2bbl and got in the high 20s for the mile for gallon..If its a stock 318 put a smaller 4 bbl carb on it and headers and an intake the better she breaths the better she is on gas

  • @Hiddenbeneath1 i would love to do that but i found all the smaller carbs cost more then this...

  • @DannysCam You might spend a bit more now but what you will save in gas will pay it off in no time..My buddy had a holly 650 on his 318 ramcharger got lijke 10 mpg ripped her off put a small 4bbl on and bam cheaper on gas..650 plus cfm carbs are not for stock motors my 327 isnt stock and I run lower than that..Im not giving heck Im giving some usefull advice..Unless the 318 is built up to the tits all you need is a stock cfm carb 650 is too much and your going to burn gas for nothing

  • sweet truck!

  • @combatarmsmaniac thanks man hehehe

  • $800 Wow thats steep here for that truck. Cars must be expensive down there.

  • Look vinyl interior to me.

  • @travisjeanelle i kind of like it

  • @DannysCam Well if the floor is vinyl too its easy to clean just spray it out with a hose I had a ranger like that. Plus the vinyl dont wear from sliding in and out like leather does should see my leather seats in my brevada

  • 727 i think dodge had

  • @spark23ca thanks for the info

  • @DannysCam for a transmission i meant ...torque flight or something 727...changed a few when i was a kid

  • @spark23ca like the torgue converter?

  • @DannysCam no i thought that was the name of the type of tranny ...torqueflite 727..there i googled it got the correct spelling

  • finally .. a nice ride !! keep it that way haha ;)

  • @djbazzmaster i will do my best heeheh

  • I know guys up here that would kill for that truck! its a 79, 318, auto, 4x4!

  • @thestuffz yep hehehe it turns heads i like the fact it runs lol

  • I have a 1976 3/4 ton d200 long bed with the 318 v8 small 2 barole carb. granny 4speed tranny. 16.5 bf goodwrench tires.... Payed $325 for it because it had no brakes cost me $43 to fix them. I'v had the truck for 5years now and only replaced the file pump 2years ago still tuning like a bat out of he'll....... That a good buy You are going to love that truck. You know what ford means... Fuck/over/rebilt/dodge.

  • @cbhonda90 now thats a good deal. long beds are great for hauling ply wood if your gonna have a truck have a long bed so you can truck stuff around

  • Looks and sounds nice good buy.

  • @paulb4uk hehehehe

  • nice truck ! glad you got a good deal.

  • @whitemanwaydownsouth thanks man

  • I dont know if that year truck has a ballast resistor, most of the time found on the firewall. Its a good idea to have a spare in the glovebox they do go bad and when they do there is no power to the coil. Also called a Ignition Coil Ballest Resistor. LOOKs like great truck for 800 bucks I do know that truck will be great in the snow and mud and will pull a mountain over! i have a 88 power ram 360 4bbl. 33''tires and it loves the taste of gas lol

  • @58belvedere i think i tuned it where i am getting 12 to 14 not sure need to hook up a 1 gallon tank lol

  • lmao paint it flat black

  • @DodgeDweller420 or flat green

  • I can just see Danny riding down the road and having this litlle squirell chasing him for miles trying to get his nut back! Lol!

  • 720 trans

  • @58belvedere some one said it was a 727 i need to check

  • it needs a desel 6 inch lift

  • @picapop12345 i wish it had a cummings diesel how hard would it be to dropp one in it?

  • @DannysCam not reeyly just put it in mounts and all and it will take a lot ov beer tho

  • I never did like the interior styling of dodges... Even the new ones. Nice truck though man. As long as it runs and drives and gets you from point a to b...... Thats all that matters!

  • @mbyr31 i like the colors white and black but the dash shape is kind of weird lol

  • Nice.

  • @JTPNYC95 thanks

  • You will like that 600 cfm on there a lot better for pulling. 750 cfm on a 318 is kinda useless unless your trying to break land speed records or something. Also that year of truck would have had a 727 transmission not the 700rx.

  • @Mopardude it has alot of pull i would love to try some stumps! lol

  • nice cd player

    keep up the good work

  • @N1XVAN thats a tape player lol

  • Are you sure it's not a 727 Transmission?Unless a 700RX is a later model 727 for Dodge.

  • @TheStigmadeign i need to check lol

  • Sounds like the Harmonic Balance Seal is old.It is such a bitch to change that seal.

  • @TheStigmadeign all that wind is from the fan i believe its the rear main that drips i need to make sure its not the trannys front main

  • She?

  • @TheStigmadeign old owner called it betty

  • I like your truck, it's pretty neck.

  • @kookiemoose its been turning heads on my way to work mostly from the guys if a girl liked a truck like this that would be hot! i once saw a girl driving a rusty old truck it was hot...

  • The question I have is does this one have heat ?

  • @chox2001 yeah!

  • never shave danny - you look like a sophisticated urban troglodyte with those whiskers. mmm mm - so sexy

  • @jbooks888 im to lazy to shave its cold out lol

  • i don't know why - but i click the i-like button before the video even load up...

  • @jbooks888 lol

  • Sweet Dodge! Thats a real mans truck! I'd stick with the 600 for a 318 daily driver. Yeah thats a 727 tranny and the transfer case would be an NP203 fulltime 4x4.

  • @motorheadisgod i wanted to put a 400 CFM but they cost more then the 600 CFMS so i went with the 600 its not full time 4x4 because it has the engage stick i believe not sure

  • @DannysCam Yeah those little ones are always expensive. You could even put a 2 barrel on there. Does it have lockout hubs? If not its probably still fulltime, and they did have the stick. I know its the fulltime shifter knob cause it has the hi and low loc positions. You can get a kit to convert them to part time with hubs you can turn in/out.

  • I always loved those trucks.I liked the Ramcharger too with the back cap removed it made for an awesome 4 by 4 convertible.

  • @captainimij What year did the Ramcharger have a removable cap?

  • @Mopardude the 79 had a removable hardtop I'll post a link to you.I always thought they all did.

  • @Mopardude the one i saw was a 84

  • @captainimij i saw a guy with a camo ramcharger that he removed the back and weld a back wall in he was selling it for 650 it needed a starter looked cool

  • Wow I removed my last comment because I was mad u bought it but then was like damn when u started it up it sounds beautiful. Congrats

  • @Annalizer77 thanks man hehehe

  • Comment removed

  • mopar all the way man i love it

  • @mcdooby1 seems to be a good truck drives great

  • I like the paint

  • @redneckbryon i do to

  • Looks like you got a great deal man! My Dads best friend owned one of these when I was a kid. He was In the Air Force, and bought it brand new off the lot 2 weeks before he left for Germany. He basically handed it over to us to use while he was gone. It was a great truck! I remember thinking it had an odd interior myself. I hated opening the glove box door because It looks like your sticking your finger in a fat mans belly button! lol..

  • @nitehawk85 yeah the glove box door is like fingering a fat man lol good one lol

  • Comment removed

  • oh and by the way that transmission is a 727

  • @curtismundy thats a cool name reminds me of the air planes the 747s lol

  • @DannysCam yea and the 727's are strong as hell

  • Who not save up and buy a nice truck instead of all those shitty?

  • @Daveisballin i could never afford a nice truck i have a house to pay off...

  • I'm luvin' it Dude!!☺

  • @805ROADKING thanks its my daily driver since i been letting my mom use the datsun

  • Not bad, not bad.. Any plans to paint it?

  • @thehilitereel naw i like it
