Yes The river now wants to cut straight through towards Hackett Creek and this will happen again unless there is some form of a solid diversion strategy. All of the fish habitats on the Salmon apparently washed out. I wonder if fish through out the decades have survived these events. I think so. Well let's see what they come up with.
Amazing that they didn't learn from this episode and properly reinforce that bend. As we see now on January 16, 2011, it's now taken out the road and everything below it for 300 yards or so.
The do gooders wan't everyone to stay out of the river. Minimal impact to the river, forget the humans. : ) All of the log jams from the flood of '06 were still in the river further complicating things.
