This won't work for long. These fish are much too aggressive to be housed together. A pair will work fine in a 55, tho.

@littlelauren971 You need a bigger tank for a couple angels. Keep doing freequent water changes if you already have that setup

@catsaretimtams re-arrange the whole tank, most probably you have a couple pairs, they are fighting for territory.

@people32321 Keep the lights off and give him a few days to settle in. Though they are cichlids they can be very shy, especially when small. Hopefully he'll be okay.

I love your setup man. I am looking into an angel tan of my own. I have a sailfin pleco right now in the tank, hes about 2 inches now, and i want angels and some other fish. what other fish can you recommend for tankmates with angels? i want to keep it so that the fish all come from the same part of the world if i can so it is a naturalistic setup. Yes, it's not crowded... I use to keep 25 adults in that same tank. I changed at least 50% of the water each week though.

The simple answer is no. A single Angelfish needs 20 gallons with an additional 10 gallons for each following fish. Angelfish get very tall and would not fit in a 15 gallon.

Yes, all of them are in the 55 Gallon tank, the wood came with the tank. I bought it used from a friend. Here in Puerto Rico you can find driftwood on the north shore... lots of chunks of woods of all shapes and sizes.

Thanks for your comments. The bare bottom is to make sure the bottom gets very clean on water changes. This is basically my growout tank.

Nice angels and driftwood. I'll never understand the bare bottom tank concept though.. It looks so unnatural, and as if it's never complete. Other than that, nice tank.
