Actually this look is much older than the Black Metal scene. It was epitomized by Venom in the very early 80s and widely copied by the first Black - Thrash bands all througout the 80s, from Hellhammer to Sarcofago, very early Sepultura, very early Destruction etc. This is the old school thrash look that was popular before (and even whilst) American thrash bands brought a more "street" dimension to the genre. I don't think I remember, say, Norwegian BM of the 90s associated with this look.

I've wanted to hear a tune by these guys since I kept seeing 'Nocturnal' mentioned on the internet and metal magazines etc. Now I'm glad to hear some, these guys are awesome. It's a damn shame metal isn't big where I'm from at the bottom of the world. 'The Exorcist' is another similar band from Poland who play retro Blackend Thrash metal. I managed to pick up a demo by them which was great too reminding me of this band.
