But humans make humans to, when is the soul inserted and why doesnt the robot get it? let me correct you on one point humans don't give life to humans. the womans body dose the chemistry but the cell already has live in it. life is a spiritual entity and it is not accesable humans cause if it was trust me alot of people would be back from the dead. and thats what arobot needs to have a soul.the spiritual body of man is made up the heart the mind and the soulthe spiritual body is not our making

Interesting video :) I don't believe in afterlives, but many years ago I did and my answer to the question would have been no. But if we were to consider a robot to having the same experiences as us why shouldn't it? We would only differ in composition.

The clip at the end where there's a walking thing dragging what appears to be a vesicle, is that calmodulin? I remember seeing another animation of it but I keep forgetting what it's called :X

We have so much evidence showing that our mind (or consciousness, or whatever people wish to call it), is dependent on the physical squishy stuff in our skulls called the brain. Our consciousness is an electrical storm in our brain, if we interfere with these electrical patterns, we see a change in behaviour, feelings, thoughts, even our emotions depend on chemical signals that our bodies synthesise.

hmmmm I think this video already asumes your position of naturalism is the correct one, Joel, but I can understand why it would be. Robots are like counterfeit humans, they are a simulacrum of the real thing. Since robots were created by humans, where exactly did humans construct in the robot's soul? Robots are not even at today's most advanced level as sophisticated emotionally as the average human. robots can't actually "feel" any emotions, they just play a sequence of data which gives....
