  • Luba did a good job with this skit

  • YOU LIE!!!!

  • I'm European and I don't really know who Ron McLean is? Can anyone elaborate, please?? Thank you. ;)

  • Rom McLean is the co-host of Coaches Corner, along with Don Cherry. Coaches corner takes place during the first intermission of each hockey game on Saturday night on CBC. Saying McLean is the co-host is an overstatement as the entire show is him starting a sentence with Don Cherry cutting him off and basically making him look like a fool. Whenever he tries to make a point, Cherry would intercept and say something else.

  • Thank you...It makes more sense now. :D

  • Although, I support the Monarchy but I mustsay that was WONDERFUL. I and love her British accent. I loved what Luba said at 1:26 and the applause after that showed the support for the Monarchy.

    Just LOVED IT!

  • ....just curious.... what has the Queen or the monarchy done for you? I was raised in eastern Canada my whole life from Italian parents, and as an outsider looking in, I just don't see what there is to support. It's not like the monarchy is for getting rid of private/fractional banking, as far as I know anyway....

Maybe you can enlighten me a little? Or point me towards a documentary or two...?

  • Well, what will president system do for me?

I am a British-Canadian, and quite proud of my heritage and the Queen. Let me tell you why? - ·I find it peculiar that all these people slag of the monarchy saying, it's out dated and inefficient; the monarch doesn't do anything. Well why not slag the popes, he does the same job the British monarch does, lead a church. Why not slag off every chief-of-staff (the US president for example) for.............

  • ...getting paid to be the head of the military. The monarch is the head of the armed forces. They swear an oath to her, not the Prime Minister. Why not slag off all the ambassadors who travel around the world at taxpayers expense, throwing parties trying to impress each other, where they try to remember whom runs what country. Our.............

  • ...current Queen is an extremely good rock, remember that her first Prime Minister was Winston Churchill, she's been there for them all, and known every head of state from almost every country for over 57 years. And I defy anyone to stand in front of her and not feel awe. Why not slag off every advisor; the monarch meets every Thursday with the Prime Minister, in a one on one private meeting with no agenda simply to discuss anything. Tony Blair was quoted with say she was invaluable to him...

  • ...Who does the Prime Minister turn to for advice? All the trouble with his career, how to stand against or with other countries, even how to handle his wife's pregnancy. These are just a few of the things she does; there is no one else on the planet capable of doing it all (and at almost 84 years old!). We have all these great things rolled into one person. Someone who can do their job, lead a nation, a dam proud nation, a dam great nation!

And then it's not only about the monarchy, I......

  • ...for one ADORE the Queen as a person. Elizabeth swore as a teenager to serve her country above all else and she has lived up to her promise, even when her crown has been a burden. This once-lively young woman has sacrificed self-interest and personal joy for her subjects for over sixty years. In public, the queen never puts a step wrong. In private, she herself knows she has made many mistakes. She has sacrificed motherhood for majesty!

  • Dude, in that big reply, you didn't really tell me "what has the Queen or the monarchy done for you". BTW, I did not slag the queen, all I said was "I just don't see what there is to support". Sure, I put the Queen in the same boat as the US presidents, the pope, any other religious head, the private bankers, the pharmas, and oil men. I do think the Rothschilds have more of a say about what happens in England and the world than the Queen does. We live in a corporatocracy now, don't forget that.

  • Is that the real Ron McLean or an actor?

  • its him

  • Pretty funny, except the actress' 'English' accent was absolutely hopeless. I've noticed that North Americans usually have trouble with Aussie/English/Kiwi accents, for some reason.

  • "There is nothing more exciting that a Brett Hull slapshot; except maybe when Charles falls off a polo pony."

    I love that line.

  • wow that was the most convincing british accent EVER... seriously - god im so glad my tax dollars are going out to support this highly comedic and hilarious show...

  • Hmm, you've obviously never been to the UK.

  • notice the hydrochloric sarcasm of my comment... this show is an embarrassment and an abomination.

  • I love it when Luba does the Queen. She is so good at it (and Don is great at Prince Charles). I wish they'd have them on more often.

  • lol "you're just like prince phillip"

  • "Wait? Cujo's in Detroit?" Hehehe!

I have a question. . .how old is this clip?

  • read the date early in the clip, october 2002

  • Oops! Thanks! I probably saw it and then watched it and forgot.

  • I love Air Farce, can you get any with the ING Direct guy?

  • lol

gotta love air farce. they say the right things at the right time.
