Things to take away from this:

1. I'd kill to be in Catherine's spot during that final song with Danny (seriously, I'm so glad he decided to take on Jack's singing voice. He's right. Nobody could've done it better).

2. That's adorable that he got his daughter's input on the music.

3. The Oogie Boogie song is brilliant-that voice was just perfect for that.

4. I am truly in awe of all the work that was put into this project. It's a labor of love, and it showed beautifully.

Man and I thought BEATLES songs got stuck in my head! Nightmare B4 Xmas used to be one of my favorite childhood movies, but after I turned like six I didn't watch it again until I was 17 and now I listen to the soundtrack EVERY SINGLE DAY! and Nightmare is now my favorite movie if not one of the greatest movies ever made. Such pure, beautiful, origional artistic creativity. I never get tired of that music no matter what season it is.

Danny is always going to be one of my favorite musicians, his rock work and film scores, but nothing will ever haunt me like his Jack. He's right. No one could have done more or better, and pairing him with Chris Sarandon for the speaking voice? Brilliant. Both voices are so rich and heart-breaking.

its stop motion.....it means they model clay figures and take pictures of them and then string the pictures together to make an animation sequence. not computer animated.

He only did the voice of Jack whilst singing - the voice parts were by an actor - though Elfman's "Jack" singing voice is extremely alike (If not near exactly like) the actor's (Chris Sarandon) - there are subtle differences - Personally I find Elfman's Jack voice far more expressive - he effortlessly puts so much emotion into it.
