  • UN DIA COMO HOY 11 DE FEBRERO

1990: James Douglas derrota por K. O. a Mike Tyson en combate por el título mundial de los pesos pesados.

  • Don King is a son of a Bitch

  • fuck don king

  • Man...remove this video from YouTube. I'll never forget this fight. This was Tyson at the lowest point in his life. It was Robin Givens fault! Bitch!

  • I remember seeing this live on tv when I was 10 years old. I think it was on a monday night in february.

  • @ChoctawNationCinema godamn man that's a good memory! I was watchin it live when i was ten aswell and I still don't think the result has sunk in yet!!

  • it just happens to be busters night but overall iron mike is a beast and his entorage entourage were just gold diggers

  • tyson was at his prime but he was doin coke and weed already at this time and didnt train lol mikes fault...couldve been the greatest if he wasnt an idiot..still my idol...greatest boxer imo...couldve dominated heavyweight boxing 80s~2000s even if he was in 40s if he wasnt an idiot lol

  • @CardingSungkitErmita Well when you get arrested 38 times by the age of 13, your lucky to still be alive by 25...

  • @CardingSungkitErmita you're absolutely right i remember when he fought Berbick for the title the announcer said the only person who could beat Tyson is Tyson himself and he did indeed do that

  • @pmack169 in manchester united

  • Douglas should've been counted out when he went down the first time...

  • @DonCorleone87

No, he bloody well should not have. He was awake and listening to the count and got up at 9.

  • @BruceinFalkirk the referee delayed his count, need I say more?

  • @BruceinFalkirk he didn't stand up straight and put his gloves up or get his mouth guard back in. The ref can't stop counting until Mike stands up on his own (he's tumbling toward the ref), so indeed it is a standing knockout.

  • @SantomPh

Yes, even if it wasn't a standing knockout, Tyson had had enough and further punishment could have killed him.

  • Strong point

  • r u ppl idiots, have u not seen the whole fight, both fighters were prime, remember douglas was knocked down the round before, it was heart that won the fight, and not saying tyson wasnt great, but he had little heart.

  • I remember watching this fight at a pizza place. Tyson couldn't get pay per view anymore because the fights all ended in the first round so this fight was just on plain old HBO. I remember going nuts. I think they even made a buster douglas boxing game at one point.

  • and he wasnt in his prime in this fight

  • @sk8erg466, yeah, he was old, washed up and over the hill at the grand old age of 23, eh?

  • @iljn1988 his ability was declining yeah.. if he fought the tyson that won the belt this NEVER would have happened just except it damn

  • @sk8erg466, as ever with Tyson, it's all 'if, coulda, woulda, shoulda.' I think people are confusing having an off night with being past their best. And if it's all down to Rooney going (again, Tyson isn't the only fighter to switch trainers mid-way through their career) then doesn't that just show that Rooney was a brilliant trainer rather than Tyson being a brilliant fighter, if he was suddenly so hopeless without him?

  • @iljn1988 no it shows that rooney kept tyson focused on what he should be focused on instead of getting in trouble and losing focus... are you sayin if he fought the tyson that won the belt he still couldve beatin him... no way in hell

  • @sk8erg466, it's possible that Dougas could have beaten the '86 version of Tyson on this particular night; because in this fight, Douglas was near-perfect. He would have troubled any Heavy in history on this form. Have you actually ever watched the fight right through? Tyson isn't the only fighter to change coaches, and his life has been easy compared to others. Do you make the same pathetic excuses for every loss on Lionel Rose or Matthew Saad Muhammad's record? Tyson got beat, deal with it.

  • @iljn1988 wouldnt happen again though Hahaha

  • @403766 yea, your mother also got owned LOL

  • @conanone That was a poor comeback

  • this was a fluke.. tyson changed after his trainer died

  • @sk8erg466, ah, that old chestnut about Tyson losing this fight because D'Amato died. You do know that D'Amato had been dead for four and a half years by this point, don't you? D'Amato died before Tyson even won the title - his death didn't stop Tyson from unifying the division in spectacular fashion, so you can't all of a sudden use it as an excuse for this defeat. Jesus, the way some Tyson nuthuggers talk, you'd think he's the only fighter in history who had problems outside the ring.

  • @iljn1988 well he was still the one of the best fighters ever in his prime so what are you tryin to prove?

  • I remember this fight like it was yesterday. I WAS SHOCKED! I thought Tyson was undefeatable and thank goodness I didn't bet on it. Douglas fought like a real man and didn't back up one step. Regardless of Douglas' post career, he did what many thought was impossible (including me). Just goes to show why they fight in the ring and not on paper. Perhaps the greatest upset in boxing history. PS stop being dicks to each other posters. We all have our opinions but be civilized about it.

  • tyson could not lose when he was in his prime and if he continued to have a good trainer he would have killed douglas

  • Buster Douglas beat Mike Tyson in a boxing match. How many people in their lives can say that?

  • @TheCaptain377 It wasn't Buster Douglas fighting either... it was Shaq.

  • Tyson did some really bad shit in his life. To a large extent he's a git.

But seeing him scrabbling on the floor trying to pick his mouthpiece up is one of the saddest sights in boxing. Felt genuinely sorry for him. So many hangers on fucking him over, selling him down the river, getting a free ride in his slipstream, doing his head in. And he's in there, shit punched out of him, not a true friend anywhere in the world. A sad image.

  • @Gidster19

    well said, I totally agree

  • Tyson was KOed by every fighter he ever fought that wasnt scared shit of him.....invincible my ass!!!!

  • @njmudpuppy Wow you dont know shit the only Two fighters that ever knocked out Tyson, Lewis and Douglas. Man take your white ass out of here

  • @conanone Danny Williams also.

  • @conanone learn how to read douchebag............I said he was KOed by every fighter he face that WAS NOT scared shit of him.......and lets not forget Holyfield and danny Williams dumbass

  • @njmudpuppy oh yea and a no-name called Kevin McBride made the allmighty Tyson quit on his frigging stool......sorry home slice your ghetto hero was NOT the best.......was NEVER invincible.....and though he had all the tools to BE the best, his greatest achievement in life was to become the biggest disappointment in boxing history......

  • @njmudpuppy Man shut the fuck up you bitch, damn you replied like 3 times to my comment get a fucking life you fucking loser, get a fucking life Douchebag

  • @conanone so....you can't read very well OR count???well at least you know about boxing.....oh wait, you dont know shit about boxing either.......hmmmmm??? well? what the fuck DO you know?

  • @njmudpuppy I know I can knock you the fuck out, you Jewish piece of shit

  • @conanone first you said I had a white ass.....now you call me a Jewish piece of shit......so,hmmmmm,obviously you are an ignorant little wanna-be,an internet tough guy that idolizes an all time fuck-up like Mike Tyson,AND on top of that you are a no good racist little cock-sucker.....you're not even a boxing fan are you????

  • why didnt he try to bite his ear?

  • Tyson is the best. Respect 4-eva bro.

  • @piss666off He deserves respect. IMHO he wasn't a top ten all time great. ghe just doesn't have the quality wins and fighters on his resume to warrant that.

Still too many try to take away from Tyson's accomplishments and call him a bum. I ask: Does a bum unify the titles without breaking a sweat? Does a bum destroy Michael Spinks in 91 seconds? Who else stopped Larry Holmes? Granted Holmes hadn't fought in 3 years and was clearly rusty but nobody afterward ever stopped Holmes.

  • sometimes it takes a loose to wake up.

  • Haha Buster Made Tyson His Bitch That Night.

  • what a shit copy

  • and Douglas didn't even have to bite him!!! LOL

  • I can so imagine the fans screaming "GET UP!!! GET UP!!! GET UP!!!!" and then "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!"

  • douglas was fighting for his mother.

he was determined to do anything.

  • @thorsten393 and marciano?

  • Douglas was the GOAT in my opinion

    joke lol

  • This fight was essentially the beginning of the end of boxing's popularity in mainstream sports.

  • @Svittidiu lol wut.

  • Too bad Buster couldn't even defend his title. Gained a ton of weight in his next fight and lost his title before he could even look at it. Both sad stories.

  • LOL. Outclassed? He fought them well after his prime and his career was basically a joke. He didn't care anymore and it was obvious. As far as this fight..he wasn't prepared either. Either way, it happened and you have to give Buster all the credit in the world. But if Tyson would have kept training hard and had his head in the sport he would have never lost a fight unless of course he went on late in his career and tried to fight longer than he should have. Biggest shame in sports history imo.

  • @ultimalex44 24yo and past it? Get the fuck out. Nigger got lazier and stupider under KIng...and sure Buster was a disappointment after...but at that moment in time he was the instrument of Tyson's karma. He was the Champ that night, and began Tyson's humiliating descent into loserdom. TSR

  • This makes cinderella look like a sad story ..... AMEN ....

  • A wonderful moment in boxing to see him knocked out. Stop the bullshit here. He was 24 years old and this was just one of several fighters he could not beat. There was also Evander Holyfield and Lennox Lewis who outclassed him. Fuck him a rapist, jailbird and a bankrupt.

  • Tyson is trash alway's has been and shall be forever. He never should have been allowed to box again in ANY state after raping that little girl.

  • you guys who hate on tyson cleary have a lack of knowledge of the sport and what boxing skill is and tyson won knocked out douglas in the 8th round it was a late count so BLOW ME

  • Still the biggest upset in boxing history.

  • nah it was the biggest act of heroism in boxing history, and don't say he was well past his prime, cause i don't see any wrinkles on him in this clip. Hi hip hooray for B. Douglas. Thanks Dougy.

  • I'd say Muhammad Ali's knockout of George Foreman over in Africa was the biggest upset in boxing history {at least as far as highly publicized fights go.} That fight {like Ali's fights with Frazier} was a much "bigger" fight than anything Tyson ever fought. Ali was bigger on the world wide stage than Tyson ever dreamed of being. At the time of the fight Foreman seemed invincible. He just knocked out Frazier in the 1st round. He was killing everyone. No one gave Ali a chance.

  • @kentucy9999 I would have to disagree because Tyson at this point in time was one of the most famous figures in the sports world at that time. No one really ever knew about Buster Douglas and that's what makes it bigger because a virtual unknown beat a man that was virtually invincible in the ring. People knew Mike as a monster destroyer and thought that this would be another notch under his belt. Ali is and always will be a famous name, but this upset tops any upset in boxing history, bar none.

  • Hilarious. Never fails to lift my spirits. Tyson has always been a punk.

  • 42 to 1 underdog beat the odds. 1000 will net you 42,000.

  • thats bullshit, this was mike tysons first ever loss, james douglas did a fan-tas-tic job

  • Tyson Took A Ass Whipping That Was Long Over Due. Did You See His Eye ? Dammit!

  • uno poer wera pukeke tere mano toure hehehe

  • wow all those hits right in the face, nice

  • Tyson always had problems with larger fighters like this. I can't see how in any way could Tyson have beaten Foreman if both were in their Prime. Foreman was a lot more dangerous then Buster Douglas. Yet Ali still beat Foreman.

  • That was beginning of his fall as he fired Kevin Rooney and he got off his training routine. He was concentrating mostly on a knockout one-punch, so there wasn't much finesse like in previous fights.

  • It was about money, Don King told him if you knock them out early with a single punch, you'll get more fame and money.

  • he was up at 9

  • why are people saying he was over the hill at this point? lol hes in his prime

  • DAMN!

  • mike tyson is not overrated buster lost 2 tucker who was beat by tyson

  • A bully always ends up bullied .

  • This was when Tysons career went down hill he turned to drugs he was still one of the greatest boxers

  • Mike didn't train for this fight.

He said so in his interview.

    Awesome K.O. though.

  • ok. if you look at their reaches compared. douglas's reach was a whole foot longer than tyson's. tyson fought by getting up in people's faces and throwin tons of hard hits. tyson wasn't able to get in close which resulted in tyson getting his ass handed to him in all but the one round he knocked douglas down.

  • Mike needed a hug after that.

  • One of the most depressing moments in boxing and the mouthguard hanging out of his mouth one of boxing's most haunting images.

  • dam tyson wtf?

  • Mike spends his KO-time searching for his teeth-protectors.

He didn't get in his punches, and lost.

  • Mike Tyson wasn't ready for this fight due to his emotional state of mind that time. We all know that.. but fact is ..yeah, he lost..

  • Oh shut up, Douglas lost his mother the week before the fight so don't say shit about "emotional states."

  • no he didnt you moron.

  • Owned in his prime

  • Prime my arse - 83 to 88 was all the world got of Mike at his absolute best.

  • Actually no one saw mike at his best, he left his prime while stll in the womb. At least thats what his deciples would have us believe. He beat stiffs from his start to 87. Unless you count the amazing RICK SPAIN!!! Or the always dangerous WILLIAM HOSEA!!! And hey, you ca't spell Marvis Frazier w/out FRAZIER right? Most Tyson fans even admit he lost in his prime.

  • stop talking, tyson started his career in 1985, and this was still his supposed prime. TYSON IS OVERRATED

  • great mexican referee Octavio Meyran

  • i'm guessing the commentators had bets on tyson then...

  • Get some glasses, buddy.

  • Never get too cocky. That shit will come around and bite you in the ass.

  • tyson was rented to own in this fight!

  • Comment removed

  • Douglas beat Tyson in his prime.

  • Douglas got lucky and is a disgrace to boxing, where is that fat pig now ?

  • Douglass won every round bar one.

    He owned Tyson

  • He never once asked for a rematch with Douglas, every time Tyson found himself in a real fight he got knocked out. He never once came from behind to win, or got up off the floor to win.

    Tyson good but not great.

  • go die you tool, tyson would rip your fucking balls off

  • I'd shoot the rapist bitch right between the eyes

  • At that point,Tyson was too caught up in his celebrity status and not spending enough time in the gym.He got clocked.the ref did the right thing by stopping the fight to protect him from seriously getting hurt..It was obvious that he didn't know what planet he was on.

  • i did see another clip of tyson, where he said he only trained for like two or three weeks....not for this fight in particular, but for another fight....so him coming in to a bout unprepared is also feasible.

  • tyson came into this fight cocky and unprepared

  • thats a bunch of bull he only knew he can beat douglas that ref cheated tyson

  • No, the ref did not cheat Tyson. When Tyson was knocked down, referee Octavio Meyran gave him the same slow speed count he gave any fighter who was knocked down. The ref never cheated Tyson. Tyson got beat fair and square.

  • shut tha hell up you are sooo dumb when douglas was down he waz down for 10 and tha ref diddnt count it he stopped at 9 when douglas was wobbley at 9 count he should have stopped it douglas waz kod and i dont care who doesnt like it tyson knocked that man tha hell out tha ref cheated tyson

  • yeah , i think tyson took a dive on this one, this is when tyson was awesome, normally someone like douglas would have lasted three rounds. tyson has to get up , but he's wasting valuable time looking for his mouthpiece and then trying to put it back in his mouth all in the span of ten seconds.....fixed!!

  • he would lose the title to Holyfield in 1990 oct he would gaine weight to nearly 400 pounds until he decided to make a come back to the sports and he did he retired in 1999

  • dude, where did you get your facts from? You got it all like 10 years too early- tyson retired in 2005 and has since gained so much weight he looks like a fat pig

  • no meant the guy Tyson was fighting James Douglas would retired in 1999 thats that gained almost 400 pounds I know Tyson retired in 2005 lol

  • I've always thought, IMO so don't jump my ass, that Tyson threw this fight. Think about it, what were the odds on that fight? whoever bet on buster hit it huge, and we all know Tyson is all about the dollars. Just sayin.........

  • Tyson had lost and never lost one of the worst because it was out of shape

  • i knocked tyson out. we had a fight ad i beat him. i had more skill. more power. i was victorious.

  • Tyson said soon after winning the world belt for the 1st time: "I'm not only the youngest world champion, I'm gonna be the oldest too". And he woukd, if the extra-ring mess he went to didn't affect his mind and training. No family basis, sequential losses of mother, Cus and his next trainer, too much money and illusory power, greedy people around him, Miss Washington... That's altogether what destroyed is wonderful career. Really a shame!

  • im no expert on boxing. whether tyson was at his prime or not, i can say 4 sure that those punches are fucking powerful and would hav knocked out most people!!!!

  • yeah he practised on women.. fuckin rapist beast - i piss on him every time he gets knocked out. go on boy smash that cunts teeth down his throat fuckin pussy.

  • fuck u bitch

  • you would need a dick for that eunuch/woman ! either that or go back to jail and join yr boyfriend tyson in the rapist beasts section.

  • these times were great when the referee didnt stop the fight after one touch

  • tyson was notin his prime in this fight, not since he fired his trainer after the spinks fight

  • as we say in boxing theres always a punchers luck also the month before the fight tyson should have been training like buster douglas was and his corner man were shit using a latax glove with ice, if you know the history leading up to this fight tyson never had a chance his trainer died only before the fight so he was drinking and barely training buster trained his heart out and on that day was the better man i would like to see this again but without his trainer dying before the fight

  • Buster Douglas had the fight of his life when he beat Tyson. Also, his mother had died recently and he was fighting as if he had never fought before. Tyson wasn't prepared to win this fight.

  • This was the only fight where a Boxer beat Tyson at his Prime...

Unlike Holyfied(who used Doping)lus Tyson comming to Ring after almost 3 and half years of absnce in the Ring...

And Lewis wo beat Tyson ween he was only a shadow of his former Self,,,

ike all Boxing Experts say:Boxers reach ther peak and fall at different Stages...

Tyson Prime was betwen 1986 and 1992.

Lewis Prime was betwen 1995 and 2000.

Holyfied was a Warior, but since he used

    of Doping(confirmed)he had no Prime.

  • 10-hit combo! sweet...

  • Bullshit, thats what everyone say's but he did roid's and got knocked the fuck out here fair and sqaure

  • are you serious? then you know nothing about boxing history

Tyson was slacking around the entire month before the Buster Douglas fight because he was overly confident

It was Buster that trained his heart out after his mother died and was probably in his prime when he fought Tyson

Yea, Tyson lost, I know, but atleast know what you're talking about, that's all I'm saying

  • I can't believe there are still retards who think Tyson won this fight...the rules refer to a ten COUNT, not ten seconds, and Douglas was just watching the referee to see when the count was at eight or nine. If the referee had started counting earlier, Douglas would have gotten up anyway. Tyson may have been one of the top ten heavyweights ever, but as it stands he's just the #1 waste of talent in sports history.

  • You people are really desperate for excuses. Mike was a great fighter. But he got beat here not only fairly but convincingly. Stop grasping for new excuses.

  • LOSE ... WIN

    Thats what we called game!

    Dont argue more!!!

    WTF

  • you said it.

  • you are absolutely right. Tyson was a disgrace to boxing.

  • i blame larry merchant

  • He fired his trainer Rooney and notice, from there everything went downhill, his defensive technique was lost, instead of jabbing and slipping in he went barreling in, went for one hit KOs instead of combinations, so on and so forth. Prior to Tyson's decision to fire his long-term trainer Rooney I he held all three major heavyweight boxing belts. So he was, effectively, the world's best heavyweight boxer at that time. So shut up and quit acting like you know fuck all.

  • you cant be world champion forever

  • "This makes the cinderella story look sad" where did that line come from, lol.

  • tyson was the best ever no matter what

  • lol the best? who did he beat?

  • LMFAO

  • tyson was at the end of his time... as 4 da longer reach . shut ur fuckin face . tyson has knocked out spinks with out a prob ... so fuck u n shut ur loose mouth

  • END!? even mike said the only reason he lost this fight because he was 2 busy runnin aroun dtown fuckin japanesse hoes. gamablin and drinkin

  • Don't be liar, Tyson said that Buster Douglas fought him with heart and because of his mother's death he made a promise to not lose against Tyson

  • WAT! have you seen tysons filmography of his life? Tyson, Don king and tyson's trainer at the time said he wasnt focused and that he was out partying and getting drunk and fuckin prostitutes. One of the rape accusations came from japan aswel. Go look it up

  • And you never heard tysin say those words out of his mouth. The commentator said that not tyson.

  • yeah, definitely. its not like the filmography would adjust the facts is it?

  • no no no. You said tyson said those words, but he didnt. You got the facts wrong

  • robbed my ass, he straight up got his ass kicked. if he laid off the crack and ego then maybe trained he might have had a chance. everysince this fight reallity crept up. he ain't as bad as he thinks and those who think he is are just as dumb.

  • It wouldn't have mattered Tyson's eyes were glazed and it would have been a TKO anyway.

Tyson lostt o Douglas for the same reason he lost to Holyfield and Lewis.

The intimisation didn't world and the bigger, longer reach and faster combonation fighter won.

Just like a Prime ALI would have.

  • Mike wasn't robbed. Buster was better that night, he dominated and fought an almost perfect fight except for the one slip up when Tyson caught him. For once, the opponent wasn't intimidated by Tyson's past success. Buster Douglas simply convinced himself that with his size and skills, he had nothing to be afraid of and the outcome proved it. Tysons cover was blown, which is why someone like Razor Ruddock would give Tyson trouble and later on, Holyfield handled him.

  • LOL

  • NO...it was Tyson who did the robbing to Holyfield....he's still trying to get his ear back....

  • tyson deserved that ear!

  • Hey, man's gotta eat

  • i got to meet him at columbus airport

  • Tyson hit the mat at the 1:07 and the ref reached the 10 count at 1:22. Iron Mike had 15 seconds from the time he hit the ground. The graphic that counts how long Douglas was down starts after he get hit by a knockdown punch. Douglas was already upright waiting for a nine count (risky) before standing up completely.

    watch?v=AVcGGq04GYM

  • Wasn't it great how a big guy like Doulgas showed-up to fight and used his advantages against a "Joe Frazier" size Tyson? Douglas wasn't scared of Tyson one bit. Tyson wasn't off that night. He was in his prime and he got his ass kicked just like Joe Frazier did against Foreman back in the day. When a big man uses his tools...jab, jab, jab, overhand right, uppercut, keep the smaller man at distance,...and is not afraid of the smaller man like everyone else was of Tyson.....an ass whup ensues.

  • That reff counted hella fast

  • sweet,sweet...i ain't no tyson hater, but, that was a viscious uppercut followed by a really sweet 3 punch combo...ain't no doubt about that...

  • Four-punch combo.
