  • Sorry about your terrible experience. I had mine for 5 years without a single problem and zero bleeding. I just got it changed out for a new one the other day and that hurt like hell, but the pain was gone the same night. My doctor gets me to get an ultrasound so she can ensure it's positioned correctly. Sounds like thats what they should have had done for you.

  • @foxmaiden26 I had an ultrasound to check positioning they said it was fine that was after they put it in, I wish I would of researched it more I thought I had by reading the pamphlets and doing some googling I just think it wasnt mean to be I have implanon now and Ive heard of people having issues with that Ive had mine for 8 months now and it works great for me I still get cysts but rarely now.

  • that what they wanted to put in me i told hell no i hard alot bad shit about that

  • @TheJustinaxt Biggest mistake I made I got mine out last une and got the implanon and I couldnt be happier I felt instant relief getting my iud out. Wth implanon they said I may get cysts up to 4x a yr thats better than every month Ive had 2 since une I can handle that.

  • thanks for sharing, hope everything goes well

  • Thank you for sharing your story with us. I didn't see what the ultimate outcome was though (unless I overlooked a Vlog you posted). Hope all is well.

  • @majackl1 I havent posted one and need to in June of 2011 I ended up getting my IUD out I couldnt take it anymore same day I got Implanon implanted in my arm Ive had Implanon 8 months now I still gt cysts but no longer live in pain and I am on no pain medicines anymore. Ive had 2 cysts in the last 8 months which I can't kick about I feel so much better. I promise I will do an update soon!

  • god your face is birth control

  • @BrownFrown22 And you have room to talk when you dont have a pic of your self up.

  • Jesus..what guy would let you do more than blow him?

  • @webcabbie Jealousy is a b*tch

  • she is way fat. Thats birth control enough.

  • @murphtallica326 real mature

  • I got the mirena about a yr ago and what I love is the fact that my period completely went away! I dont even know its there.

A couple of days ago I got my period again so Im wondering if thats normal or if maybe the mirena moved or something..a little stomach pain so I will definitely check that out.

  • My mom had this implanted last year and she has rheumatism, there have been several problems with people that have this(fibromyalgia). with the Mirena the complaints got so bad she couldn't drive a car or walk or sleep. When the Mirena was removed the complaints were gone. The hormones screwed my mom up so bad she had to have her uterus removed. I have rheumatism myself and looking for an alternative without hormones.I do have mayor fear of doctors so I don't want anything implanted or injected.

  • @esz170289 My symptoms to subsidded when I got mine removed I now have the implanin and love it.

  • 1. I find you kinda sexy and 2. I'am rly sorry for whats happen, in truth anything that hurts more then a month has to be checked. 3. hope everythings fine ^.^

  • Im so sorry, I pray that u get better soon.

  • @modeechic1 Thank you I appreciate it

  • @LovelyLavenderWhip I'm so sorry that happened. I'm currently looking for a long-term birth control. But now I am definitely not going to get anything implanted down there. The risks are way too high for something bad to happen and cause permanent damage. Thank you so much for posting this vid. God bless you.

  • @scarymissmary1991 Check out Implanon Ive had it since June 2011 now and It was the best alternative for me I love it! It lasts 3 yrs its implanted into your arm noworries they give you a local anesthetic.

  • @scarymissmary1991 I don't know why people let them selves get so pushed around but there doctor, I hope everything goes well for you

  • I have the IUD and I'm also 22 yrs of age I have a 15 month old baby boy and I must say the IUD was the BEST !!!!! BIRTH CONTROL ever I guess it all depends on the doctor or the person who is receiving this procedure I have had no complaints and would highly recommend it to others !!!!!!

  • @sanchellecorrigan I agree totally I got the implanon and a lot of people tried talking me out of it with their bad expierence stories I gave it a try Ive had it 7 months and its perfect for me its true that everyone needs to find whats best suited for them

  • Were you shot in the face by a large calibre bullet?

  • I just wanted to say that my family doctor of 12 years gave me mirena when I was 20, I had never had kids before and still havent. I have had it in now to 4 years with little to no periods the entire time. I have LOVED having it. I was in a car accident 6 months after having it put in and my new dr thinks that a lot of my pain since then in my back might have something to do with it, hopefully it will resolve some problems. Being someone that's tried them all, Mirena is the only one I like.

  • the MIRENA lasts for 10 years.. and the PARAGUARD lasts for 5 years.. did you have copper on your strings?

  • @OhThatsNotHowWeDo Mirena is 5yrs not 10 and no I didnt have copper. Mine is out now and I have Implanon in my arm I love it

  • @OhThatsNotHowWeDo Copper IUD's Last for 10 years Mirena Lasts for 5

  • @OhThatsNotHowWeDo 5 Years....

  • I got the mirena a few years ago and it has been a nightmare as well.. I hate it. I don't have any insurance, and since I'm living paycheck to paycheck I'm waiting til tax season to get it taken out.. I can't wait!!! I've had a lot of symptoms, not to mention the dr didnt put it in right in the first place, which I'd been told by 5 other doctors.. Ugh!! I wish you the best of luck dear!

  • @iammiseryscompany31 I have mine out now and Ive had implanon for about 7 months I love it! If you dont have insurance why now find a local planned parenthood they will remove it for you either free or really cheap.

  • My boyfriend got a vasectomy. No more worries.

  • I'd do You!!!

  • @024leoj LMAO! Props to you! Sorry Hun Ive been taken for the last 7 yrs!

  • @LovelyLavenderWhip I was just trying to lighten the mood. I'm sorry you are or have had problems with this. I think they don't do enough research when they put out these products.

  • I'm sorry that you went through this pain :(

  • @alissemd Thank you I am now out of pain and feel so much beter.

  • I watched about 30 seconds of this video and feel as though my IQ dropped about 50 points.

  • I'm confused - so did the IUD cause the cysts? Or what the a pre exsisting condition that got worse but was shrugged off because they "thought" the pain was from the IUD. I have never heard if an IUD causing cysts alone.

I do wish you good health though

  • @ShesGreenEyed I never had prior issues with cysts until I got my IUD

  • omg im so sorry! i hope everything works out sweetheart! take care huny <3, wish you all the best <3

  • @BintAlHaq THank you so much I got it taken out and Im doing a lot better

  • @LovelyLavenderWhip did the cysts go away ? <3

  • @BintAlHaq No my original ones did but I continued to get more I found out I have PCOS so I get them frequently now I have chaned my birth control to the implanon and I get them less often so Ifeel a lot better Ive had 1 in the last 5 months I am out of the pain I was in which is what matters most to me.

  • Nightmare!...is just what it is!!!!!

  • @zune10000000 Yes and I am so glad its over with

  • I'm going through the same pains as you. It's agonising! I wanna get my IUD taken out as it's giving me constant abdomen pains. I'm just scared about getting it taken out cos I know it will hurt

  • @alibracegirdle It didnt hurt one bit to get it out and I felt instant relief

  • @LovelyLavanderWhip That is horrible!!! But the good thing is that you are better and now you have something that works for you!!

  • @alyLoya Yes its a big relief

  • I'm having the same problem, but I got mine about 3 months ago. Very sore cramps. The last iud my doctor placed resulted in my son. Iud's are def not for me. I'm booking an appt ASAP to get it removed. Much love

  • @ChynnaRose I got mine out and got the Implanon love it you should check that birth control out.

  • Didnt your gynecologist explain anything? mine explained every single risk and every advantage of all the birth control methods, he even said the iud wasnt for me. people need to have common sense

  • @alyLoya no I went in their said I wanted the IUD and she told me it was a good option got insurance approval and did it. I now have implannon which I researched and I love

  • I'm 17 and got the Mirena two months ago and have the same pain you had and really bad bleeding, but it feels like I have a lump in one side of my groin area, its painful and it's completely freaking me out....:/ I really hope I don't have any cysts.

  • @Rits2111 Tell you ob/gyn they will schedule you for an ultrasound and if you do have them dont let them put you through what I did I kept going for ultrasound after ultrasound and they gave me the pill to take with it figuring it was a hormone imbalance get it out! I got the Implanon the 3yr device implanted into the arm Ive had it now for about 5 months and love it!

  • Comment removed

  • @StephZee I wish I would of listened to my body it taught me a good lesson.

  • I got Mirena in February of 2011, the pain of insertion was horrendous. I didn't get out of bed and went as far as to pop opiates for a few days to keep me semi comfortable. I bled constantly for the first couple months but then it tapered off to nothing. Sometimes I spot a little bit, but infrequently.

I'm completely terrified to have it eventually removed. Putting it in was terrible. I WILL NOT have it removed without anesthesia.

  • @methcathinone Getting it out you hardly feel its a breeze I now have the 3yr implanon thats implanted into the arm and love it!

  • You poor girl. I'm sorry you had to go through that hell. Best wishes to you! :)

  • @dmd2874 Thank you so much I am doing so much better now that I have got rid of the IUD. I now have the 3 yr implanon and it has been nothing but a dream for me I feel so much better and I found something that really works for me!

  • im sorry for your bad experience, but if you knew you had cysts, why would you get an IUD? I really hate it when doctors blow off patients, too. That really sucks.

  • @dianegifford I didnt know I had cysts till after I had my IUD. I tried a few thing to get rid of them while I had the iud like combining the pill with it, it didnt help so I got it out and I have felt so much better since then I now have the implanon and love it!

  • Oh God...I'm so sorry that you've had to deal with this!!! I hope that by now all is okay!!! I'm going in for an u/s to check out my Mirena too. Is the pelvic u/s the vaginal u/s? Where they use the wand? I hope not, I hate those!!! :(

  • @jennyjoe798 Yes it is a pelvic ultrasound where they use the wand. I hope yours is ok. I went through a few ultrasounds one to determine placement when I had the pain thats when they found the cysts and 2 more to monitor the cysts. I got my mirena IUD out and went with the 3yr implanon thats implanted in the arm love it!

  • @LovelyLavenderWhip I'm gonna check that out! (The other BC that is!) And as far as my u/s that I had done today-everything came back okay. Mirena was in place as well, all looked okay-thankfully. Still getting the Mirena out on Wednesday though. This other stuff that it's causing is just miserable!!!

  • I've had my mirena in a little over a year now, I get these pains & when I get them they are very uncomfortable. I want to have it removed but i'm concerned about other types of birthcontrol. idk what to do ? what would you suggest?

  • @MommyUneek After getting my IUD out I still wanted something semi-permanent I found out about implanon. I did a little research and some people seemed to hate it I still went with it because it was a 3yr device implanted into my arm so I though Id give it a go. Ive now had it several months about 5 and its been nothing but a dream. Most people complaining about mood changes with the implanon and some slight bleeding. I havent had any period and I dont see a mood change in myself.

  • video I think lots of girls need to know the good and bad symptoms of the mirena, and not to ignore problems that they are experiencing with it...

  • Hello my name is Martha, your video is very interesting because its very similiar to my situation. I have the mirena for 3 years and have been in alot of pain as well, docs said it was all normal. I recently went to a new gynecologist, who sent me for a pelvic ultrasound and they found cysts on my right and left ovaries as well. I have chosen to have the mirena removed, which has moved too. So therefore im having surgery for a tubal ligation. I hope everything is better for you, thanks for your

  • usually they run a llot of tests on you before you get it inserted including cancer. did they ever do that before in serting it?

  • @PrtyHkGrl My gyno ran no tests other than a blood pregnancy test.

  • i dont believe you would keeo it for a year. the 1st two weeks i would have been in the doctors office

  • @PrtyHkGrl I was in and out of the doctors they convinced me it was everythin from pulled muscles to cysts. I had a big deal breaker I didnt talk about in the video that was my final straw that I got it out I wish I would of gotten it out sooner I now have had implanon almost 4 months and ts great

  • @LovelyLavenderWhip Sadly dr's will lie to you because they are uneducated. I mean let's face it the education they get is from the person selling the meds or product. I am in no way condoning this. I've been a victim to a dr's ignorance before. Dr's NEED TO LISTEN to what a patient is saying and really question what is going on! Thank you for sharing your experience & I hope this helps someone! Lots of hugs to you!

  • @bluereviews10 You are exactly right drug reps come in they drop off samples give a little info and thats it. With the IUD Im sure their was a certain level of training because I couldnt have just anyone from my gynos office do it only certain docs in the office did it. I think the ignorance was on both ends I ignored my pain for a long time and attributed it to my iud being inserted that it would go away. Than I got the run-around I wish I wouldnt of messed with the run around between docs

  • and diagnoses I wish I would of just got it out when I first expierenced the pain I now have had implanon for over 3 months and it was the best alternative for me. I think doctors need to understand Birthcontrol seems to be more about individualist the same thing doesnt work for everyone.

  • @mrslovinglife2006 I thought that to and she said the ultrasound would determine positioning she said it was in right I kept getting cysts and had a few other issues Im just glad I got rid of it I got implanon and love it!

  • I almost got one 2day.... It hurt so bad she couldn't put it in.... I am so happy it worked out that way for me.... I am so sorry for all the crap and pain u took... I hope thing get better for u... I would also take that Doc of yours to court.... you told them all year and they sent you home.... good luck to u and your girl... u look like a great mother... xoxoxo

    Vanessa

  • @ilostrickysnumber You should check into Implanon Ive had that for a few months now and its 3 yrs birth control since the IUD didnt work out for you I love it!

  • Comment removed

  • awww im so sorry u went threw that! i had pre cancerous cells when i was 16 and had to get them froze and sluffed off. It was so painful and Im sorry u had 2 have so much pain! :( *sad face*

  • @pickleniki Well I think what you went through seems more tramatic I couldnt imagine going through that are you doing better?

  • sorry for what u r going thru but seriously next time get to the point!!! This was a longggggg drawn out video just to tell us you have cysts!!

  • @msbugsie23 9 mins and 26 seconds was long I could of sat here double or triple that taking my good ole time its my video not yours you didnt have to sit through and watch it you could of clicked out easily.

  • i wish you luck and bless you and your kid !

  • @RpattzMyPapiChulo Thank you since getting it taken out I feel so much better

  • i went through the something similar getting mine. i had a horrible experience getting it inserted, horrible pain. the nurse kept saying it would go away, but it didn't, and i actually went into shock. i ended up getting it removed the same day..

  • @xbacteriagirl789 I am more than happy now that I got mine off I have had implanon for nearly 2 months now and love it

  • @StPatrickEdu you're an idiot.

  • Your makeup is pretty :) sorry about everything you had to go through :(

  • @MsCrayonbox Thank ou so much

  • @StPatrickEdu So your for the young women my age popping out 6 kids by the time they are 25 living on the goveremnt system doing no good for the community. I rather have 1 child be on birth control and be able to raise my daughter and be a good role model for her.

  • @StPatrickEdu - If you are so smart, YOU should know what she is trying to do here. Do you have any idea what an IUD is? Where it is placed? What it does? Shut your damn mouth until you are EDUcated enough to talk. Thank you very much.

  • omg. my parents made me get one and im only 16 about to be 17 and i have never had a child. i had a huge cyst on my right ovary nd evr since then iv been scared my stomach hurts all the time so im getting mine takin out june17 my b.f is goin to take me. ill be praying for you hun. wish me luck

  • @6a6yGrl I got mine out June 1st I feel like a whole new person! No more pain I got Implanon.

  • @LovelyLavenderWhip I cant wait to get mine out.does it hurt?

  • @6a6yGrl Not at all I expect it to like it hrt to be put in but a simple tug and its out I had a little spotting for an hour after I got it out but I instantly felt so much better! The only down fall is if the cut your threads to short they can't always grab them my friend had to have surger to get hers out. It took less than 20 mins between me getting implanon put in and the IUD out

  • You are beautiful, I'm so sorry for the trauma you have been through..I randomly happened upon IUD videos and came upon yours and it just breaks my heart. I'm five months pregnant and have never ever considered IUDs before. I definitely won't now, than you for sharing and I'm so sorry.

  • @serensdipity Thank you so much for your comment congrats on your pregnancy. I actually got my IUD taken out yesterday and opted for Implanon this time. I will be doing an updated video soon!

  • I have MIRENA and love it ....

Has been so great for me , not getting pregnant no having a period no pain at All !!!!

I work out 5 days a week I drink plenty of water I eat healthy and I keep my weight under 130 ....

It's amazing .... Has been the best for me I'm getting my old one remove tomorrow and getting a new one since I'm to young to get a tubal ligation ... I don't want more babies after having a 9 pound and 10 pound babies it's like nope !!

I try to eat healthy and take care of my

  • @jessica75060 Im at the same point not wanting anymore kids. What I have is PCOS I found out and since the IUD doesnt realease hormones its not helping with my cysts like other birth controls can. Im getting mine out June 1st and getting Implanon its a 3 year birth control implanted into the arm unlike mirena it releases hormones and will help with my hormone imbalance and will help me with my cysts.

  • Awww this broke my heart at the end...I also have the mirena and recently I've had pelic pain I need to go get this removed..

  • @judymama08 I was suppost to go yesterday but they called and rescheduled my appt so I am now having mine taken out May 4th and getting back on the Depo shot.

  • you should have had it removed at the first sign of a problem... dumb

  • @KaitieLynn92 Yea get it removed when my first symptoms were pulled muscle symptoms your just that smartest one of the bunch here.

  • @LovelyLavenderWhip well when it's been bothering you since the day you got it put it, and its the same kind of pain. you think you would put two and two togther and come to the conclusion that this device is killing you

  • @LovelyLavenderWhip Don't get offended and be a smart ass, you don't look like you do much to pull your groin muscle!

  • @msbugsie23 I can be anyway I wish you keep leaving rude commentary on my video you need to grow up and get a life. believe me I get plenty of exercise in the bedroom with my bf so I could of easily pulled a roin muscle. You dont know me so you need to STFU.

  • You're so sweet. I hope everything resolves wonderfully for you. Good luck.

  • An elevated ana is when the body is making antibodies against itself. I had to have a lupus panel done because of the severe joint pain. I use to love my iud. Now i reget get it. I know that every one has a different reaction to iud but trust me you don't want joint pain so severe the pain meds don't stop it. As i are typing now my joint are aching. hopefully i will get back to the point were i can wear my hair again and i will be free of pain. I hope this helps someone.

  • @converse22013 Thank you so much for sharing your story. I'm glad you mentioned hair loss my hair has been falling out since I got the IUD my boyfriend who is a barber attributed it to new hair coming in shedding your old hair yada yada but I wouldnt be losing my hair for over a year and a half straight because of new hair growth. I have thick hair so its not noticable but when I am in the shower I can run my hands through my hair and pull out clumps its gross.

  • The only joint pain I have is my hips they say its cysts. I can't imagin living in the pain your in that has to suck. I feel like a lot of people have found the IUD to be problematic. I signed my papers for a tubal ligation. I go for a follow up the 24th of April.

  • Hey i have been on the shot, pill, patch and the mirena. The mirena and the patch were the worst. I had my mirena for 4 and 1/2 years. I just got it taken out in jan of this year. My hair started falling out to the point i wear a wig now and i had extreme joint pain to the point i did not think i was going to be able to walk across the stage with my graduating class. The mood swing were terrible. My bady started making antibodies against the iud. My doc ordered some test and my ana was elevate

  • I had my IUD put in a year ago and Im having the exact same problem. Ive never had the bleeding issue but the pain is awful, definitely the worst thing I have ever done in my life, I've had to go to the ER four times. I finally just got a new doctor and Im getting my IUD taken out next week. I couldn't be more excited!

  • @TheAmanda369 I still have mine in I signed my papers for a tubal ligation my ob/gyn thinks im making a mistake getting a tubal ligation I just can't take this IUD anymore she said they can remove the IUD when they do the tubal ligation I have another appt April 24th I believe that date was.

  • wow if she looks like shit what dose her baby daddy look like??? WTF you people need to stop breading.

  • @Joser68 that is just rude.. why would you say that? so completely unnecessary! grow up.. funny how theres no pics or videos of YOUR face.

  • @Joser68 LMAO!!! Love it, thank you!!!

  • I got the mirena iud in sep of 2009 and I started having bad pelvic and back pain, I constantly had headaches, so on January 2011 I got it taken out I immediately felt relief and she said my mirena was the cause of it all, also it gave me cervicitus! I think that's hoes you say it, it's were your cervix is infected from a foreign object(mirena iud) but now I am back to my old self the only thing is I am still losing the weight!

  • @TheSparklingGlitter I am thinking about getting mine taken out as well

  • I hope everything is going well... keeping a positive attitude and an optimistic point of view will help... your condition is fairly common and with the appropriate treatment and a good diet, you have really good chances of recovery... remember, your body heals itself.. keep in touch with your doctors, don't panic and god bless.

  • im so sorry sweetie... Ive been freaking out latey too because i have been feeling a sharp pain in my pelvis area and im scheduled for an ultra sound and im soo nervous.... good luck to you. best wishes and stay positive... im trying to do the same...

  • @bellarina0909 Stay in touch with me like I said I will update my video on this and if you need someone to talk to just message me. We can talk about or pains together. Last night was another painful night for me I was in the car driving around and it sucks when your havining shooting pains up your pelvis and into your lower back and ribs.

  • Please go find another GYN w/a better bed-side manner, & more compassionate. Even if you have to drive an hour away. Make a day of it with a friend/family member w/shopping or lunch in a fancy city, on your yearly check up to a doctor you actually like. Again, I am so sorry you are going thru this, my thoughts are w/you. B as strong as you possibly can, & if turn the tables back on the doctor & say: "You suggested this IUD, You said not to worry, You said it would go away". It's Her fault. XOXO

  • @MyriadeButterfly I pry will be looking for a new gynecologist I like where I go but theirs just so many doctors and midwifes on staff its more like their patients are numbers and not people. Thank you for keeping me in your well wishes.

  • I am so so sorry. I hope after all this is over, you find a better, more attentive GYN. When she asked you about: "Your yearly" being late, she was covering her own ASS. She was on the defensive. I mean for god's sake, you were there for PAIN, they KNEW THAT. So she may already know 'something' about this IUD, and to protect herself from any liability, she brought the problem down on you, as if your pain is the problem of not having your yearly on time. Puh-leeze

  • Wow. I'm so sorry. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. Stay encouraged.

  • awwww,, girlie,, i hope everything works out.. im praying for you,, please let me know,, mwah!!!

  • I love how honest you are. An I will pray for you and your family. Your stronger then you even know.

  • you're in my thoughts girl. keep strong for your daughter.

  • Oh my gosh I am so sorry :( I wish I could actually be there for you! Stay positive, everything will be okay. I will be keeping you and your family in my thoughts! xoxo

  • Please stay positive and know that you are in my prays, stay strong and whatever happens I know you will be a strong fighter because you have you little one to live for :) please keep us up to date on everything and if you ever need someone to talk to please feel free to write me :)

  • Where did you buy your shirt? I like it.
