  • Great video, Port Jervis is such an isolated but once thriving place of civilization if it wasn't for the Erie Railroad. It still is a thriving town as it was in it's heyday. Like the song you put.

  • Very Nice video. I saw a picture of Port Jervis back in the 1950's it was a hoping Railroad town. Imagine Seeing the Big Erie E-8's and Alco PA's and FA's Passing by with trains all day long!!! That would have been awsome to have seen.

  • The msuic sounds nice with the vid, gives the place a end of the line theme, Port Jervis really is the Boondocks isn't it.

  • Port Jervis is a unique place, I usually go there every summer to go White water rafting, I still wish that MTA and NJT could make arangements with NS to have a complete passenger route all the way through lower New York and Northern PA, to have the complete original Erie route like in it's hay-day. It would suck if u got lost up there LOL.

  • The RS-3 and the E8 really makes Port Jervis look like a railroad town, in which it is.

  • I went there and there is Neat Stuff in Port Jervis, NY. It is a railroad town.

  • Let us not forget about the NYO&W in Port Jervis. I am A Liftime resident of the town. I love the Erie and the NYO&W and they both served Port Jervis.

  • nice job

  • nice continuity, pace, edits, tone, well suited music, angles... . thank you for making and sharing very good work.

some of the NYGWL trains are there. some are also near me in binghamton. the owner wants to have a tourism train excursion run from PJ to binghamton. the commuter trains continue to increase in PJ and if the direct line to steward airport comes through...look out. pj - still a railroad town.

  • @portjervisnycom But when is this going to happen, The Port Jervis route is my favortie line, and I wish that it could be restored to it's original theme, as it was back in the 20th century heading out to Chicago, Though we might never see an NS SD70M-2 roaring through the NY & PA mounatins on this route at speed. I just hope that day will come.

  • wow those cars are still there and so is that greenwood engine and 833 is back?????

  • bravissimo

  • long time no see, hows njt treating you?

  • you were right, csx is giving my dad problems, hes thinking about amtrak, or if the worse happens up
