  • Wickedness is increasing in America.

Woe to the nations that forget God.

  • I'm not a fan of law enforcement but Lemelin should have beat the piss out of this guy just for ruining everyones good time. Would have been a better video. BTW the case went to the supreme court the speaker was found guilty at all levels.

  • @mserp They was wasn't found guilty on the supreme court level the supreme court wouldn't hear the case.

  • That preacher and all others like him should be set a blaze for all to see. Fuck all of you christians .. you are the evil that you claim to be against. That goes for all people of faith, there is no place for you in society, and never will be!

  • ooookei, they did arrest this guy and what not, but is it an assult when lowering a camera? common.

  • @trina4921 as i recall paul appealed to ceasar. we pay taxes in america , we have a right to protections and if the law allows for penaltys then so be it. Maybe WBC is just smarter than U

  • @DarkRavenMist05 GOD HATES the wicked (you) loves only the penitent who forsake their sin.

  • christains are nuts. America is a lost uneducated cause....It feels like they had it comming if they really belive in that bull shiet.

  • @Knubbe37 GOD DAMN AMERICA

  • Comment removed

  • Wow! What a bunch of Nazi scum! When the shit hits the fan(and it will soon) that badge is going to make a nice target for a sniper bullet!

  • @DarkRavenMist05 see what you don't seem understand is that if you disobeyed god

that was the penality. god didn't go around advocating killing people who broken the law.

you seem to be judging god. you using a standard in the middle in which to judge right or wrong.

in your eyes god shouldn't punish people.

  • @DarkRavenMist05 the constitution doesn't give us democracy god does. and

how do you know what christians are against??

  • @DarkRavenMist05 jumping the gun again i didn't say it was ok to kill people

back then god ruled under a theocracy meaning god ruled of a nation at the time

secondly i would never kill anyone we live in a democracy and beside i won't break

the commandments of god thy shall not kill and what are yout talking about it's not

ok to rape where are you getting this??? i think you reaching

  • @DarkRavenMist05 first of all christianity is not a religion secondly god commanded

that witches be burn god didn't allow witchcraft to have a base for it's evilness

fallse accusations? so says you not founded . it was a reason that witches from salem

died. god had them killed not religion when god tell you to do something you better do it

it's just as simple as that

  • this is hardly witnessing. this is intimidating, and seeing what you can get away with.

let me ask. how many people gave their heart to God after this...?

NONE. it was a useless practice. talk in church where people actually surrender their lives. pft.

  • Salem....Salaam...Shalom...Jeru Salem .... Melchizedek ....Henoch ...

  • The only "egregious" behavior in this video was the preacher running his fucking mouth. Nobody wants to have to see these fucking death cults running a muck on the streets. Engage on an individual level or fuck off you hate spewing cunt.

  • Police stealing megaphones wow file the lawsuit Michael

  • These police officers should be fired for violating these preachers 1st Amendment Rights this is America

  • these fundies are clearly mad i guess the police are over there antics and disrepect of the laws.

  • I really hope that those police got fired they should be thrown in jail but lawmen are never brought to justice. To my fellow Atheists that agree with this police action you are far more intolerant, intellectually and morally bankrupted then these/vast majority of Christians are.

  • You goota figure, when you do something like he does and you see it's doing no good, then why not stop at that point?

Think Lisa makes a good point.

  • The Elite change the laws according to their will every year.

  • Gays promoting the occult. Lesbian wiccans (are there any other kind) talking crazy. Salem, Massachusetts, was the sad site of innocents being accused of the sickness that people today do for real in modern Salem. So what does the most socialist state in the US do? They jail the few Christians w/ the courage to tell these smelly fishy lesbos off.

  • wow. they can play all kinds of music that promotes lewd sex and violence over speakers, but when it comes to religion... he gets arrested while staying within the law.. where is our Freedom?

  • @lisakaylanemorris Look up hate speech laws. You might learn something.

  • @th3w01fv2 anyone can claim just about anything in the "hate speech law" too many loopholes in its definition. "In law, hate speech is any speech, gesture or conduct, writing, or display which is forbidden because it may incite violence or prejudicial action against or by a protected individual or group, or because it disparages or intimidates a protected individual or group" NOT sure I know where your coming from on this anyway???

  • @lisakaylanemorris For one, I am Canadian (Where we have hate speech laws. That's why the Phelps aren't allowed in our country). Second, these preachers go out of their way to push the buttons and be a nuisance. If they really wanted to spread their message, they would have found more effective ways rather than play the martyr card.

Anyone can get arrested if they are intent on disturbing the peace.

  • @th3w01fv2 if someone is playing music that talks about lusty sex, drugs, etcc.. I could claim "hate speech" on it due to the fact that I am a moral citizen and I believe there is open , public prejudice against me and my beliefs.

  • @lisakaylanemorris Nice try. You know very well if the lyrics were disturbing enough people the cops would have done just the same. Obviously you never spoke to buskers before.

Do your homework before playing the victim.

  • @th3w01fv2 victim?? pretty funny! I wasnt the victim here. I wasnt even there. also, I am not even religious. I am an agnostic. I also live in America. My point being here is that if I can walk down the street and hear religion from speakers, and walk further down the street and hear lewd, lusty, violent music from speakers ,then from my point of view this was an inappropriate arrest. You seem to be too attached to the religious views on this .. I am for appropriate social laws.

  • @lisakaylanemorris Well thank you for being fair-minded :) People are allowed to preach on the streets. It's called the 1st Amendment :)

  • I guess freedom of speech is only for cool people.

  • @RocknForJesus It's for everyone as long as they are not acting like idiots. If you act like an idiot, you'll get arrested.

  • Should've just tazed this douchebag! Ha!

  • @baughskeet wooow you love evilness you are demon you need jesus real bad. that's why you stick up for evil

  • @TheStrawbeery First of all, evil is a noun already, you need not add "-ness" to the end of it. Secondly, I do not "need jesus" at ALL, and please do not insult me further by suggesting so. This R.A. man has a convoluted and offensively awful world view, and ought to be shut up or put away.

  • @TheStrawbeery just face the fact that your evil that's all

  • thank god for a police state - where Christ is fucked.

  • Good work, officer.Christians and their pedophile clerks are a blight on mankind.

  • Obnoxious twats glorifying themselves and getting high on jebus.

  • 'you just broke the law buddy"

    "lawsuit"

So, how"d you make out BITCH!

  • I mean really in Salem on the most important holiday for Wiccans?

  • Have you heard of the concept of a clear and present danger? Isn't doing something like this just calling people out and trying to incite something? Thus creating some sort of danger to peoples well being?

  • I like how the officer said "who' filming this" like it was illegal.

  • I don't trust any cops because 30% are corrupt and that makes me ill, You guys frauds . here is one point, when the cop is trying to get the megaphone out of your hand its not stealing as you say in this video. Your message says you care for other people and want to save them however, your unwillingness to stop, tones, attitudes show you don't give a shit.

When a cop is in a crowd don't shove shit in his face because bad shit can happen, stupid bitch. then we get to hear how she is a victim

  • that monster deserved a police baton up his ass

  • That preacher probably just got arrested on purpose so he could feel something from behind in prison.

  • Those street preachers show up in Salem on Halloween looking for trouble and deserve whatever they get. I'd head-stomp one of the punks myself but then it would just feed their pathetic little persecution/control issues that run through their ridiculous heads.

  • i'm pretty sure trying to incite riots involving zombies is illegal no matter what time it is or with amplification or not.

  • Well what can I say for the guy that got arrested but praise God, in all things. The Apostle Paul was arrested 5 times and counted it a blessing, more Christians should make such a bold stand, it certainly challenged me

  • Well what can I say for the guy that got arrested but praise God, in all things. The Apostle Paul was arrested 5 times and counted it a blessing, more Christians should make such a bold stand, it certainly challenged me

Jas 1:2 Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds,

Jas 1:3 for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness.

  • I seriously don't know how people get this brainwashed. How can you honestly believe that there is an invisible man in the sky? Not only that but of the millions of Gods invented by man how do you know that the Judeo-Christian god is the correct god to have faith in? Your chances of going to "Paradise" are literally 1 in about 10 million if you look at all the gods throughout history.

  • @unseenxxx you may not believe, dont get me wrong i dont want to turn this into a huge argument, but if there is no God then what caused the big bang

  • @xXThermobaricXx I'm not certain, but even if it was caused by a God how do we know which one will lead you to heaven? It's insanity.

But to shed light on the big bang; ask yourself this- Where does a circle begin?

  • @unseenxxx "Where does a circle begin?"

Where i put my pencil down

  • @xXThermobaricXx Magic pencils do not exist. In a more logical format, Matter/Energy cannot be created, has never been shown to be created or ever will be created from nothing. If you can prove there is a mechanism in the universe that allows for Matter or energy to be pulled from thin air, Then you can prove the existence of your God. Until then I will continue to believe that the universe has no creator. There is no truth in blind faith only corruption.Your supernatural rewards are lies

  • @unseenxxx there is not anything that can disprove it either. Humans cannot pull things out of thin air but God can. And believe me i used to be a hardcore drug addict until i believed in what you call a no show God. I tried other methods to stop my addiction but non worked until i found Jesus. also if you can prove there is no God bottle up some love and tell them the chemical structure of it as well as sadness, anger, depression. please what is your next response to it.

  • @geoboyer Sadness anger and depression are emotional responses to what ever happens in your life. They are physically chemicals and electrical signals. They are programmed by your mind. Theoretically I could put them in a bottle.

As far as your drug addiction/depression goes... I was once severely depressed, had heavy anxiety and did drugs. All the while I was a devout Christian. After therapy I became an Atheist. My mind returned to me.

  • @unseenxxx i am not trying to convert you or anything like that, but something must have started the universe so that is were we get the belief

  • @xXThermobaricXx And my counter arguement is, you literally have no idea whether the creator is God, Allah,Thor, Yahweh etc.

Your defense will likely be that there is some kind of science presented in the bible or that Christianity has more "miracles" than other religions. Example: Jesus appears on a church floorboard. or Jesus appears on a slice of toast. It's all fake.

  • @unseenxxx I have no defense to that, the beauty of it is, is that you can believe in what ever you want, or not at all

  • @unseenxxx

god yahweh and allah are the same figure from the abrehamic religions. and Thor wouldn't be the creator, the Allfather Odin would, or Zeus, or Jupiter, or Ahura Mazda...

  • @xXThermobaricXx . Im not going to argue either. but The thing is humans cannot create something out of nothing. Never been done and probably never will. But not only something being created from nothing, after all the planets are aligned perfectly to where you moved earth a centimeter closer to the sun we would melt and a centimeter back we would freeze. This has truely been proved by scientists. as well as the atmosphere, and living plants and animals only on our planet.

  • @geoboyer

hate to break it to ya, but the earth is revolves in a slightly eliptical pattern, and the whole thing doesn't freeze during summer(when it's farthest) or melt during winter(when it's closest).

    astronomy is cool.

  • Lori Lowery employed by the U.S. Dept Of Justice never committed a crime & was housed in the Mens Penitentiary Of Lompoc , CA in 1996/97. Persecuted for her faith , mentally & physically abused in a Men's Prison. Escorted out by Jim D. Mcquiston a ex con who worked as a D.E.A. Informant. Since 1996 I have seen the persecution of Christians escalate on a daily basis in America. We our heading toward a New World Order theres only one problem ! The Beast isn't here yet ! See Rev. 11:7.

  • Some people think the Gospel of Christ is all about screaming *hell *fire*burn*repent*sinners..sooo wrong..the Gospel is POWER of God. If we choose to believe or not its our choice. I've experienced it myself..didn't need anyone to yell in my ear. WOULDN'T YOU WANT TO KNOW IF GOD REALLY EXISTS AND IF JESUS REALLY IS THE SON OF GOD AS THAT BOOK CLAIMS TO BE? Well, ask HIM to show you..A BROKEN AND CONTRITE HEART GOD WILL NEVER DESPISE..seek HIM..I did and I found lots of things on my own!!! :-D

  • It's good to see the police doing the right thing and arresting this scam artist aka preacher. Strippers strip in stripclubs. They don't offend anybody who willingly goes into them. Preachers should only preach in churches, where they won't harass people who willingly attended (who want to hear their preaching). I know this video has nothing to do with stripping but I felt the analogy worked.

  • @Barrettfloyd82

So then you don't beleive in freedom of religion. The cops were 100% wrong. This is a direct violation of first amendment rights.

  • law is a 'living, breathing' entity & the Police are the 'in-the-trenches' interpreters of the law(s)

Provoking a riot & noise-control trumps the ordinances of the city (which are 'guide-lines' & NOT written in stone) ...that's democracy, if u don't like it go start a Christian-ocracy somewhere, preferably @ the bottom of some ocean = )

  • Tell that preachy bastard to shut the hell up!

  • There is nothing worse than tyrannical authority- Jeff Rose

  • as much i hate some police who abuse their power BUT this is one good example of the police trying to prevent a riot or harm to the pathetic preacher who CLEARLY trying to provoke the crowd having a good time of Halloween with hate-believe-God-crap-preaching shoving people's throats down!

  • @Saffroncreature very true.

  • I am glad they arrested him and I think it is 100% Illegal (Disturbing the peace) Respect others around you. Not everyone wants to hear religious babble.

  • @yourajoke5000 Then continue walking down the street. You don't have to stay and listen to the preacher.

  • @yourajoke5000 I AGREE!

  • I love it when these clowns get cuffed and hauled away.

  • Nazi Germany in America.

  • You are showing no respect of law and order by continuing. Wanting the officer (who was just doing his job) fired is not christian-like and shows you have some other motives. This is not what preaching the gospel is about.

One thing is to share the word of God, another is to disrupt public order and be a nuisance.

  • ahhh,,,, first amendment sir

  • If the officer is violating the law, and Christians are commanded to obey the law of the land, which one is in the right?

  • I think talking to that crowd was perhaps a waste of time anyway. They didn't seem very receptive and who could hear the gospel through a noise like that?

  • If they can arrest people for simply speaking God's word on the street, then it will only be a matter of time before all our rights are taken away.

  • Tyranny like any other addiction doesn't know when to stop. They won't be satified with stopping street preaching, they'll move on to you, the next guy and eventually turn on their own!

  • @TheBlazingOne Speaking it? How about screaming it in your ear with a bullhorn. F**K HIM! Every year these azzholes show up. Let him stay in PA. We don't need to hear his BS. Nor do we want to. It's all bullsh*t anyway.

  • These douchebags show up every year with their "Jeeezus" freak act. Becoming a Wiccan has brought me peace, and given me back faith. Something Christianity and all it's nonsense about hell and satan and sin NEVER gave me. Read the "RED" sentences in your bible "preacher". Jesus specificaly said NOT to act like this. Creeps. There are pukes like these down in Texas that were, (are?) trying to make life harder on FT Hood for Wiccans. Why can't these damnable fanatics leave other people alone?

  • I am 100% atheist. I do not believe in god. No form of god. I despise religion in every possible sense of the word.

That being said. THIS IS WRONG.

This guy was practicing free speech. As the video says, it was too early for it to be illegal to talk in the microphone. There, according to the arrested, was another person using amplification who was not bothered.

Free speech applies to EVERYONE, regardless of the words being said.

  • @ since1876 Religion doesn't get you to heaven; don't be deceived.

Simply humble yourself, trust and OBEY GOD; what have you got to lose?

  • The question is not what do I have to lose, it's what do I have to gain? I'm not going to do the Pascal's Wager for many reasons. I won't go into them.

Also, to specifically answer your question, even though it's a silly one to ask of an atheist. The things I have to lose include freedom, time, money (10% of all my money dumped into a collection plate), and, most importantly, I will lose intelligence. It takes NO brain power to say, "God must have done it!"

  • Where, if you actually consider things and look at their histories and work to figure out a reason why they exist, it actually uses your brain and allows it to grow stronger.

Also, please don't answer my question about what do I have to gain. I know your answers, you won't surprise me, you won't change my mind. Don't waste our time.

  • @since1876 Amen to that, since, but many many many police sadly forget this. And by the way, I just want to know where you think you will go when you die? How were you formed? How can you explain all the beauty of this world? Where does your conscience or sense of morality come from that is written upon your heart? All things to think about when you say you do not believe in Christ. I pray that you would find Him. He loves you more than you can imagine. God bless.

  • @ shavepen If you're so inclined on instructing christians on reading "RED" sentences in their bible then why did you turn from the faith? You only prove that you're WILLINGLY IGNORANT!!

  • I willingly turned away from something I never belived in, and went with what was in my heart all along. I'm true to myself. You pray to your God/Jesus and I'll commune with my God and Goddess. Christianity isn't "The" faith, it's "A" faith.

  • Not an unlawful arrests folks...2 courts upheld the charges.....

  • @ lesmoore981 Unconstitutional judges would agree to that!

  • @lesmoore981 what charges?

  • @ninjapersonguy 2 courts reviewed the case and they stated that the preacher was not a victim of an unlawful false arrest and the crimes in which he was charged with, disorderly and i believe trespassing, were within the scope of the law and their job

  • @lesmoore981 On what grounds? That's disgraceful!

  • who lives in da point in salem, i DO

  • @ xantonio666 Visit OPBC once in a while, maybe I'll see ya there. :D

  • While I don't like these semi-confrontational acts of zealousness (especially when amplifiers are involved- they're painfully loud to some of us) these cops do seem to have overstepped their powers. That is, assuming the codes listed in the video are complete and in context. The officers did show selective enforcement, and compounded matters by trying to tamper with the public documenting of the arrest.

As much as I dislike the message of these fundies, I hope these cops were fired.

  • lol i hate our cops here in salem

  • I like 'em well enough. I don't like, nor put up with bullshit in my neighborhood, and they come when I call them. Police are reactionary. It's your job as a citizen to make sure they are aware of things they may not be aware of. These street preachers are nothing but a damn nusiance. There is enough of this crap on TV. We don't need it on the street too. (ruining the festive mood of the crowd)

  • Wrong, wrong, and wrong again. Christians, you make me laugh, (lol). You mean Catholics.

  • I was at Salem last night. This guy is an idiot. I'm glad the cops shut him up.

  • i was there to and i saw the same dude there. and i agree. everyone is having a good time and this guy comes by and bums everyone out. im glad they arrested him i mean he could start a riot or get himself killed.

  • What about free speech, and freedom of expression. And you say Christians are hateful, you need to look in a mirror.

  • lol I don't hate anyone. Just because I don't want to hear his voice doesn't mean I hate him. In fact he's the one who told me I believe in a false God and need to find Jesus because i'm Catholic.

  • Why what did he do wrong? Free speech, if you don't want to hear walk away and go somewhere else.

  • So what we need then is fifty street preachers all screaming in megaphones at everyone. Where is the demarcation line between free speech and being a public nusiance? I say it starts at the least with the megaphone.

  • @airsoftmp5a4 Preaching the Gospel to those that perish is Foolish.

  • Muslims don't use a megaphone - they use a sword!

  • Did Jesus force his teachings on others? How did Jesus preach? When people refused to listen to Jesus, how did he react? These are NOT followers of Christ.

We cannot find a single real follower of the fictional Jesus Christ among Christians today. They are in fact the ANTI-Christ.

  • What do you mean by force, who is forcing who? I just see a man speaking, if you don't want to hear it, then walk away.

  • This is a public place people gather to do their own things. But you sick moses-jesus disturb everybody like a snake oil salesman and shout at everybody.

Why should we walk away when we are not the ones who upset peace and harmony in public areas?

Can a Muslim preacher use a loud hailer and warn Christians they are believing in the wrong cult, & plead to them to embrace Allah? You Christians are never fair and just, always bias.

  • Maybe I'm sitting at the restraunt outside across the street. Why shpould I have to walk away. HE's the one being offensive.

  • An honest and open, public debate would be fantastic! Christianity has always won any debate because it is TRUTH. But they would rather silence dissent than be honest.

  • You christians are helplessly mentally sick. Keep your virus to yourself. You are going to hell to join all those christians who brought upon immense sufferings to mankind. We won't let you seize power again. We've learnt from history. Christianity should have been outlawed after the Dark Ages or else you would not have been another victim of this lunatic cult.

  • We've learned from history that non- Christian nations are hell on earth, while Christian nations are free and prosperous. You are obviously lacking in your knowledge of History. Jesus was not fictional, He is real and there is more historical evidence for His real entrance into the world than there is for Nero Caesar. Get a clue.

  • I'll take a non religious government everytime thanks.

  • @sheavepin

"a non religious government" is an impossibility. Government is always the practical out work of religion. The only real question is :" whose religion is governing?"

I believe you'll find history shows that Christianity is the best government promoting the most liberty for everyone.

  • All government is based on "religion". Law is someone's idea of Morality. So, the only question is: "WHO"S Religion and Morality is governing?" I say God's Law & Government is the only perfect one.

"south American Indians"? I am not sure what your point is. If you are referring to enslavement and abuse under Spain after Columbus... That doesn't represent Christianity. You are parroting rhetoric you heard from someone else.

  • @sheavepin You are so right. Catholicism and atheism both persecute the people of God. Born again Christians have suffered horribly under Islamic law. Hindus have and do persecute Christians. Communists (atheists) killed more Christians than even Hitler. Even Puritans persecuted true Bible believers because they had made up laws (as do all "religions") and obeying the Bible rather than men wasn't one of them. Jesus Christ is a "rock of offense" and a "stumbling stone" to the unbelievers.

  • Christianity is a faith, not a truth. While it may be "true" to you, it's BS to me, as my faith may be to you.

  • @sheavepin

That's funny! Actually Christianity is truth not religion.

  • Truth as YOU see it. And which denomination of christianity is the "right" one? Yours?

  • Wrong again. Christianity is based on real historical events.

'Faith" is not subjective but objective.

  • objective: not influenced by personal feelings, interpretations, or prejudice; based on facts; unbiased: an objective opinion.

    Religion? Hardly....

  • I didn't say "religion" I said Christianity.

Christianity is objective because it is based upon real, actual events in history - not "personal feelings, interpretations, or prejudice".

Truth - "is" - not as we see it. "It" is a person, Jesus Christ.

"Denomination" has nothing to do with it.

For example - do you believe in "absolute truth"?

  • "The ones who walk over and ask are the ones who are called."

This reminds me of J. R. Ryland who told William Carey (Father of modern Missions), "Young man, sit down; when God pleases to convert the heathen, he will do it without your aid and mine."

    Apostle Paul responds:

"... and how shall they believe in him whom they have not HEARD? and how shall they HEAR without a PREACHER? and how shall they preach, except they be sent?"

    Romans 10:14-15

  • preaching the Gospel means "preaching" not just hanging out silently until some one walks over and asks.

  • That, actually, would have been a great costume: crazy Jesus freak with a megaphone threatening people with eternal damnation. What could be more deranged than that?

  • Now you know how the gay community was treated by police in the 60's. My my, have the tables have really turned!

    Where is your god now?

  • Haven't we moved past that? Gays have the right to rally, everyone should have the right to PEACEBLY assemble. You are now the HATE SPREADER.

  • We have no rights. Anyone can murder you, steal from you, rape you, beat you up, etcetera, etcetera, etcetera. Most of the time they get away with it too.

Look at the person posting this video. Of course we haven't moved past ignorance. We have a longgg way to go...

Also, I'm not spreading hate. The tables really have turned. I was just stating facts y0.

  • Actually no-one has a "right" to engage in criminal activity, and sodomy is clearly a crime.

  • ok i dont believe in any of that bible bull shit but this is just fucked up salem police have a lot more to worry about (especially on holloween night) then a couple of protesters trying to get thier point across. i hope this was taken to court and the salem pd got fucked

  • I would have to say the officer did exactly the right thing. He asked him to stop using the microphone so the crowd did not become more enraged. The young man seemed to want to enrage the crowd. So for his own safety the cop did the only he could do remove him from the en cited crowd. Now when he began to resist that was just plain foolish on his part. Its a felony in MO to resist arrest and he should have been sentenced for it. Always obey your local law enforcement.

  • Makes me wonder if those cops are just robots to the system.

  • If the preachers here can not even follow the instructions of a local peace officer. How on earth do you think they will ever be able to follow the instructions of God?

  • no one has to "follow" a cop's (they are not acting as peace officers) unlawful orders. Did you see the city ordinance displayed on the video? Can you read?

The cops unlawfully assaulted and battered at least two people and falsely arrested and imprisoned the street preacher.

I hope the street preacher sue the "hell" out of those cops in federal court!

  • No one has to follow a cops orders? WHAT? Doesn't God tell us to obey the laws of the land?

Isn't it a good idea to keep yourself out of trouble by obeying the system of laws that are in place? That also includes obeying the peace officers that are enforcing them. Fanatical Christian often have bad habits of going into places where theres heavy drinking and lots of people to preach. These officers were protecting this guy from getting killed. They can't help it if he mentally challenged.

  • Read more carefully next time, please. I wrote that no one has to follow a cop's "unlawful" orders.

The passage you are probably thinking of (paraphrasing)...be subject to those who govern over us; they are appointed by God...has to do with the spiritual leaders God has put over the Church, not political leaders.

It's a cop's duty to protect the preachers who go and preach the gospel among the wicked. It is the wicked who need to obey the law and respect the preacher's right of free speech.

  • Umm. I kind of have to disagree here my friend. Although I do admire the young mans courage and tenacity to preach religion to the sinners. He was given a direct order by a peace officer to quit using the megaphone. Ordinance or not The peace officer was doing just in fact that. Keeping the peace. This guy was in dangerous territory here. If the preaching continued this mans life may have been in jeopardy. The cop can't get the 100s to leave. But he can disfuse the situation by removing the prob

  • ok, I see your point. Mine is that the cops took an oath to uphold the constitution and defend it...which means defend the rights of the people against those who would invade or abridge those rights. The preacher had every right under the constitution and the laws to do what he was doing. If there was to be violence, it was not the preacher's doing. The cops owed the preachers the duty to protect them against those who would use violence...not to infringe the preacher's lawful conduct.

  • You have to have a balance though between upholding constitutional rights and Just a little common sense. The problem this young man had was he was too passionate about what he was doing That he let his passion override his common sense. And get a resisting arrest charge. If any judge ever saw this video they would say the exact same thing. Police aren't perfect. There men, they make mistakes, but the major mistakes here were being done by the preacher. Resisting, not complying, just silly.

  • How the hell can someone be too passionate? Are we not to have any emotion these days? when will that be a crime? Where was the passion of the crowd to stop the police for assaulting these people? Lawsuits are picked up by the tax money, so this has no effect on the police. How does this hurt the men delivering pain? EYE FOR AN EYE.

  • That's true of an Islamic preacher as well correct. So when one shows up with a megaphone at your block party, you'll gladly sit and listen.

  • Islam is spread by force and violence. Christianity is spread by persuasion. Persuasion persuades by stating Truth. to deny truth and resort to force or violence means you lost the debate. Your ignorance is appalling.

  • Tell it to the south american indians. (for starters)

  • Now, you are absolutely right that if the preachers stayed out of those kinds of situations they would not encounter trouble. If Jesus had stayed at home all his days He never would have been crucified. The preachers go where they are needed most...the whole have no need of a physician. Sometimes they encounter violence and threats directed at them. That is a risk they are willing to take for the gospel's sake, and the sake of those they call to repentance. I wouldn' t do it myself, but they do

  • So you consider this behavior effective preaching of the word of God. All these partiers are going to remember about this night is how the crazy kid preaching with the microphone got taken down by the cop and sent to jail for resisting arrest. Now im not sure what effect that has on them but im thinking that probably not running right into church on suday because of this.>>>!?!?!

  • Why do you not follow the ten commandments, pal? Thou shall not worship false idols. Your police officers are false idols. They have no morals. They are trained to control, extort and to kill. This man never asked for protection from his crowd. Since when can one man decide what is best for another? You are a sheep and your cops will enslave you and mark you a felon for the same exercise of the first ammendment. Your word of god is a sheet to hide under. You are a man. act like one.

  • you know my rebellious sole says right on brother. Lets take it to the man. Its time to RISE UP AND DO SOMETHING. But my more humble side says. Theres a bigger pitcher here and its not time for that just yet. Stay committed to the cause. And keep out of the eyes of the enemy until its time to make our presence known

  • In the world of loud evangelicals, Mr Marcavage has faded into obscurity. He is the fringe of the fringe to whom no attention is paid any longer. The show was fun while it lasted, but it is time for the curtain to drop. The Catholic group "Tradition, Family Property is least entertaining in their silly red capes

  • Wow! Im am sorry this happened! This happens to us alot, but not as extreme. What happened next? Whats the rest of the story?

  • Pigs are insane. These pigs, like most pigs, don't believe in anyone's human, cival or Constitutional rights.

  • Regardless of the subject, if there was another group using similar amplification equipment at a similar noise level, and they were not asked to stop by police, then this is a case of selective enforcement.

  • why do people and sit around doing nothing while terrorist area breaking our constitutional rights. quit yelling law suite and protect this country with our right to bare arms.

  • Police hate crime and arrest those who preach that crime is bad. Police go to church and arrest those who preach in public. Big time hypocrisy (Pharisees) they have the greater sin least they repent. Also watch preacher arrested on Atlanta sidewalk. Some officers are really terriost in uniform. Slave of those who believe in alla. The word of God say that the false church (religion) god will allow the devil their master to burn them. Why do you bow down to something that is go n to burn u

  • pigs only work for the corporation

  • hey its funny to watch dumbasses get arrested! If you dont follow police instructions then you deserve what you get.

  • Not if what they're doing is not against the law.

  • You are wrong. Police cannot break the laws themselves. Many polices have already been punished doing unlawfull actions against citicens. This clearly seems to be one of them - these christians did not break any laws as the info clearly states. Its not illegal to preach on public area.

  • forgive the cop don't try and have vengence on him for the lord said " vengence is mine"

  • The preacher said, "come to Jesus today."

Is it okay if I come tomorrow, I'm kinda busy right now?

  • It's just a shame they didn't taze his ass.

  • Good for these thugs. They always want to verbally dominate everyone els
