  • THE SISTERS OF MERCY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Liv Kristine was also previously a Theatre Of Tragedy vocalist

  • Leaves' Eyes has this great song, Norwegian lovesong it's all good Liv Kristine is a quite good vocalist, however try Tristania ;)

  • i say this is metallic industrial dark wave

  • am i the only one who thinks the girl in the beginning was pretty decent? O.o

  • so thats what happend to TaTu !

  • I need some romantic goth music suggestions for a very formal gothic reception> Thank you.

  • tristania is norwegian.

  • is this wiccan?

  • some of that bands dont sing goth but i like them and i clasificade them as a goth bands cuz i liket hem =)

  • What are all the songs in the video?

  • what is the name of the song

  • Darkwave or ethereal are genres within the Goth subculture. None of these bands are Darkwave or ethereal. It's all metal/Dark ambient...

Here is a list of Ethereal/Darkwave bands: Lycia, This Ascension, Faith and the Muse, Dead Can Dance, Love spirals downwards, Autumn's grey solace, The Shroud...etc You could at least included the bands I just listed :)

  • is this a collage if all kinds of songs or just one song ?

and if so whats the title ?

  • awesome music

  • this isn't goth.

  • real hit

  • sorry could u tell me what's the name of the first song? thank u! :)

  • @KonanByAkatsuki ''dream'' i think

  • @augismu thank uu!

  • which song did leave eyes sing in the beginning part ???

  • the title is misleading if you wrote gothic metal then no one would mistake it for goth music. real goth music try bands like the sisters of mercy, christian death with rozz williams, diamanda galas, bauhaus, fields of the nephilim, lycia, the wake , nosferatu, die form, screams for tina, switchblade symphony, malign, faith and the muse

  • @djembefola3

There isn't just metal but also rock and gothic ambience and darkwave, so I couldn't write just "metal". I have four videos with gothic music (and GOTHIC is adjective there). In the fourth and third video you can find some examples of goth music too.

    It's not about genre.

  • @djembefola3 Well said, Well said indeed.

  • @djembefola3 would you recommend them bands for me to listen to as i like all types of metal and i love discovering new bands well new to me and yeah i heard of The Muse

  • Oh, now metal is Gothic music...

Do a video with real goth music and maybe you'll gain my respect.

  • @ImaginaryVoncroy

For those who don't know, this is called gothic metal. There is no connection with goths, it's just music for those who like metal/rock/ambient music with dark, gothic-like atmosphere.

In the rest of my Beautiful Gothic music videos, you can find some examples of "real" goth music or whatever you call it.

Camon, stop mentioning the same thing all the time. Everyone knows which is real goth music and which is not. Calm down and respect the phenomenon of beautiful music itself.

  • @LadyMargoth LOL I know what Gothic Metal is (unfortunately) and I am actually glad you know the difference. That said, you seem to have used "gothic" as an adjective rather than the music genre itself, so...

(I don't find Gothic Metal "beautiful music" at all, but that's just me ;) )

  • @ImaginaryVoncroy

Then you have a big variety of gothic rock and darkwave to listen to ;). Sometimes there is very small difference between rock and metal.

Don't you like Theatre of tragedy? Or domestic Moonspell? :) Anyway, it's a matter of taste.

I just don't like when so-called true goths appear to be prejudiced individuals with one strict opinion about what is gothic and what's not. I appreciate quality of melodies, voices and lyrics and deepness of music (genre means nothing!!)

  • @LadyMargoth Actually, genres "do" matter since the Goth subculture is BASED on musical genres related to Gothic Rock. You can't really have a metal version of goth music, there's no such thing.

I don't like neither one of those bands (though Moonspell had its Fields of the Nephilim-like phase). I'm certainly not a restricted person: in music terms, there is a lot of misconception what gothic is and bands use this "label" to sell out records when they have nothing to do with the scene.

  • @ImaginaryVoncroy

I agree with you about goths and goth music - genre matters when it comes to subcultures and so on.

I just want to mention: when you are really into music itself, genre plays no role anymore. The more you reveal, the more flexible you become in music. THEN genre really means nothing. Because, when someone creates really good music, he or she doesn't mean to fit in a genre...

  • What is the band at 3:00?

  • Awesome SDWR-SpeakingToTheDeadWithRadios- .

  • I like your selections of music. Would these bands be a basic intro to gothic metal music cause I am interested in learning. I have found the genre much more complex than I antinipcated. Would you have a 1/2 dozen cds you would recommend as a good starting point.. My background is in christian gospel and I am trying to expand.

  • what band is it on 4:11? XP

  • man i wish i could be goth/emo/scene but my parents hate me when i wear that stuff they think it's shit

  • @uchiaboy2 My parents were like that too when I wore my gothic attire but I just ignored them. I just say, do what you like as long as YOU like it.

Of course, you might get negativity but in the end, it's what you think that is what matters.

  • @Kaicoyote thanks, write now i'm tryin to do that, i have a spiked bracelet and i almost always wear black jeans, and black shirts, and i'm tryin to get my hair dyed black

  • @Kaicoyote i'm 12 and tryin as hard as i can, one problem is i don't really have anyone in my school to relate to

  • @uchiaboy2 I hear you. But I do have to tell you this. You should try to study the background of the style too because there really is an interesting background of how it came to be. The whole "goth" thing is more then just the stupid stereotype of wearing black and being depressed, that's just the media blowing it out of proportion. Happy learning and hope everything works out.

  • i think she'll look better with black hair

  • I like these bands, also Theatres des Vampires, really good , idk if they could accomadate this category but they are very dark.

  • @Cupcakekittie I guess Miranda Sex Garden too maybe?

  • The red haird goddess faver a miss Emillie Autum if any know who she is.

  • she`s beautifull,yeah i know her :P

  • Could anyone tell me who theese godesses be? I be inreaqed.

  • Their are no goth bands listed in this video

"Goth bands" are The Virgin Prunes, Xmal Deutschland, incubus succubus, Two Witches, Lycia, Miranda Sex Garden, Diva Destruction

  • very cool

  • not goth,but nice too

  • It is called "The Dream" from their album Lovelorn

  • um ... what ever happened to having ones own opinion?

  • What`s your problem, mo` fo` ?

Are you a 40 years old virgin or smth?

  • I wouldn't say that's not goth...also in this direction the tastes are very different

  • not knowing fame,

    it yearns for you

  • None of those bands are goth.

Try listening to some true goth music.

Bauhaus,Sister of Mercy,Dead Can Dance,Christian Death, and Skinny Puppy are good bands to listen too ;).

  • oh ladyMargoth nevermind i saw it at the end of the video Thx i didnt know if you were or were not going to put it at the end

  • not dark enough.....

  • i wouldnt call it goth.

  • Not dark enough... too fluffy.

  • @lowlockunknown What would you suggest thats still beautiful to listen to, something slow pref.

  • doesnt sound goth more melodic to me.

  • Thanks for the upload!! i was wodnering.. would u happen to have any recommendations for bands that have a similar style to the darkwell song at about 1:55 i really like the high pitched singing^^ thanks in advance!! 5/5

  • Hmm, I don't really know. Try Autumn Tears, Arcana or Dark sanctuary. They don't sing metal but something like gothic ambient and darkwave, but voices are awesome.

  • Ahh alright then, thanks very much ^^

  • whats the name of that song by sirenia that you used

  • Awesome, awesome awesome!!!

  • cool

  • i love that tristania song

  • There are as much male gothic music as female. And sometimes even duets which I like the most. Maybe women are more tended to sing "soft and symphonic" metal than men do. They prefer something heavier and extremal. Maybe that's the reason. But the core of gothic metal and rock is male vocal. Female gothic metal ir more popular somehow.

  • I'm just wondering.... Why does most Gothic Music have Women who are the lead singer? Please reply...thanks

  • becauce most of music in this video is not real goth music...it's only gothic metal or another metal...it has nothing to do with real gothic subculture...

  • the best pure gothic metal bands in my opinion are the 3rd and the mortal (with Kari Rueslåtten), Tristania, Theatre of Tragedy (with Liv Kristine), the Sins of Thy Beloved, sirenia...etc btw why all of them are from Norway ?

  • umm, im starting to listen to different music so goth is what im trying out so can anyone help me with finding new music? im use to hxc and techno music lol

  • since you are new to goth metal try Nightwish, within temptaion though they are not considered purely gothic but they will put u in this genre nicely for pure gothic metal try Tristania, Draconian (Gothic Doom), Asrai, Theatre des Vampires that should get you started

  • look up Elecctronicore, heavy metal meats techno. try bands like I See Stars or Attack Attack.

  • Both. But remember- a lot of people wear black clothing, and a lot of people wear black eyeliner- whom are you trying to call fagots?

  • damn gothic music is fucking beautiful

  • Excellent recopilation! Very Thanks

  • this music is awsome

  • not gothic just stuiped i have heared better

  • For those who don't know, this is called gothic metal. There is no connection with goths, it's just music for those who like metal/rock/ambient music with such atmosphere.

These bands have also the elements of folk, alternative, spiritual, symphonic, black metal/rock. The band Gothica is example of gothic ambient. So not every band here is metal band.

  • how can gothic metal have no connection with goths when it says "GOTHIC" metal

  • :)) I don't know, maybe it's just the music's name...... good question!

  • it's just a name... i guess it is because the first gothic metal song was called ''gothic''(Paradise Lost) but both genres are very different, goth metal is metal and goth is goth :)

  • You are right and wrong. Most of them are classified as Gothic metal, so... I know that many people say that gothic has nothing to do with metal, but it is just an opinion.

  • if its alternative metal then it kinda is gothic cause alternative metal came from goth

  • Mortal Love!!!!!!!!

  • I think this is black metal it's o.k though.

  • I dont think it's gothic but if u want it to be then its watever u want!!

  • it's a very nice collection, i know some of them but could use a tracklist :)

  • am i the only one who thinks that there are more beautiful women than liv kristine? although she's got one of the most beautiful voices ever
