I love Muse, and I love the original Saint Saens aria. The integration of the aria into the song is great. The only thing that bothers me, and literally I cringe, is WHY can't he be bothered to pronounce the French right? REEE-pawnds? Sacre bleu! Seriously, the language is even more sensual when you actually say it right. It would have taken this song from cool to an absolute epic ballad along the lines of the greatest pseudo-operatic arrangements by Floyd and Queen.

It's ok for people to have their opinions, but what a lot of people don't realize is that this album is very brilliant music wise. But their older, more menacing sounding songs like megalomania, dark shines, screenager still smash the top of my list. That and songs like motp, butterflies, etc

The middle section "mon coeur s'ouvre a ta voix" is the popular mezzo aria from Saint-saens' "Samson et Delilia." It's an opera based on the biblical story. Muse has a lot of classical influence throughout their repertoire. This whole song is a brilliant blend that shows the bands true love and respect for all wide variety of music. It's really quite extrordinarily put together.
