This video is true. I have first hand experience with this. I had to see a physical therapist to resolve this issue. You can also do the rear delts with light dumbells on a swiss ball but you have to have good form. So yes I snapped some shit up and the pain traveled actually to the back of my neck and to the side of my head from my body being imbalanced with a strong chest and a weak back and delts. True video!
A great warm up for the small muscles and rotator cuff muscles in the shoulders is external rotation. It may seem like Why the hell am i doing this? but really has prevented me from getting hurt.

About four years ago I had this same problem. I never worked my rear delts and did bench press out the ass. I ended up with a dead limb. I was still able to do my bench presses, but for the other 23 hours a day I had my left arm hand tucked in my pocket to 1. stop me from using the arm due to the pain, and 2. to stop my arm from hanging down and adding more pain to the shoulder. Work your rear delts people.
Another tip is to stretch your chest/front shoulder frequently to prevent it from beeing tight/short. But hey, you can do whatever the F*** you wanna do
If the bench uses your chest and Tris as well as your front delts, why would you need to do anything for rears except horizontal rowing? Just because it uses your biceps doesn't mean it doesn't work rear delts the same as bench does for triceps and front delts. o.O

I think doing a rear fly on cables is probably the best one to isolate your rear delts. I've done them many different ways, but cables always seem to do the best. Just have your back horizontal and raise your arms directly to your side and not back towards your legs.
I have this problem as well, be to Physio, and been hitting back and shoulders like a mother fucker. it's getting better. can't lift heavy bench right now. was at 225 for 4 sets of 10-8 but now can't do more than 185... so this video just reassures everything my Chiro/Physio therapist says. You can hit the posterior deltoids pretty well with a barbell doing rear delt raises coupled with rear delt rows. Rear delt raise (exrxDOTnet/WeightExercises/DeltoidPosterior/BBRearDeltRaiseDOThtml) and rear delt rows (exrxDOTnet/WeightExercises/DeltoidPosterior/BBRearDeltRowDOThtml). For the rows, I use straps, which basically takes the forearms and biceps out of it, letting you concentrate on the raise instead of the grip.
Maybe you guys can do a video on the Excercises for the Rear Delt's, I don't know really any effective one's, they occasionally just get hit with my back workout :)
