  • with the new youtube, why dont you just change the title of the video, edit out the beginning description, and remove the annotations?

  • sounds like LInda to me

  • This is about as rare as oxygen.

  • @edwardLRS hahahahaha

  • PEOPLE!!! FOR CRYING OUT LOUD!! I KNOW IT ISN'T FROM THE WHITE ALBUM, OR AS RARE AS I THOUGHT...did you not see the annotation i put in? Think before you type, please!

  • that's not george harmonizing with him. it's john.

  • this song brings tears to my eyes for some reason....not sure why

  • DOUCHEBAG

  • @ThePellepennan Just shut up and go crawl back in to that hole you came from, dumbshit.

  • this has absolutely noththing to do with the beatles. its a song from pauls second soloalbum "mccartney, and i think liers should be tortured to to death. lie about the beatles? some people has no shame, no dignity.

  • @ThePellepennan This video is from 2007....i was sixteen then...I got the facts wrong, okay? or did you not notice the GIANT ANNOTATION covering the intro stating that I was misinformed? I didn't "Lie" at all.

  • @beatles123 you guys! this song is from the FIRST Paul's solo album; McCartney, released in april 1970, but Paul was working on it when they were still together. You can "have it" as a beatles song as well , since it is was included in Anthology 3 in the 90's.

  • @ThePellepennan bitch.

  • @ThePellepennan Actually, the Beatles were still together when Paul wrote this. They recorded a demo, but never released it. After they broke up, Paul released it on McCartney.

  • @ThePellepennan Paul wrote this while in Rishikesh with the Maharishi; this version was recorded in late May of 1968 at George's house in Esher, part of a large batch of demos the band did immediately before heading into EMI Abbey Road studios to record the "White Album".....so, yeah, it's got quite a lot to do with the Beatles.

  • @ThePellepennan I think some people has no grammar.

  • this isnt rare is the slightest, ever heard of anthology 3?

  • If it's in the Anthology, then it's not so rare now, is it. It wasn't just George, it was the other 2 Beatles too. I like this version better than Paul's realesed version.

  • I do not understand the music press of the 70s and 80s.... Boy, were they wrong...

I like punk, I love hiphop, I'm totally into all kinds of metal, even death.... BUT

Silly Love Songs is my favourite song ever!

I'm sorry it's not cool, mr Reporter of a Cool Magazine....If you don't get the true genius of McCartney, you shouldn't be calling yourself a connaisseur of populair art.....

Or wait.... Maybe you should, cus you're al dumbin'.... dumb dumb dumb dumb dumb dumb dumbdum dumbdumb

  • There is a much higher quality version of this demo and it's not THAT rare..

  • I want to be a musician and/or actress and Paul McCartney and Charlie Chaplin are my main inspirations!

  • I'm sure this is rare. but I hear Linda singing backup. There is version of this with the Beatles. They also did a version of Teddy Boy. I think this is from Paul's house during the recording of the McCartney album.

  • MAN you just can't say hey! I've got a rare version of junk! Because this has lready been releasond on the official anhtology which has sold over 15 000 OOO copies!!

  • 32 people are idiots and 255 people are genius

  • paul marry me :< you are so perfect

  • what he taught, which was not heard of before in the western world until that time. peaceful revolution against the roman occupation. with love, be kind to your oppressors. we can all find all the terrible things religion has done: 9/11, the crusades, etc... point is: look for the good. there are many humble, unassuming people doing following his teaching (i.e. mother thersea, et al.). its not about religion, its about a relationship with my creator thats important. following my gut/my God.

  • @ex227 What in the fuck do your comments have to do with this song? I have a Masters in bullshit, and you have topped me.

  • @Pickininvt an MA in bullshit? it takes many years of being an addict to get one of those... read the comments prior to the one's i made to see what i was talking about. don't half-measure it (which i assume is a usual custom) and only read the top few and never finish anything... in life...

  • he was the most influential person to walk the earth, and his teaching are simple. Constantine defied him at the edict of milan around 320, great move on his part, saved the empire another 100 years because a civil war would have erupted between the pagans and this new christian religion. the point is this: his teachings were to love one another and to be a good person. period. what humans did in his name after him is unimportant. what he said is. its not about religion and dogma, its about

  • i cant believe i signed in to write this, i must be really bored. i have a Masters in Mediterranean history from Cambridge, not that that makes me better or more informed than anyone else on the subject but the fact remains i did study the time period for the greater portion of my adult life. that being said: a) there is plenty of evidence Jesus did in fact walk the Earth 2000 years ago, so there is no argument there. b) whether you believe he is the son of God or not is irrelevant...

  • Paul McCartney is the best spokesperson for junk

  • theres a Beatles version called "Singalong Junk" as well as a Beatles version of "Junk" on the Anthologies.

  • This is everything but junk.

  • Que fotos (ou pinturas) feios, parecem q estão inchados rsrs

  • this isnt rare, they did alot of takes for this song during the Get Back sessions.

  • WHAT A PUTZ!!!

  • WHAT A PUTZ!!!

  • Rare indeed...only owned by the millions and millions of people who purchased anthology 3...also, thanks for the extra time at the front to confuse people it was actually a longer Beatles version. Well done!

  • this is not Esher Version where is George??

  • This is a beautifully crafted song which is, I think, hugely underrated.

  • u said it was rare because it is 2 youtube. bunch of crap u said it was rare 2 get more views

  • The song smells.

  • Oh my love.xxx

  • Nicw

  • from anthology 3

  • can someone tell me on what album is this song?

  • @deezswallow 'McCartney', his first solo album, released in 1970 i think.

  • @deezswallow PAuls first solo McCartney.

  • @shakedownstreet48 yestarday!?!

  • @deezswallow THIS version is actually on Anthology number three

  • So much feeling with one guitar!

  • sentimental and very sad song

  • I have on dvd a rare coy but damaged footage of Paul trying to sing All Things Must Pass with George. It doesn't sound good, he didn't understand what George was trying to convey. And on the same footage from the time they were making Let It Be Yoko screaming/screetching to Beatle music, I can't believe they let her drone on like that. It made my ears bleed.

  • It's not that rare, it's on anthology. But I'm sure someone has pointed that out by now. lol

  • la concha d tu madre un minuto diciendo estupideces...

  • Don't worry beatles 123, there's never a shortage of clowns to get upset about the use of 'rare' when describing Beatles outtakes. Whatever gets them thru the night . . .

  • It most certainly is rare or difficult to find on YouTube as I could not find it yesterday when I searched for "The Beatles Junk" - or a combination thereof. It is #7 on Anthol 3 CD1. This is The BBCs Radio2s Sounds Of The 60s Beatles A to Z song for week starting SAT 14AUG10 where the history of this song is given about 40 mins into the prog. This can be heard online for 1week only by going to the prog site. It was recorded at George's house. Thanks for posting.

  • It's not rare. It's on Anthology. Great tune though.

  • Broken-hearted jew?

  • @NomadRepublic it's not broken-hearted jew, it's broken-hearted jubilee. Defenition: 1. a time or season for rejoicing

    2. a special anniversary, esp a 25th or 50th one. (I think he's lamenting a day that should be happy with a party but isn't.)

  • @Tsarevna303 Ahahaha...I was just kidding, my dear. I'm very familiar with the song. Just being a wise ass. :~)

  • @NomadRepublic That's what I thought it was at first too, before I heard the "-bilee"

  • @NomadRepublic Hahahah funny!! :D I always play with the same misheard lyric even though I know it says Jubilee!!! Broken hearted jew... Believe!!!

On another subject, I have no idea why this song didn't make it to the album, it's an absolute beauty. It was the time I think when John started getting all funny about Paul being another Englebert Humperdink, or a Sentimental Crooner, or any of the nasty stuff he labelled him with that he didn't seem to mind before. My guess is he was simply tired.

  • The melody is just divine. They really had the power of bringing already beautiful songs to the studio.

  • waste an entire minute with stupid dialogue, why dontcha

  • it's just on Anthology 3!!

  • Not only is that harmony dubbed by McCartney (no Harrison here) but this is in crap quality and the intro is longer than John Lennon's beard... Plus, this "rare" song was in 96's charts for a few weeks -.-

  • En esta version, se puede apreciar la maravillosa voz de Paul, cómo armoniza y vibra al unísono con los instrumentos. Es genial

  • great harrison track!

  • this isnt that rare it was on the beatles anthology :)

  • @neonHEARTSbitches you're right!

  • esta es la originaaal !!! no es rareee -.-

    lol suckeeer!

  • what a cute song

  • This is Paul, not George.

  • @775987mb No shit we got it already!

  • fucking great song. im flamming

  • 1:07 i have a shirt with those pics on it^^

  • I like this version better than the official one, just 'cause this one sounds more powerful and intimate, and just much more beautiful.

  • Beautiful. Simply beautiful.

  • sounds like 'mother natures son'

  • Any chance you could make your "blue screen" notes 12 to 17 minutes longer?

  • This isn't rare, Apple sold millions of Anthology 3 CDs and this is on it. It's probably at your local Best Buy as you read this.

  • Isn't that Paul and Lennon?

  • junk and singalong junk are indeed on the mccartney album. great song.

  • It's not on Ram. It's on McCartney.

  • Its as if the lyrics are already finished and he hears them his head but can't quite make them out. Listen how "Buy, buy says the sign in the shop window" comes into focus over the three choruses.

  • not george, its linda singing. its a womans voice. could have been a great song finished properly kh

  • Paul DID finish this song "Junk" it's on Paul's album "Ram" (but its not played with the Bealtes of course)

  • @harck1 It actually is finished, just not with the Beatles. It's on Paul's solo album McCartney

  • Wonderful. Such an exquisite song, delicate. How could it come from gazing upon ...junk? What an unlikely inspiration as they say.

Can you make the intro a bit longer? Only kidding!!

  • Not so rare, it's on Anthology 3.

  • @DrownedByTheStone

My thoughts exactly. Since when is the Beatles Anthology rare??

  • So when are they going to start cloning Paul then? LoL We need his musical genius to live on long after he's gone!

  • @he11kat how do you know he hasn't been cloned already o.o?

  • @he11kat sorry it was thumb up u__u my mistake

  • Paul is the greatest singer \ song writer that ever lived.

  • i think the problem is that being a slut is what's selling now, but we have to keep the hope, good musicians are still being born or practicing waiting to be heard in the future

  • i know im only 13 and i think the same way! that should give them a hint to find some more bands like the beatles!

  • I'm 20. How i wish i could go the music store and find new worthy stuff. I can't. Find a new band with good music is very rare. Just ladys gagas and rappers out there. THANKS GOD there are many jewels from the past like this one.

  • check out dr. dog. great sound

  • simply beatiful, i cannot believe many of my generation dont appreciate this

  • Im not sure what you mean, the bealtes still have a large grasp on popular culture.

  • yes but a lot pf kids dont apreciate them

  • Sure, but they all take it the wrong way. And people seem to think it's paying respect when they make crapy cover versions for commercials.

  • that's because no big beat, super loud bass and the singer doesn't dance when singing, and let us not forget the bling costume.

  • love the 90 minute build up to something that is massivly available at ANY record store in the world.

  • this isnt rare

  • I believe McCartney released the 'McCartney' LP before the final Beatles recordings were done... there are also Beatles anthology recordings of Paul doing Teddy Boy in the studio with the others./

  • WHYYOUDOTHAT IS SO PLENTY RIGHT

  • This is just the version from the Beatles Anthology 3. I wouldn't say it's rare. I would, however, say that the audio quality of this upload version is shit.

  • You have done us all a favor - good for you beatles123.

    Keith

  • please lower your volume if it's too loud...genius.

  • There is something magical about hearing Beatles outtakes, and rehersals.

  • "Buy, buy" says the sign in the shop window

"Why, why?" says the junk in the yard.

Every once in a while, Mac could write a decent lyric.

  • Paul Mccartney is legend, his lyrics are genuine and original, without him, there would be nothing worth listening to today. Without any of the four.

I'm not being all rowdy, but honestly, Paul is the shit.

  • @MarkToTheSky SORRY MAN, BUT THE SHIT IS YOU CAUSE YOU WOUL LIKE TO BE AT LEAST THE SOLE OF HIS SHOE AND AM SORRY BY MY SELF FOR SPENDING THIS TIME

  • @MarkToTheSky I'm french, maybe i'm not understand your post , but "Paul is the shit"?

WTF ? Is the Musician of the XIX "siècle",

Great man, great voice, talent, vegetarian.

Paul is just better than jesus, like the Beatles. So listen the beatles with Macca, or don't listen beatles (just take it, or leave it (Strockes Ahah:))

  • @StampsGuys In american english "x is the shit!" = "x is the best!"....

    sometimes I don't get american english... -_-

  • @StampsGuys "is the shit" is a phrase often used in America to mean that the subject in question exceeds the highest standards set forth. If one enjoyed eating chocolate cake, they may say, "Chocolate cake is the shit!"

  • @StampsGuys saying paul is better than jesus is like you are saying meat is better than car, nonsense!

  • @MyDreamside seeing as tho Paul is an actual person and is clearly visible yes he is better then jesus, mainly because no one has ever seen jesus and there for it is an unsubstantiated and lazy way for explaining human existence.

i may have taken what you said out of context but are you comparing meat to a car?

  • @Saffire192 jesus was a real person! And many people saw him.You may dont believe his preaching but he is a real historical person.

  • @MyDreamside maybe he was, but i highly doubt he was any different to the rest of us.

  • @MyDreamside Jesus never exist... it's just a idiot story to take our brain... but some millions of stupid believe in this superstitions... Thounsend years under stupidity, pain, terror and affraid of the hell or heaven... stupid humanity ...

  • @Brannruz learn history because you probably dont know a thing

  • @MyDreamside ¿history? that it's not history it's a myth in fact... It's nothing write about so "important person", VIP that you call Jesus. There does not exist anything written in any Roman document of the epoch. And logically after so great event it should be normal that one was speaking about a man who passed three years doing miracles and facing the government of Pilatos and Herod up to dying crucified ... not?

  • @MyDreamside There is no an alone truth in this book of myths called " the new Testament", because logically it does not seek to tell the truth if not to cheat the ignoramuses and superstitious inhabitants of the planet of those times... The incomprehensible thing is that in 21st century they continue existing these superstitions that so much I damage have provoked the humanity between holy wars, tortures and murders in name of this false god...

  • @Brannruz i dont want to go into this, there are people who dont believe in jesus preaching that's ok but it's stupid to believe that there was no jesus, jesus existed you may dont believe he was son of the god but there is no way that jesus never existed

  • @MyDreamside Also is no reference in Roman documents on the children's slaughter that supposedly Herod carried out to murder to so called " King of the Jews " when the magicians Melchor, Gaspar and Baltasar came to Palestine. The deceitful stories that are reported in the book of the myths " New Testament " speak about thousands of innocent children murdered by the army of Herod...

  • @MarkToTheSky Don't you like these musics?

So you understand got to your music world it's lost.

The music it's this and nothing else.

I'm brazilian and have pride for to like The Beatles.

But you? Is happy for to like Justin Bieber or Lady Gaga?

You is lost too, with your musics.

If you want, some day can like Beatles too...

Is only know what is music!

  • @Banaziow96 Dude, I love the Beatles man. My comment was a compliment, I was in no way insulting this music, I do in fact make music, and everything I make, it's all inspired from growing up listening to the beatles.

  • @MarkToTheSky So sorry.

Like i say, I'm brazilian and maybe not understand your comment.

    (My english it's little).

  • seriously just reupload the damn thing without the JUNK introduction

  • haha yea that intro was a bit tedious.

  • no offence but this is from anthology 3

  • i really don't like looking at fake pictures of the beatles...ugh!

  • Dude, you suck making videos. I don't want to read your bullshit for a minute before the music starts

  • love it!

  • ok guys, 'Couple things:

I know this is just paul now.

i know it isnt rare really, but i ment, rare for youtube.

and as for the comentarry, just skip it, you can skip it without waiting on it to buffer--its sort of a glitch.

please, just enjoy it for what it is. ^^

  • @beatles123 Ha, i thought the same thing. Is it really rare when you can go to the store and buy the anthology?

  • Comment removed

  • okltsply - the Beatles aren't for you.

  • I'm 43 been a fan since i was about 14, I love the Beatles, but I am able to separate the artist from the art. You see the inability to do that today in the Michael Jackson fan. To any person who has a basic understanding of psychology it's easy to deduce that the man was a pedophile, but don't try to reason that to his fans. Inability to separate art from artist.

  • So this song is what makes Paul better than John? OOOOOOOOOOK.

  • i take that back, there are subtle diff in this version

  • def on the anthology, not that rare. a great version nonetheless

  • this isn't rare. it's on the anthology cd..vol 3 i think.

  • is this george or paul

  • george is in this demo!

  • I can't believe this song is by Paul! I first heard it on a movie called "Hanging up". And was bothered by the song for months, but I didn't look it up. Then I heard it on the radio just this morning ["Breakfast with The Beatles" portion]. Paul is the best!

  • That is Linda his first wife singing in the background.I do not believe that any of the other Beatles were involved in this version.

  • thank you.

  • this version is beautiful......is one of the best paul's perfonmance....evrytime I cry with this song....thank you paul....

  • Paul was an intelligent person can follow a project full of musical talent that you have to think it was by the beatles jhon have lasted much less paul imposed discipline and commitment really talented mimic a big question mark paul i love

  • george is not on this demo.

  • What a voice Paul has. He could be so sweet and could still belt it out. Great singer.

  • paullllllllllll!!!

  • lennon was out of touch, kinda of started retreating into his art school student ideals

Paul is just a lover at heart who can write a tune

    together they were magic

  • George isn't singing on this. Paul double tracked his vocal and I think he's doing ALL the guitar work as well.

  • McCartney brought the honey and Lennon the vinegar. Together they created music that has stood the test of time. Forget the acrimonious relationships and personal bs. Just enjoy the music.

  • You are completly correct!!!

  • Paul liked the popularity, but John not so much. John was all about reality, and later condemned the Beatles as fake and meaningless; but really, I enjoyed more the fantasy aspect of the Beatles, the "myth" as John said, and I now realize it was Paul's idea, or encouragement of it. People WANT something to believe in, and he emulated that.

  • Actually Lennon lived in a myth, Talking about Peace and Love while beating his wife and pretending Julian didn't exist. Left- minded people are like this generally, they involve them selves with macro self righteous intent to avoid their inner pain and lack of empathy for those close to them. What he despised about Mccartney was what he couldn't be, and really deep down wanted to be.

  • And so now we have the classic Indians and cowboys, good guy bad guy. This is all created by the media that is Left-Minded also. So now we're set up, hate McCartney( shallow, materialistic, egotistical) love Lennon( Macro intent- love, peace, utopia) Of course this is not true but we've been conditioned to believe it.

  • The real truth is that in the end what he criticized Paul for "he writes silly love songs" is what he ended up becoming before he passed away, " starting over" " woman" but he gets a pass by the critics.

  • o boy... you got it all figured out. is god real btw? j/w

  • <
