cane corso wern't breed to hunt boar they were acctually called butcher's dogs and as the name implies they were breed to be and all round help in rual itay whether it be flock protection help with the slaugther or personal protection of the famer but they r not breed to hunt they can be taught but it was there intended use !!!

Before i heaved him I made research about the breed, historical, breed line along the years so on. CC is a grown mentally and body at the age of 2-3 years.Now it is important that your dog have social habits.To you, your family, a new space.Now is an important basic training. (name, obedience, sit, lie down...) The dog training wild boar' send you info on private messaging or email.

@ccalidor corso's lack important things when it come to hunting boar first is stamina they r to bulky of a dog to run10 to 20 km's and then hold a boar. second there sense of smell I can tell u theres a big difference between a hunting dog nose and a corso nose third is drive coso r more fight drive not prey drive theres id a big difference take your dogo to somewhere like east texas and see how it hold up I bet u in 45 mins to and hour that ur dog is done like dinner they just dont have it!!!

Very lucky dog to be able to do what he was bred for... however here in USA you aren't going to find one sound enough to hunt. I've done cane rescue for 20 years and hip dysplasia is rampant. The only breeders who "don't have it" are the ones who don't test...

They must have the stamp of veterinary.But the reality is sometimes different...

Once they feel part of the familly they would give their lives to protect you, I saw that with my last one. I would like to see a fight between a boar and a cane tho lol must be intense. @ccalidor I have hunted with Cane Corso before Ran him with a redbone bay dog and a 120lb american bulldog Scott/johnson cross type the bulldog was catch dog cane learned fast did really really well I sold him to border patrol as a working dog for guy that work on their own He was a great dog could dabything you made him understand you wanted done and his natural gaurd insts were amazing he was like the secret service of gaurd dogs

Great dog. You should buy a protective vest like I have for my bullterrier. I know your dog is good, but all it takes is one hit on the artery and your dog can bleed to death right there next to the pig. Order one from the USA....valley creek hunting supply... Search on Google. Good luck!
