I am sobbing, that heaving kind....but a HAPPY cry for a change!!!! This is just beautiful. Thank you for sharing this and for what you are doing. This is just awesome.
I adore this video! Im so thankful for this organization. Im reading the other comments.. Im sure they would love to take every single dog. But they can't. They are doing something amazing, giving out FREE spays/neuteres and helping the dogs live a much better life. Love it!
Such gratitude from this happy guy!!! "Look at me GO!!" He's so happy to be FREE!!! Thank you wonderful people for the fence for Tiger and for setting him free. I hope his owner will give a little more consideration to him in the future. Education is KEY!!!
@loriahensley You are so right about kidnappng the dog not a solution. A friend and I recently considered that very thing until we realized he would just get another dog. Very good work and like you say, its about improving and doing what you can, any change for the better is a good thing :)
This is amazing! So many poor little dogs spend their ENTIRE life on a chain with no companionship. It's Sooooo brutal. I can't image how long it takes for the years to pass by. Thank God for people who care!
I appreciate what's going on here, but fence or no fence, the ignorant trash who would keep a dog tethered on 10 feet of chain are unfit owners who don't deserve a dog. The dog will simply be a backyard dog who has to stay outside in all kinds of weather, bored, lonely, with empty bowls. The only improvement is that he's off the chain - he still has the same neglectful idiots for owners that he had before.
I was thinking the same thing randy. It was obvious the owners are no animal lovers, but at least the coalition made Tiger happy. I just enjoyed seeing Tiger being loved by the members of the coalition.
I cried the whole time! This is absolutely amazing and touching! God bless you all && everything you do! Tiger looks soo happy kissing everyone and running crazy! :)
Oh god I bawled right through this. But I also don't understand why this obviously wonderful dog has to be outside all the time. If the yard is not fenced then he has to stay indoors and be taken for walks or dog park trips etc, by the owner? I would love to have a fenced yard for my bully, but I live on a boat and therefore understand that regular walks, playtime and swim time with her is part of my dog owning life. Why have a dog at all if you are not planning on interacting with it.
Thank you for what you do. Sadly most owner we encounter in GA let their ego's get in the way and won't allow the help b/c they think they are good dog owners. I gave a guy fencing 4 months ago for 2 dogs and he swore he had people to put it up. The fencing has down disappeared (most likely sold) and the dogs are still there, chained and fed only every few days. At least TIger has a happy ending.
God bless each and every one of you for giving Tiger his freedom back. I cried many happy tears watching this video. Can you please tell me how you got this organization started and if there is something like this in colorado??
i just want to say thankyou for every life youve given back.....i hope people who watch this from all over usa set up similar groups and set many more lives free :)
The joy in Tigers freedom is so evident!!!!!!!! Why have a dog as a pet if you are not going to treat it is one of the family?? I would never dream of chaining my Rotties outside!!!! At least he is free of his chain, and really hope he stays that way, and hopefully even get into the house from time to time. Adore Boxers so this vid. is especially touching to me. Way to go guys xxxxxx
Thanks Nicole for showing me the wonderful things you guys do! It's so amazing to see how happy these babies are after you unleash them. It's great to know there are still some really terrific people left in this world.
It was SOOOO painful to see Tiger dragging around that heavy chain, like a prisoner.
It was SUUUUUCH a relief to see him free of his fetters, racing around the yard like a dog is meant to do, happy as all get out.
But you can tell he loves human interaction as much as he loves being free. So, as other posters have said, I hope his family honors his needs to be with them -- in the house some, on walks, playing in his yard.
I'll never understand the mentality of people who keep dogs like this beautiful Tiger in such horrifying conditions. He's so sweet and loving and just wants interaction and to be able to stretch his legs. Thank God for people like you who truly love and care for animals. It's a wonderful thing you are doing. Thank you!!!!!!
Incredible! This brings tears to my eyes every time I watch it !!! I'm joining , donating and spreading the word!! Wish we had an organization like this in California!
Watching him burn around the yard and his nubbin wagging makes this the best video! So emotional! Im of the same view as tofupup1 why isnt this beautiful boy living in doors. He should never have been on that awful chain in the first place!
Love these people I have donated to them. The best part of these videos is the second the dogs chain is taken off they become a new dog. This is a great cause donate something. This video has over 8,200 views what if everyone gave just $5.00 you do the math.
But being in a small dog run and ignored by the family, with no walks is still going to create a sad creature.
Why not fence in a larger area of the yard? Perhaps the entire backyard? And do you provide education / coaching to the family on how to treat their dog? Walks, playtime, attention?
Some people don't have the money to live in a beautiful house with a perfect yard. I don't. You would call my house "shitty," too. But my dogs live inside and are happy. At least this dog can run now. Why don't you have some compassion and be happy for these dogs and grateful to the people who are helping them instead of being such an ass?
@tofupup1 That has always been my thought why even get a dog just to stick it on the end of a chain, that is so ignorant! Give the dog a bath and show it some respect and bring it in the house!
What an awesome group! I am a pet portrait artist and donate a percentage of my art sales to animal groups and charities--Now I know where my next donation will be going :D
All it takes is just one act of kindness like this to change the world for one family. Thank you for believing that one fence has the opportunity to change all the lives in the household, and even the neighborhood. Cheers to you all!
Thank GAWD for folks who truly understand the dogs need for freedom! Thanks to those of you that volunteered to build this fence and donate the materials. I know it's not always education that's lacking in all owners. Some folks lives change for the worse and they themselves can't afford decent housing, let alone fencing for their dogs. At Boxer Rescue Ontario we hear of this too often. The time, money & effort to improve their lives is well worth it ! KUDOS & CONGRATS to all of you!
I'm so glad that there are people like you in this world. If you lived near by I would volunteer. It's so sad that there are so people in this world who just get dogs and throw them out into the backyard as soon as they get to big or annoying. I couldn't imagine leaving my dogs out there in the heat and cold like some do. They spend maybe 1 hour in total out there in a day. (not counting there walks of course) It still saddens me to know that this dog and many others are so lonely and abandoned.
I have 2 boxers and I could never imagine leaving them outside alone for even an hour. I bawled watching this. It really touched me, watching this puppy get so excited to be off that leash! I agree with others though, he needs attention and love. It's pathetic that pet owners do this to their animals. We have a woman down the street who does this with her boxer and the poor baby is even out there in our harsh Wisconsin winter weather. Thank god their are people out there that have hearts.
Kidnapping the dog solves nothing. The owner will simply get another dog treat it the same way. Education is the key, and that's a big part of what we do -- but you can't show that in a 4 minute video. While we can't make every situation perfect, we are most certainly improving the dogs' lives greatly. That's why the end of the video is so much better than the beginning.
I agree with Lori BIG TIME. I work for a boxer rescue and just taking a dog away doesn't solve the problem.. good illustration of this is another video by lori here called Rodney and Amanda's journey.. THAT is the kind of commitment it takes to really change this world for our pups.
OK, cool, but the poor dog will still receive no interaction but for an occasional refill of a dirty food or water bowl. She will still be pestered by flies and mosquitoes and probably die a miserable death of heartworms. Wouldn't it be more useful to chain the pathetic thugs who did this to this dog in the first place? We know who they are. If you live in DC, Atlanta, Detroit, or Chicago, you know who they are, too. Solve this.
Amazing work by you all... the "Army" rocks... this touched my heart. being a boxer lover but I've watched many of your video's now and I commend you all for what you're doing...
How great that these awesome people spent there time improving this poor dogs life. Now if we could only educate the owners on the fact that dogs are pack animals and are not happy living their lives alone in a backyard. They only want to be with their people.
Very nice idea. We would need many thousands of these fences in Greece, but a lot of the time, the dogs are just left with no food or water and so would perish through neglect anyway.
this made me cry! ur dog looks just like my old pitbull tiger but smallr (i miss u tigger!) i lost my dog when i was 3 and i still miss him, im gonna convence my dad if he can do dat with all my dogs so they will be happy like that dog.i hope it will work, maybe u could help me do it...maybe
