  • yeah!

  • your so cute :D'

  • sumone know how many note/key does an ocarina have?

  • depends on the ocarina.

10 Hole ocarinas Have an octave +3. Say its tuned in C. You get C-F, plus all accidentals in between. You can also over and underblow to pitch bend and get more notes.

12 Holes let you go 2 extra notes below the tonic. Ocarina in C will range from A-F(Octave +5)

Pendants range from 4-6 Holes, and can have anywhere from 1 octave, to an octave plus 3(with all accidentals)

Inlines generally come in an octave plus 2 or 3 i think. 2 above the octave, and 1 below the tonic.

  • Most ocarinas you find will be tuned in 3 Keys. Key of C(all Naturals when you play the major scale), Key of F (1 Flat when you play the major scale), or Key of G(1 Sharp on the Major Scale). Though, there are some makers that make them in other keys.

The major scale is normally the first, and simplest finger pattern you will learn on any ocarina. 10 and 12 holes are very linear, starting from right pinky to left pinky. Inline's are sort of linear as well. Pendants use finger combination

  • There are also Double, Triple, and Quadruple chamber ocarinas that allow you to have extended range, A normal 12 Hole Transverse only has an octave +5, while a double can give you 2 whole octaves, a triple gives you three notes shy of 3 octaves, and Quadruples give you the full third octave.

Some triple ocarinas have overblowing techniques that allow you to get the full third octave.

    ok i'm done xD
