Yeah it's kinda stupid how these idiots just replace the toilet without reliazing that these toilets can be good water savers. I am not a toilet collecter though I'm planning on though. I have a great suggestion though for you. Go to a salvage parts yard in your area and there might just be one there for you!
@seaco2000 Or you could just go to a furniture reuseable store, theres one in edmonton where i live called home reuseables. I dont know about any in your area you are going have to figure that out yourself because i dont really know about your area much and plus i live 30000km always from you and how am i supposed to know? Ive been to ontario once before. Im sure if you go into older neighbourhoods they have plenty of old toilets in their backyard. Anyways i wish you good luck on finding one!!!
Thanks for the advice!! I found only one place called salvage parts and they were the only place that had 2 toilets. They didn't have any old toilets and it was in a small crowded place... Out of luck but thanks so much for your advice!!
Like I said, there is one problem I live far from you and I don't know to ship it to from where I live in Alberta and plus my mom has rarely even had contact with her for 4 years. I will reply as soon as can because be somewhere for 6 hours. Thanks for the replies though!
Don't worry about the shipping thing, I will deal with that!! Thanks for trying to help, I really appreciate it and would reward you! If you ever can still or find a way how get your hands on one, that would be Super!!! Just keep in mind people everyday are replacing toilets for these new crappy 1.6gpf ones! People are too mentally lazy to change the inside parts of the tanks so they spend more money and labour to change the whole dam toilet trashing them!
Yes I do live in Canada in Edmonton and like I said i've seen about 4 of them in my life one at a gas station built in 1955, one at a cafe, one at a small discount store and one at my moms friends has one in her basement. Like I said I will try to get it on camera for you. The house that she lives in I believe is from 1975 but I dont know if it is actually orignal to the house since most of the toilets are older crane radcliffes. If she replaces it, I will save it because these models are rare.
Thanks for the fast reply! Is it the exact same model?... like the way how it looks inside the bowl?? (if you remember)... It would be great if you can get it on video!! Just don't sleep on it cause these days people are replacing toilets like crazy for water saving ones!! In fact if I were you, I would offer to replace the toilet for a new one or $something! (don't mind the toilet asking humiliation)! I noticed like 99% people don't give a crap about toilets
Where I live it's virtually impossible just to even find one!! Haven't seen one in almost 20 years!! But please try to get your hands on it and replace it!!! They are extremely Rare!! If you get it and decide to sell it, I'll buy it off you for $200! I'm been trying to get that one in my collection for the longest time!! The hardest one for me to find!! I have a cousin that lives down where you are!! But like I said, don't sleep on it before it's gone!!
I forgot to mention another thing! I do not believe at all this UR model was made in the USA! I believe it might be a Canadian 70s toilet since forward traps were discontinued in USA in 1968... So there isn't that much of these models made! This Youtube video is from Canada too!!
I was learning that is was the $cheaper affordable toilets to buy from SEARS in the past, and heard from many sources that there is nothing special about it which I believe, but because it is a part of my childhood and it has lots of sentimental value to me, I really want one of these! I will Pay and/or exchnge you one of my toilets for one of these if you could please get your hands on one for me, and hold it! I didn't want to give up my purple toilet, but you can have any other one!
Where I come from this toilet is not possible to find!! In Canada they keep throwing out old toilets!! It's over 18 years since I've seen that Universal Rundle Toilet!! They are pretty much GONE where I live!
@seaco2000 If you're looking for an older canadian U/R forward trap toilet, then no need to worry. Like you said they are quite rare, I have only seen 4 in my life. There is one however at my moms friends house. I sweat to god though they were badged BB with a csa logo underneath but i"m not that positive, but if I ever go back there, i'll promise i'll film it for you. The problem is that I have not been there for about 4 years now and I rarely ever go there often, so i'll try to film it!
OMG... Thanks for the respond! I really appreciate it!! This one in the video I believe it is a Canadian 1970s version? Not sure though! Do you live in Canada? I would greatly appreciate if you can find out ASAP before she moves or the toilet gets replaced! I only seen these toilets in apartments when I was a kid! I live in Ontario in the GTA! If you live near by, let me know! If your a collector of toilets, I would strongly recommend you to replace and keep the UR toilet!!!
I'm looking for this exact Model!! Look at the shape of the bowl inside!! You can see where the flaps connect with the internal shape!! The person who made this video in Canada doesn't give a crap and doesn't respond to replys!

For the first toilet in this video!, I would have apprecite if you would have been able to give any bit slight information to this extremely RARE Canadian Universal rundle Forward Trap toilet! I have been looking for this model for many years and cannot Find & get my hands on one! Did you find this one in a building or house? This toilet is soo rare that from my intution, there are barley if any existing out there! I would have appreciate it if you could atleast give me a reply!
WHERE THE HELL DID YOU DISCOVER THAT CANADIAN FORWARD TRAP TOILET? I THINK THAT MIGHT BE THE ONE I HAVE BEEN LOOKING FOR!! I live in Canada!! I wish the quality of the picture was better!!!! I wish I knew the company that made that toilet!!!
@Stuey912 unfortunately, it has nothing to do with the way the earth is built. The reason why the toilet flushes clockwise in the northern hemisphere and counter clockwise in the southern hemisphere is due to something called the "coriolis effect" its the deflection of moving objects when they are viewed in a rotating frame due to the earths rotation and the inertia of the mass experiencing the effect.
@Stuey912 think of it this way. If you were to launch a missle from 1 continent to another, you wouldnt shoot it in a straight line instead you would calculate the earths rotation and figure out where the missle would land if you shot it straight and compensate for that. Meaning you would shoot it in an arch after factoring in the earths rotation.
No problem! :D

The coriolis effect has a negligible influence on a swirling body of toilet water. Look up any site about common misconceptions.

i live in canada and my toilet flushes counter clockwise, i think it just has to do with how the toilet is built?
Stuey912 1 year ago 2
@Stuey912 Yup, thats it. A teacher of mine spoke in college about the fact that there is no impact of earth's rotation in water draining direction.
