I cant decide between 'amazing biker off road on a quality bike' and 'clinically insane'. It is amazing though, on my hardtail (merida) i dont do drops over much over a meter, not because i think the bike will break, but because without the rear suspension keeping the rear wheel from skidding on landing is quite hard.

Ballz man! Seriously burly on a hardtail. Everyone's commenting about the frame breaking- plenty of FR hardtails can handle this. What they don't realize is keeping that rear wheel from slipping out when you land is the real trick. Amazing riding.

wow thats gotta be one burly fuckin' frame! thats a "little" much for a hardtail, though there are few with nicely built up rear dropouts and chainstays etc.

I agree that that is quite a bit of stress to put on a hardtail. You can maybe do that a couple of times, but sooner or later your bike is going to snap in two. A full suspension bike won't have that problem. But hey, you live with what you got.

hardtails are for going up like slightly step hillls and for people who want to go fast anyways i know i might be a moderate cyclist and all lol Dx but full suspension is just another thing to break just for example you come of a 40 or 50ft drop and you land hard backwheel first your gonna come flying of tht sucker and ruin maybe ur rock shox rear shock i would be bummed but guys dont let me ruin u if ur purchasing a full suspension i just like hardtails hope this helped u guys choose a bike
