It's all an image thing, it's not like he is even making good use out of all those floor toms. I wouldn't go as far as to say he is sloshy but he doesn't have very good feel. The band is labeled as a "super group" but seems like more of a name dropping cash in to me.

Jack White did start out his career on the drum set so it shouldn't be too unnatural for him, but I do agree. He looks awkward and is much better off as a front man. On the bright side, I do play drums and it's nice to see the camera focus so much on a drummer for once. :D

Bullshit. Live mixes do not sound like this in person. Listen to any performance from any American late night show from the past 20 years (at least), and it all sounds like it was recorded by a microphone that was recording ambient noises from the next next room, or just a complete compressed mess.

There is no excuse for this. It's not hard to record things properly or even decently.
