  • Hi thanks for the video. I was wondering how much use you get out of a die especially when cutting fabric. Does the die wear out quickly and need to be replaced? I specifically want to use this for cutting quilting squares. Any feedback would be so appreciated! Thanks.

  • Very informative, thank you.

  • does this work for tulle and satin?

  • Can it works well with spellbinders' dies to cut fabric in big shot?

  • Great video but I have a question as I am new to the Big Shot and have watched a lot of videos.

What is the shim you are talking about and why is it used? I've never seen it used before.

  • Thanks so much for showing this! I am trying to find the video on how you made the five point star quilt block shown in the video? Is there a tutorial for this? Love it! Thanks!

  • if you use a piece of paper over the fabric it should help with fraying

  • I am so glad to find your demo about using the cardstock on top when cutting through fabric - I had been having that same problem and I think this will help - Thanks for sharing !

  • hi

i just used my big shot for the first time and i love it. one question though, the edges are fraying. how should i seal it? is a lighter the only solution? because it burns the satin edges.

    thanks

  • @designsbydevo it sounds like it may be your fabric. Mine doesn't really fray. did you say you used satin?

  • @ChicnScratch i think it's satin or its definitely satin-like. i chose satin because i was trying to be able to curl the edges with a lighter for the lolly pop look but i don't love the black on the edges from the heat. what kind of fabric do you use?

  • @designsbydevo I use quilting fabric :)

  • @ChicnScratch i will check it out thanks and i love all your videos:)

  • @designsbydevo thank you :)

  • @designsbydevo very good video that should be in Spanish but that did not understand almost nothing

  • Can you tell me how often you have to buy replacement mats, blades and such after cutting a certain amount of fabric. I have a big project coming up and need to cut several shapes of fabric alot of times over. Any response will help. Thanks and take care...

  • @kipsstyle hey there, I've yet to change my blades and I bought mine in September.

  • oh magic! love it

  • Hello angie, why you did some peas of cardstock on the Top?

  • the cardstock acts a shim and you need it to make sure the die cuts through all the fabric.

    Thanks!

  • That was awesome!~~~~~

  • Great demo on cutting the fabric. Would like to see how you made the flowers.

  • great tip. thanks, Robin
