Every House of the Dead game so far has been awesome. My favorite is HOTD3 but 4 is awesome 2. The first 2 are classics and are the basics of what an arcade shooter should be.

i think the arcade version just starts out with red blood, they have an option to change the color of the blood, i was playing this game last week at an arcade and the blood was purple

Blood can be changed by pressing f2 during game play where you can enter the game's configuration and test menu :).

The emulator must've glitched seeing as it was such an early version.

Usually sloths or other minor enemys only need to take about 2 hits in the upper body/head and they're killed but that wasn't the case for some reason.
