Lara's mother's horrible end FINISHED the classic Tomb Raider series. Of course too many stupid things happened beside since TR5, but this was the last and worst mistake of the whole series. She could find her mother frozen or a ghost for her to free, anything would be better than this, Crystal exaggerated with this ridiculous end.
I'm really glad to know that in Lara's new biography, with the reboot of Tomb Raider, her parents are alive. The purpose is obvious: erase the end of TR8.
No one can really tell whether her mother is alive or dead. Yes Amanda may have told Lara that she is alive and in Avalon but Lara has yet to find any evidence to prove that....and neither does Amanda. And the zombie is actually a thrall.
@15SkyAngel Her mother isn't dead. Like in the start of Anniversary, lara says that her mother was in some parrallel *dont know how u spell it lol* universe, and the end of Legend, Amanda says she's not dead and that she is in avalon
people say the PS2 version is bad. Its the same graphics as aniversary and legend, you said then those were good graphics. The only reason you say this is crap is you seen the PS3 and 360 versions.
@klomens agreed, I had the PS2 version, I HATED it with a passion, the cutscenes were cool but everything else was just not Tomb Raider-like to me. Legend & Anniversary looked better, they should've kept it like that. I LOVED the music and how the characters interacted but that was it.
I don't get it why does the doppelganger have a pony tail in the ps2 version and a braid in the ps3 version. And in the teaser trailer she also has a pony tail.
i think in the LAST game, her mother REALY come back, cause she had to fight a long time for her mother, and I am going to be cross if she did it for nothing!

@vinnyvis Erm,sorry to burst your bubble but the PS2 version has cut each level in half.For example,Thailnad has nothing to do with the actual version except the Shivs/Kali statue.

i bought the ps2 version of this game just because my PC crashed and i wanted to finish that game. im rly disappointed by the bad implementation!!

control = damn annoying
laras emotions/face/mimic = sometimes she seems to be a zombie too!
legend and anniversary are looking great, better than underworld on ps2 and have nice controls!
